stuffs2002: You just spoke the truth. Fubara was given a second chance and he has now blown it
I can't believe Fubara would still take this route after his experience with Wike. The man Fubara is completely clueless & an ingrate, when Wike was campaigning for him back then for him to become the governor of the great Rivers State, I was against Wike, so it came as a rude shock in the future when I first read it in the press that they were having issues, I couldn’t believe it, that such a person that Wike stuck out his neck for, had gone against him so soon. It was too hard to believe. |

The people of Rivers state today may purport to support Fubara not out of love, but hate for Wike because he aligned with their nemesis Tinubu, but notwithstanding Fubara is toast, he must go. 48 laws of power states it unequivocally, never bite the hand that feeds u, the people that give fubara the throne, will definitely take it from him, nothing can save him. |

Ofunaofu: Burob, learn to follow a conversation before jumping in and around like a headless chicken. My comment was a direct response to a Nairalander who falsely claimed Wike is a PDP member.
Wike was expelled. That’s a fact. What he belongs to now is Wike & Co Caretaker Committee Ltd, a private political drama troupe loyal to Tinubu and parading as the PDP.
As for INEC and Ekiti & Osun, that issue has absolutely nothing to do with Wike’s membership status. Internal party crises and court recognized structures determine candidates, not your desperate attempt to drag Tinubu into every discussion like a comfort blanket.
Listen, the real problem isn’t people like me deceiving ourselves; it’s people like you confidently missing the point, projecting Tinubu maladministration induced frustrations, and turning every conversation into a tired we vs them brickbat session. Why try & change a person that has chosen to deceive emself, never once have u been correct on any political issue, from Tinubu can never be president, Nnamdi Kanu will defeat the Federal Government, to saying nothing Wike could do to Fubara, then he got suspended for 6 months. U are always wrong everytime based on your tribalist mindset, u always make so much noise initially, then at the end u switch shamelessly. So u are only repeating your actions again. |

Heffalump: Look at the crappy nonsense you just posted up there. Isn't it laughable? You are mentioning Donald Trump and Joe Bide as US presidents at old age. It means you lack bearing with common sense. Let me school you a Little. The American system has advanced democracy and the system runs on auto. Even if put a madman as POTUS, the advanced system in place will cover his lapses. Again, these are Whitemen you just mentioned. Later you will say we worship the Whites. But facts don't lie. Why are we distance behind? Count your teeth before answering this.
Checkout the old presidents we have on the African continent today and tell me if they're living up to expectation. Look at Paul Biya, Museveni, Nguema Mbasogo, Alassen Quattara and your current Tinubu, what's their outstanding performance in governance that posterity will be proud of in years to come? They're serving the interests of Western powers that put them their. Young politicians are edged out in the game because you may not be able to control them.
Even some Western countries are smart to know that young age in leadership is key. Look at Emmanuel Macron, Mark Carney, Keir Starmer etc are all young people belong 70 leading their countries. Shame on you. Like I said, a Failure will always have a reason to blame someone else, or something for being a failure, ok I accept u say u have failed in society because the system in your country allows an individual over 70 to be your president? Why should I argue with a person who has accepted his own fate? |

Before now he for use presidency take pass him message, but u can see he is now going to local govts. U children keep deceiving yourselves, Fubara can only deceive hypocrite children, which he isn’t even trying to do, because the hypocrite children are only being who they are, deceiving themselves. When did u start caring about the APC & Tinubu, what do they need Fubara for? Savedday2: The truth is that , Wike supported Tinubu in 2023 because, he was hoping to replicate how Tinubu was able to establish himself as the undisputed godfather in Lagos state.
But what he didn't understand is that the kind grace and leadership style that Tinubu has , he didn't even have 5% of it. He was seriously hoping that Tinubu will understand him and help him to become the godfather of River state.
In my humble opinion, he should slow down, talk less, stop being boastful and stop picking up more fight most especially from his home front. Absolutely senseless assertion. |

Jayce242: Fubara has never been a coward, just that Wike has been using federal power to fight him which can subdue any state governor. If something bigger than u is fighting u, the sensible thing to do is to retreat. Now that he is in the APC, they now have a level playing ground to settle their scores without one party using federal influence. When did the Rivers state house of assembly become federal power, why do u people like deceiving yourselves? this same clueless Fubara that confessed that it was federal power (Tinubu) that saved him from being impeached. |

Leader of APC in the state with mouth, na so e easy? Politics › Re: No One Above 70 Should Be President, Governor – Pat Utomi by Burob: 9:17am On Jan 02 |
Heffalump: I strongly support Utomi on this one. If the retirement age in the federal civil service is 60years what should someone over 70 be doing as president?
Stiff age restriction should be included in our constitution for political offices as president, governor, senate, and rep.
I could vividly recall, Buhari at 72 was visibly crying that age was failing him. Most elderly people at 70 and over have a myriad of protracted illnesses. It's purely a liability on national budget having such individuals as presidents. Again, the most dangerous one is that most critical decisions, either good or bad are often influenced by the croonies surrounding the president, who is aged and cannot act fast with alacrity. His mental dependency level increases.
Age restrictions should be ensured to keep old brains away from active politics and go into permanent retirement. Senseless talk, the governors of your state for over the last 20 years that were all below 55 years of age when they became governors, if they had done anything meaningful to improve your existence, you wouldn’t have been on nairaland today asserting this nonsense. How is Donald Trump, How old is Biden? age ain’t nothing but a number, if u don’t have decent minded people amongst u, u do not have decent people. U are all the same in Nigeria, fantastically corrupt, even if you make a 40 year old man president, it will only be the same story, or even worse most definitely, failures will always look 👀 for someone, or something to blame for being failures, so make I no too blame u. |
