In summary, contesting in 2027 does not favour Atiku while being patient and running in 2031 is an almost 100% guarantee for him.

As it stands, OBJ's proclamation are mere words until Atiku himself turns them into reality.

if elections were held today, tomorrow, or in future, Tinubu winner, Atiku 2nd, Obi 3rd.

You still need to learn a lot of things in politics. PDP is the only strong party with the needed national structure that can realistically compete for president. Atiku is also the strongest candidate that can face Mr. President in 2027. So, the first thing is to separate both PDP and Atiku. With today’s zoning decision by PDP NEC, the possibility of Atiku returning to hijack PDP’s ticket is dead.

Secondly, there is also a need to ensure Atiku does not get ADC ticket if possible. PDP has no serious candidate so today’s decision is also to put pressure on ADC to read the mood of the country and zone its ticket to the south. Majority of the PDP governors are already working for Mr. President.

So, serious northerners in ADC are looking at the situation and thinking about 2031. PDP has positioned itself for 2031 already. If ADC ticket goes north and APC wins as expected, the party can’t come in 2031 and zone the ticket to the north again. It’s a dilemma they now have to deal with.

No magic, no abracadabra, President Tinubu will definitely win the 2027 presidential election, landslide victory, all these na political activities, Obi can quietly move back to Pdp, east, to get thrashed by APC , west.
