I knew there was a reason Tinubu is scared of the coalition.

Politics › Re: Bye Elections: Labour Party reacts as INEC delists all Party candidates by Burob: 12:56am On Aug 03, 2025 |
SonOfWords: INEC is not empowered by the current electoral act or any other constitutional document of the Nigerian society, to "have a say" in the internal affairs of any political party. The relevance of representatives of the commission in political party primaries is fundamentally in an "observatory capacity".
"Bro, come sidon see o, we dey do primaries today o, make you for gather progress report at the end of the exercise."
Nothing more. But trust the corrupt Nigerian system to always surpass lawfully set boundaries, irrespective of the institution or body concerned. U just affirmed the logic that Eyeneck as observers have said that they did not observe any primaries held by any so called faction of that Laborious people. U cannot build something on nothing, & expect it to stand, definitely it will collapse sooner, than later. The labor party after surviving for 2 decades, became a failed entity just 2 years after that Apga Judas joined them, thanks to Gringory Obi. |

Come to think of it, if everyone were to be a sycophant, were would patriotism come from? Those that praised Buhari to high heavens were the same insulting and calling him names at the expiration of his presidency. Nobody in the APC including Tinubu has projected Nigerian image as Obi has been doing. He constantly points out the potentials and show how to harness them. Don't becloud your judgement with political and ethnicity affiliation. make the man just shut up, quite obvious he has nothing to offer, just rhetorical talk, Anambra state, no be federal government. He'd rather dole out $100k to footballers and let teachers and doctors wallow in poverty.
For the people who go around asking "what will Obi do differently?" Well, Obi will not spend recklessly! is your state governor & local government spending recklessly? I sincerely doubt it. If they cared about you, u wouldn’t be on nairaland crying. |

Politics › Re: From ₦12 Trillion To ₦200 Trillion: ADC Tracks APC's Fiscal Disaster by Burob: 1:42pm On Jul 29, 2025 |
Reference: All the income or revenue in the world will not matter if it is poured into a raffia basket of a government. They claim to have saved massively not subsidizing gasoline yet the economic indices does not reflect a 4 trillion a year bounce, why......waste. There is now more money to fritter away, unproductive spending, useless projects.
I will give you one example. Wike built several bus parks in Abuja metro at astronomical cost. They have been completed for months. One will have expected that by now they will be operational so that they can begin to ROI to ease the need for more debts at that level. Instead they are proving to be black holes so far.
If the project had been a government partnership or private initiative the impact on public finances will be next to nothing but the operators of the economy don't think that way. For them it is all about contracting, taking their cut and moving on.
Tomorrow they will be back at FEC with another proposal, government wil put it in a basket of foreign loans and the cycle of mismanagement continues.
I ask again who decides how this economy is run. What government spends it's money on. That person should stand up and take responsibility. exactly please go & blame the governor of your state, ask him what he did with the money he received from Abuja & the ones raised internally, how much of the state budget was executed?, what concerns u with the Governor of Kebbi or Ogun state? The Governor of each state is statutorily empowered to provide for the welfare of his state. Anyone looking 👀 to Abuja, does not understand the system of government, & democrazy we practice in the zoo. |
