PoliticsRe: Peter Obi Restricted From Traveling Abroad By Nigeria Government by Burob: 4:02pm On Feb 27
Administration1:
Today, I experienced a profound shift in how I view power and leadership in Nigeria. My respect for Peter Gregory Obi didn't just grow; it transformed. Let me walk you through exactly what happened, and why it felt so revolutionary.

If you have ever attended a high-profile Nigerian burial, you know they rarely feel like actual funerals. They often devolve into political carnivals. The standard operating procedure for a "Big Man" arriving at such an event is designed to be disruptive: a convoy of blaring sirens, heavily armed security operatives forcefully clearing a path, the scramble of photographers, and the inevitable interruption of the priest's sermon so the dignitary can take a highly visible seat in the front row. The focus immediately shifts from the deceased to the politician.

I was in Ibusa, Delta State, attached to the entourage of a General for the burial mass of the late Senator Nwaboshi. Because of the caliber of the deceased, the church was a who’s-who of political heavyweights. The State Governor, former governors, and top dignitaries were already seated at the front. Our security team had set up a wide, tense perimeter, bracing ourselves for the chaotic entrances that always accompany late-arriving VIPs.

Then, Peter Obi arrived.

There was no siren. No advance team shoving people out of the way. He slipped through the doors with the quiet reverence of an ordinary parishioner who was simply there to pray. He navigated the crowded aisles without drawing attention and quietly slid into a regular wooden bench right in the middle of the church, sitting shoulder-to-shoulder with everyday citizens. He understood something that many leaders forget: a funeral is a sacred moment of grief that belongs entirely to the mourning family, not a platform for political visibility.

For a while, the service carried on peacefully. But eventually, the protocol network caught wind of him. Our security radios started crackling with urgent, hushed chatter: "Peter Obi is inside. We have eyes on him in the general seating." For the church wardens and political protocol officers, this was a crisis of hierarchy. You simply do not leave a former governor and presidential candidate in the middle pews. A small team hurriedly made their way to his row, visibly anxious, and whispered an invitation for him to follow them to the heavily guarded VIP section at the altar.

His response was a masterclass in emotional intelligence and humility. He politely but absolutely refused.

Speaking softly to ensure he didn't interrupt the ongoing mass, he explained his reasoning. He told them that moving now would cause a stir. He knew that the moment the congregation noticed him walking down the aisle, the whispers, the standing, and the excitement would completely hijack the service. He refused to steal the peace of a grieving family just to satisfy the expectations of his political status.

He stayed right there, in the middle of the crowd, bowing his head and participating in the mass.

Watching him sit there, I realized something profound. We are so conditioned to associate power with noise, disruption, and VIP tags that we have forgotten what true dignity looks like. By actively rejecting the spotlight to honor the solemnity of a family's loss, Peter Obi showed that genuine influence doesn't need an entourage to announce it. It was the loudest silence I have ever witnessed in Nigerian politics.
Who is he to be using siren? Empty Barrel Nonetity.

Mr Man respect Delta State, the Big Heart State is not Anambra.

PoliticsRe: Why Tinubu Cannot Win the 2027 Presidential Election by Burob: 3:20pm On Feb 27
Linzo:
Tinubu has no pathway to winning the 2027 presidential election.

That is the reason they have hired thousands of data boys to keep posting trash on every forum and platform, to play into people’s psychology and make it look like Tinubu is coasting to victory. But na lies — just a strategy that can’t work.

Let’s be real. Which corner of this country can you go to and see people enthusiastic about Tinubu and wanting to vote for him? None, even in the SW.

Go out there and ask 1,000 real voters whether they will vote Tinubu in 2027, and if you get 5 persons out of 1,000 that will, it will be a breaking news.

As it stands today, Nigerians have rejected Tinubu. Yes, except maybe some Yoruba villages.

For example, in Delta North here, you cannot point out any politician that can win his ward for Tinubu. None.

That’s the reason they keep moving around paying influencers and major media houses to create videos and write articles about why Peter cannot win, trying to play into Nigerians’ subconscious minds.

Let’s be clear here: if 2027 is rigged by 50%, Atiku/Obi will win. Except the election will be 100% rigged, Tinubu can’t win.

The data boys will tell you that the opposition is not serious, or that they have never seen an opposition so unorganized, and yet APC cannot let the opposition breathe. They even attempted assassination on Obi in Edo State a few days ago and are also arresting top opposition members. Will all that save APC? No.

The truth is that the core North, including NC, is not with Tinubu anymore — forget the media painting. The only North Central state he has hope in is Kwara, but I’m still trying to see how Kwara people will reward him with their votes after burying hundreds and keeping burying more every day under Tinubu.

As for Benue? Forget it. Just interact with people from Benue State to understand better.

In the SS, I laugh in Kwale language. Apart from Rivers State, where Wike can rig to an extent, there will be nothing for him here. Remember, in the last election, Okpabio struggled to win, and we all know what happened there.

As for Delta? No pathway at all. As for the South East, maybe he will manage to get 20k votes.

So an Atiku/Obi ticket will surely defeat Tinubu. And that is why they have tried to downplay Atiku by all means; they even went as far as coercing Fintiri into APC. But all that will not save APC.

Data boys, please counter me with facts, not generic messages given to you people on WhatsApp platforms. Tinubu has no pathway to winning 2027. Bookmark this post.

I’m Mr Linzo.
