PoliticsRe: I May Give Up On Nigeria Soon by busibodi(f): 8:16am On May 11, 2009
asha 80:
I have always maintained that

most nigerians see nigeria as an enterprise to make money from and not a country to build and serve because there is no feeling of natiohood amongst its people

Until u solve the above mindset u cannot solve the problem of nigeria.
how do you resolve the above mind-set?

Nuzo, dont take nigeria to heart. just do your best.
PoliticsRe: Study- The Long-term Effects Of Africa's Slave Trades by busibodi(f): 11:06am On May 08, 2009
The country that suffered the worst in terms of slavery and colonization is Israel,   for over 95% of its existence it was either under slavery or colonization,
you must be joking. right or go read your history well.

Israel was formed in 1948. It never had any history colonisation or slavery.

PoliticsRe: Nuc Proposes N150,000 Tuition Fee by busibodi(f): 10:25am On May 08, 2009
deor03:
This could be true. The cost of tution at the moment is noe enough to fund education in Nigeria.

However, The govt can take responsibility of this by giving interest free loans to all students ; which they will start paying back after earning a salary of about 1.5 million
if OBJ had not lootted $16bil may be more fund would be available.

if the $180mill bribery from Haliburgton was put to university use may be more fund would be available.
PoliticsRe: Study- The Long-term Effects Of Africa's Slave Trades by busibodi(f): 7:43am On May 08, 2009
get over it.

it must be slavery that made Abacha to loot $3bill

it must be slavery that made Obasanjo to loot $16bill

They are simply pathetic and the people to weak to stand-up for their future.
RomanceRe: Would You Get Married To A Girl Who Has Children From Another Man? by busibodi(f): 7:40am On May 08, 2009
Swissess:
no, but after reading here that a guy is concerned about getting married to a girl that is a single year older than him, a difference of four, five years seems to be an eternety.
Nigerian men likes to be in control. all my brothers have wife younger than them.

But why are you more concern than your friend?

It is her problem to deal with. Everyone has to make their experience.

PoliticsRe: The Nigeria Of My Dream ! Can It Be Achieved By Just Sitting In Your House And Making Comments ? by busibodi(f): 3:16pm On May 07, 2009
So far, AC has shown itself to be just as corrupt and unruly as PDP. Rigging is rigging; Hiring thugs, no matter how many is the same; Bribery is still bribery. So AC is no Saint here!!
indeed.

It is not about saint or devil. It is about free and fair election.

It was recently reported in the media that some Directors of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) were arrested by the EFCC over the alleged award of N1.7 billion for importation of plastic chairs. According to the Tribune Newspaper, the contract was awarded without regard for due process, and the contractor was paid a total of N61.7million for expenses which were already covered in the contract price

PoliticsRe: Final Death Blow To Nigeria's Democratic System by busibodi(f): 2:10pm On May 07, 2009
Kobojunkie:
I was not in anyway saying that PDP did not rig the votes. What I meant was that maybe AC actually rigged it's way to victory in that area and so finding out that AC won and knowing it was by rigging, she decided to cry foul since the expectation was that PDP would take the votes by all means necessary.
Proof it or spare us your arm-chair epistle.

I have no sympathy for whoever loses in this circumstance, not even for Ekiti people as they could have taken a cue from their Edo counterpart if their hands weren't soiled.
and there you go. we never seem to learn from things around us.

When the Nazis came for the communists,
I remained silent;
I was not a communist.
Then they locked up the social democrats,
I remained silent;
I was not a social democrat.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
I did not speak out;
I was not a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
I did not speak out;
I was not a Jew.

When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out for me.

when is Obama and Brown closing down their tax heaven. Let them start with these 3.

British Virgin Islands: the 2000 KPMG report to the United Kingdom government indicated that the British Virgin Islands was the domicile for approximately 41% of the world's offshore companies, making it by some distance the largest offshore jurisdiction in the world by volume of incorporations.

Delaware: A state of the USA which has a significantly low income tax levels (below 6%) and provides tax incentives to US corporations (currently having around 50% of US PLCs registered there) it also has partnership taxation laws which make it favourable to non-US entities, typically allowing taxation at 0% where the partners are registered in non-US jurisdictions.

United States Virgin Islands offers a 90% exemption from U.S. income taxes and 100% exemption from all other taxes and customs duties to certain qualified taxpayers.

PropertiesRe: Piece Of Land For Sale At Obasanjo Hill Top. by busibodi(f): 4:48pm On May 06, 2009
Tinkerman:
I currently have a piece of land for sale at the high brow OBJ Hill Top area in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The location is fantastic. The property is literally 2 mins walk to OBJ hill top mansion. From the location of the property, you can see the Gateway Stadium, The Presidential Library and NNPC mega station. The security around this area is very good. Police are stationed 24/7 at the entrance to the hill top area. The property is going for 15 million naira.
and you think this name will sell the land??
PoliticsRe: It's Time For Revolution by busibodi(f): 4:45pm On May 06, 2009
Nigerians will have to solve the problem of Nigeria. Whilst one can hope for minimal bloodshed, I doubt the required change will ever happen peacefully. The shortest route would be a military coup, trial of all past politicians and embezzlers, and the conduct of fair elections. Unfortunately, even the military is getting worse with time, and soon they will be no different from the politician we are trying to get rid of
and what is your conclusion?
