PoliticsRe: The Uk Barclays Bank Is Turning Ghana Into Africa's Money Laundering Haven by busibodi(f): 4:24pm On May 06, 2009
When I write about money laundering, I am an expert in the field. I am only concerned because the establishment of a tax haven in Ghana would be detrimental to Nigeria's and other Africans interest. and as a Nigerian, I should be concerned.
Obviously you have not done your job well.

List of Tax Heavens that are owned by US/UK:

Anguilla
Bermuda
British Virgin Islands
Cayman Islands
Cook Islands
Gibraltar
Grenada
Isle of Man
Jersey
St Lucia
St Kitts and Nevis
St Vincent and the Grenadines
Tonga
Turks and Caicos
US Virgin Islands

So let Ghana be and enjoy benefit of keeping/using other fool's money for their development.
And stop be the loud speaker for US/UK who are MAJOR beneficiary in Tax Heaven than anyone else.

They simply want to cut other countries from particpating in the tax heaven largese because of their shrinking income at home.

British Virgin Islands: the 2000 KPMG report to the United Kingdom government indicated that the British Virgin Islands was the domicile for approximately 41% of the world's offshore companies, making it by some distance the largest offshore jurisdiction in the world by volume of incorporations.

Delaware: A state of the USA which has a significantly low income tax levels (below 6%) and provides tax incentives to US corporations (currently having around 50% of US PLCs registered there) it also has partnership taxation laws which make it favourable to non-US entities, typically allowing taxation at 0% where the partners are registered in non-US jurisdictions.

there is no internal force anymore. it is internal corruption system.

nigeria was created by external force, it has to be set straight by same external force.

nigerians are too poor to tight back and there is too much money that only a FOOL we died for nothing.

Abacha looted $6billion people shout OBJ looted $16billion and nothing happened.

Wait until Yaradu is gone and you will see how much he has looted!

President Obama is banning the use of tax havens. Gordon Brown has written to tax havens to clean up their act. OECD, G20 all are speaking out against the use of tax havens.
there you go regurgitating your half backed idea.

check list of tax heavens location and you see many are owned by same UK/USA.

Open your eyes, read between the line.

If anybody stashed their money in Ghana. It is Ghana's luck. My only concern Ghana should use the money well.
PoliticsRe: It's Time For Revolution by busibodi(f): 1:47pm On May 06, 2009
I believe resorting to violence simply means giving credence to the aphorism that "might is right".
yes. in this world might is right.

that's why Israelis do not go to church to pray when bombed by Palestian. They bombed back in triple fold.

that's why USA did not go and pray 'in-God-we-trust'. They bombed iraqi/Afgan in double fold.

that's why UK with is tiny island colonised half of the world.

that's why WEST is trying to stop Iran since they know might of iran will be right.

Nigerians should learn to face reality: the only thing that can change Nigeria is overwhelming external force.
PoliticsRe: The Uk Barclays Bank Is Turning Ghana Into Africa's Money Laundering Haven by busibodi(f): 12:43pm On May 06, 2009
nigerian politicians have stashed about $107 billion overseaa according to the estimates.

well said. this is the danger of living in the WEST. It gets to you. It eats you up.

Felicia, who is originally from Nigeria and now lives in Kensington, south-west London, said her daughter had left the family home in 2002 and had suffered from depression after losing her job as a childcare assistant.
Africans should only move to WEST when they are atleast 18yrs old. They would have formed 'survival instinct'

Ghana is already gaining notoriety as a drug trafficking route into Europe and the United states
supply always go after demand.

why is Europe keep consuming the drug?

The UK Barclays Bank plans to turn Ghana into Africa's money laundering haven. The establishment of a fully operating tax haven so close to Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Equatorial Guinea could see huge mineral wealth in West Africa vanish into it from poverty-stricken countries' coffers.
if this is true, Ghana needs to use it well for their economy and people.

PoliticsRe: Lagos Gets FG's Nod To Build Airport ? by busibodi(f): 7:58am On May 06, 2009
The airport would be over grown with weeds in about 15 to 20 years time. The airport in Ibadan is a good example, was deemed not viable becos Ibadan is too close to lagos and there are only so so much passengers in Nigeria. Only 5% of the population ever travels by plane. I agree it is a White elephant project.
that is wrong. Ibadan International Airport was killed by politics of FG - NPN.

The metrics of 70s are surely different when you look at future growth and wealth now available.

Airports are built for various capacity, and with cheaper landing, better security and parking fees it can actually compete with the expensive MM airport.

PoliticsRe: Obii Chidiak Habeed Assasinated In The Church Last Sunday by busibodi(f): 4:40pm On May 05, 2009
Their first and foremost focus is the actual gang that pulled the trigger. Not the husband, or the driver like some are pointing.
right and wrong: investigation can start from any end; there is no one-size fit all.

if you get murder weapon, you can trace who imported it into country, which people sells bullet for such weapon and how many people bought or have such weapon, etc

if you had CCTV this would also have helped for man-hunt.

In this case and in Nigeria; such crime do not just happen.

100% started by PEOPLE KNOWN to this woman.

You take them one after the other, check their MOTIVES, what they did, who they talk to for past 6month and you will find your anwser.

Moreoever,  a father or mother travelling alone out-or-into a country with two kids is already suspcious; normally whole family travel together or one parent alone.

A friend was questioned seriously in Canada for coming with two kids.

The controversial elections in Ekiti state ended less than an hour ago in the two remaining wards of Oye local government area. Collation of results are going on in Ado-Ekiti, with the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mrs. Ayoka Adebayo, presiding. Reports all across the two wards shows that less than 3,000 votes were cast in the election. 10,000 policeman stood guard across the two wards in a heavily militarized environment.

On the way to my office this morning, the roads were blocked with vehicles. People has formed 4 lanes on a 2-lane road, blocking oncoming traffic and making the situation extremely chaotic. Why argue that the Government must build more roads and bridges whereas the existing ones are rendered impassable due to the actions of stupid and impatient Nigerians?
there you go.

1. the people copy the govt who regular do this everyday.

2. did govt provide proper process for driver-license and driver training?

3. did govt provide other forms of transport so everybody do not have to drive?

4. are there street address to track a car plate number to owner in case you need to be punished?

see the big picture. these are just affter effect of bad govt.
PoliticsRe: Lagos Gets FG's Nod To Build Airport ? by busibodi(f): 2:17pm On May 05, 2009
That absolutely made my case about the confusion of our rulers. If MM airport handles as little as 3.5-4 million passengers annually, why is anybody with brain building another airport in Lagos, when London Heathrow airport alone, some one was using as an example before handles more than 20 million passengers annually or more.
look at the big picture.

this is planned growth. Lagos is going to be 25mil people in 2015.

It will serve people from EAST and South West.

plus airport are built for various capacities.

I think the Bi-courtney Aviation BOT agreement with the FG is just for the domestic terminal.
even if for international terminal.

BOT does not say that new airport should not be built to cope with planned growth.

CCTV's are not conclusive
yet the London Bus Bombers were tracked afterward. indeed.

Hasib Hussain, an 18-year-old from Leeds, is shown in a CCTV image mounting the stairs at Luton station before taking the 7.40am train to King's Cross. There the four bombers split up and launched their attacks during last Thursday's rush hour. A second photo shows the picture from the teenager's driving licence.

Lagos is 15million people.

It surely deserve another airport when you project the future growth.

What she needs is an autopsy not all the barking down the wrong stumps thats being displayed here.
in nigeria?

Let see what Police comes back with.

She may well have been saved if ordinary Nigerians could have had the courage to perform basic first aid.
common, you surely must be dreaming.

where are they taught in Nigeria how to do first-aid. You dont get it.

Dont touch injured or dying person before you accused of using JUJU.

If govt is serious, let them provide emergency ambulance phone#, people can call. In naija, you are on your own!
PoliticsRe: Obii Chidiak Habeed Assasinated In The Church Last Sunday by busibodi(f): 10:36am On May 05, 2009
The UK has the highest number of CCTV's in the world yet they struggle to nail criminals. Nothing beats eye-witness.
yet same CCTV helped to tracked down the London Bus bombers.

same CCTV allowed people to see Police pushed down and killed the innocent guy during Sri-Lanka Protests in London
PoliticsRe: Obii Chidiak Habeed Assasinated In The Church Last Sunday by busibodi(f): 10:07am On May 05, 2009
The husband is a suspect.

From little we know of the story he has a MOTIVE:

1. check all his phone-calls/text for past 6months

2. check all places he has been for past 6months.

The driver is a suspect.

1. In a shoot-out there is rampage, people panick. So why was he not hiding?

2. His phone/friends/contact for past 6months should be checked.

CCTV camera would have helped in this case, as they were not wearing masks and some stood outside the church.
It would have helped to re-construct the crime scene.
PoliticsRe: Obii Chidiak Habeed Assasinated In The Church Last Sunday by busibodi(f): 9:30am On May 05, 2009
It makes sense to evaluate the crime, crime scene and circumstances surrounding the death BEFORE suspecting anyone. A close relative who is 300 miles away is therefore out of the equation.

By the way, CCTV don't always help solve crime. I can give you countless example if you want.
there you go, when you watch too much CIS.

so because someone is 300miles away they cant be suspecthuh??

In any murder case, close family are SUSPECT.

That does not mean they are convict or criminal. The key to crime is MOTIVE and less of alibi since that can be bought or fake.

Once motive is established, you can build your case ofcourse crime scene would be checked.

Crimed are solved by combination of many tools, CCTV is surely one of them.

this is a welcome news if its true.

so that those on the Island do not have to come to the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, to board an aircraft,” the source said.
Location of the new airport should be based on future growth, clear statistics and not politics.

The objective should be clear: local or international
