Reposted from G.N.A: Today marks obama’s first visit to his father’s home country (Kenya) since taking office in 2009 as the President of the the United States of America, and though he is expected to be met with a warm welcome, it is an irony that the welcome apparently got hotter as he is issued warning from several evangelical pastors in Kenya. There have also been reports of anti-gay protests in the the Kenyan capital (Nairobi) put up by Bishop Kariuki and his allies who walked down the streets of Nairobi chanting “we want Obama, we want Michelle, and we want a child, we don’t want Obama and Obama, we don’t want Michelle and Michelle. We want Obama and Michelle and we want a child”. The demonstration saw Over a hundred people wearing T-shirts with the slogan “Protect The Family” printed on them. They also flaunted placards everywhere stating “We do not want gay activities in Kenya”. In the bishops campaign against homosexuality and building moral values in youths he referenced Genesis 1: 26,27&28, the bible passage where God said we should be fruitful and multiply. He also asked that the faith and morals of his people be respected and that the United state president stick to the reason for his visit and talk solely about the conference and shouldn’t make references or gestures about the homosexual situations as he is a world leader and has the Kenyan youths looking up to him. Besides Bishop Mark Kariuki, another renowned individual who has openly spoken against homosexuality in Kenya is the deputy president William Ruto, who speaking at a church service in Ziwani said that the practice(homosexuality) was against Christianity and should be shunned because Kenya is a God fearing nation with no room for same-sex marriage. Kenya is a country with about 82 percent of the population, Christians and boost a large population of people against the gay right agenda. They are also among a population of over 30 African country where homosexuality is deemed illegal, and homosexuality in Kenya could land an individual a 21 years imprisonment sentence.

Buhari wins major concession in the US after Obama agrees to sell Nigeria Apache helicopters. PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari has secured a major concession from President Barrack Obama during his ongoing visit to Washington after the US agreed to sell Nigeria Apache Attack helicopters to facilitate the fight against Boko Haram. During the tenure of President Goodluck Jonathan, the US rejected repeated requests from the Nigerian government to sell it the helicopters, raising objections to the human rights abuses of the military. It is believed the US was also fearful that the corruption within the Nigerian military made it likely that the helicopters could end up in the hands of Boko Haram as several soldiers were leaking secrets to the terrorists. This lack of equipment, according to the Jonathan administration, was responsible for the slow reaction of the military in the fight against Boko Haram. However, it appears that having got assurances from President Buhari that human rights abuses will be looked at and - corruption will be fought, President Obama has decided to unblock the sale of the helicopters. US law forbids the sale of certain arms to militaries accused of gross human rights abuses. Amnesty International had accused the Nigerian Army's leadership of complicity in the death of about 8,000 detainees in the battle against Boko Haram. Grant Harris of the US National Security Council, said: "We're looking forward to what we can do with a president who has staked out an agenda that we think is the right agenda at the right time." It is believed that the US has agreed to sell eight advanced Apache attack helicopters to Nigeria in a deal worth around $500m. US political analyst Goldman Anthony, said: "Privately, the new security commanders are warning of no quick fixes. They are arguing that Boko Haram infiltration of the army and civilian structures is a major unresolved difficulty." How Apache Helicopters Work The Apache helicopter is a revolutionary development in the history of war. It is essentially a flying TANK -- a HELICOPTER designed to survive heavy attack and inflict massive damage. It can zero in on specific targets, day or night, even in terrible weather. As you might expect, it is a terrifying machine to ground forces. In this article, we'll look at the Apache's amazing flight systems, weapons systems, sensor systems and armor systems. Individually, these components are remarkable pieces of technology. Combined together, they make up an unbelievable fighting machine -- the most lethal helicopter ever created. G.M.B: THIS IS A TRULY "OPEN CONTRACT" The total number of Apache Helicopter 8 Eight and their Total Cost Value $500 Million. For the whole world to see and UNMUSK any WURU-WURU.

I doubt if these group is to unite Nigeria, what do you expect if someone like these is opportune to lead our beloved country??[quote author=HungerBAD post=36174323]The Ohaneze chieftain further opined that if the Igbo nation could survive the civil war, they have enough now to make the South East a viable economic zone. ”It is the only option left to us now. That is to bring our economy home. Over 80 per cent of our wealth is outside Igboland. Other tribes invest more in their areas,” he said. |
