IT IS IDOLATRY TO HAVE A BUILDING CALLED A CHURCH

plaetton: Interestingly,no thiests has ever advanced any real and tangible argument for the existence of the maker and puppet master of the universe. Thiests like Deepsight often harp on the intricate design and grandour of the universe as evidence for the existence of god, while ignoring the many contradictions of what is supposed to be a perfectly designed universe.
It beats my imagination why the designer and manager of the universe is somehow locked out of the peripheral view of our human senses, especially our common sense.

The ancients had strong beliefs in god simply because they did not understand much about their environment and the universe in general. But today we understand so much about our enviroment, and a lot about our universe.
The sad irony is that primitive societies or societies where the primitive mindset is still predominant are the ones with a stronger attachment to the belief in god.

Nigeria is a country where one can almost proclaim, with certainty , the none existence of god.
Just look at the level of godism in the country. If it was an exportable cash crop, we would be very very wealthy.
Every aspect of life in Nigeria clearly shows that god simlpy cannot exist.
The crime, the corruption, the social dislocations, the rapid descent of man back into the animal kingdom.

When I look at these things, the nagging question in mind is always, "where is god "?

well you are right in both instances because the new earth will be heaven. the new earth is still this same earth but it will be regenerated.

Delafruita: when i say fulfilment of prophecy,i meant fulfilment of Bible prophecy.the Bible prophesies that the end of the world willl not come till the children of isreal are back to their land and the temple is rebuilt.christians see this as a sign of the return of Jesus hence the vehemence with which they defend the state of isreal even when it does glaring wrongs.christians feel a connection with the state of isreal because of the spiritual significance it holds for them.i didnt mean to say they look up to them spiritually or morally.i meant they looked up to them as descendants of the isrealites they read about everyday in their bible,they look up to them as "God's own people",they look up to them as the "elect".

well they are looking up to the wrong people if that is true plus scripture says the children of israel will not be in the land until after christ returns and then christ will put them in the land again, meaning those who are there right now are not the real deal because christ has not returned.
