did Christianity support slavery ? not the type of slavery you are accustomed to seeing after the world was handed to the wicked ( job 9 vs 24 ). slavery is how the lord deals with haughty and wayward children. the purpose of the slavery is to eradicate your haughtiness and pride by having you been subjected to anothers authority. however the heathens ( who got into the earth after the flood ) created a more diabolic form of slavery, especially the edomites, they introduced chattel slavery and lynching and violence into it, for which they have a recompense coming to them. the laws of the lord is that after 7 years of putting the person to work to eradicate their haughtiness, then you should release them. after 7 years if you dont release them, then you are sinning. so slavery as instituted for punishment is non-violent and you should release after 7 years. exodus 21 vs 2 If you buy a Hebrew servant, he is to serve you for six years. But in the seventh year, he shall go free, without paying anything.

heck the roman empire just put bin ladin, sadam and ghaddafi to death and toppled bin gbagbo in africa and arrested and threw charles taylor in jail and arrested and threw a few of our corrupt politicians in their jails. and started wars with iraq and libya and anyone they damn well please.
