I've used a few of his L16. The only perceptible difference is probably in the weight. Indeed, USA Battery has an array of L16 types and the one c0ogumo has in stock is 360Ah rather than the 375Ah Trojan markets; probably the source of the weight discrepancy. Reviews are very good however.
USB vs Trojan Specs

thanks for the help. in short the 3 panels in series will give 72 v, I understand that, but the remaining 9 panels do I parallel them all. pls bear I am no engineer guru, can explain a bit on (3×4 configuration). thanks.
@monknaija

3 x 4 Configuration

1st step, you need to connect 3 panels in in series i.e connect the +ve of the first panel to the -ve of the second panel and then connect the +ive of the second panel to the -ve of the third panel.
2nd step, repeat the first step for panel 4, 5 and 6.
3rd step, repeat the first step for panel 7,8 and 9.
4th step, repeat the first step for panel 10, 11 and 14.
Now you have 4 strings connected in series.
5th step, connect all the -ve in each sting together and then connect all the +ve in each string together. You now have just 2 cables one +ve cable and one -ve cable going into the PV terminals of your MPPT charge controller.

Please see the attached diagram and let me know if you have questions.

you guys are great . have been silently learning from the gurus in house. now I have finally plunged in. house I have 12 poly panels 24v 280watts each, a episolar charge controller mmppt 60amps, my system is 48v 200ah. my question what is the best solar panel arrangement to maximise or give the best out of my panels. pls appreciate assistance want to get this aspect correct b4 moving forward....
Since you have an MPPT CC, you should arrange your panels in a 3 x 4 configuration
i.e 3 panels in series and 4 panels in parallel.
If the distance from you panels to your charge controller is far, then you may consider a 4 x 3 configuration.
Let us know the outcome this setup.

this man you be wizard the values you stated are similar to my setup . the battery on nepa gets to 13.8v, but after some hrs without nepa drops to 13v. exactly as you stated. when i load on it drops to 12.6v. overnight usage till morning reads 12.2 v. thanks I was worried about the incomplete soc. but its time to upgrade to solar house. pls help 12v 500ah battery bank, what panel size do i need to charge this batteries adequately since a 60 amps charge controller will be used.
You need about 6 x 150W panels and a 80A charge controller.

Please answer the following questions;

Why cant your inverter fully charge your bank?
What is the brand of your inverter and what is the charging current?
Why is your inverter bringing the bank to 97%? why not 100%
Are you looking for solar to fill the remaining 3%? or to charge from 50% DoD to full?

Order #3-5

User Experience:

After buying some limited sample inverters from this seller in
2013, we decided to start full commercial orders in 2014.
We ordered 2 different products with total cost of about USD
10,000.
In the process of selling the first batch or the commercial order
we started receiving complaints of malfunctions and faults from
customers. We even found a unit of one of the 2 products did
not work at all right at the time of installation despite having no
sign of physical damage or ingress of any liquid or fluid.
Soon, we realized we were faced with a high failure rate of 10%
which reached a peak of about 15% by the time all the units had
been sold for each of the 2 products.
We complained to Tina Yuan who was our sales contact using
email (musta@mustups.com) and by phone (+86 13420968535,
+86 189 4872 0962) and by whatsapp at different times but
despite her promises nothing was done to address the problem.
Several emails were sent to Tina and to the sales team mailing
list and most of the emails were not replied.
At a point Tina admitted they have received similar complaints
from other resellers about the failures of the control board in one
of the products which usually resulted in this particular product
not accepting mains/utility power for battery charging or bypass
operation. She indicated she will arrange for replacement boards
to be shipped to us but failed to do so.
The last complaint was made to Tina during the last 2015
Intersolar event and she asked me to send complaint again by
whatsapp which I followed up with an email but she did not
reply to any of these.
I informed her I will use all means to report to relevant agencies
or authorities about this dumping of poor quality products
without necessary support by MUST and the effect this will have
on their brand image but still there was no response.
Every attempt to contact the senior or executive management of
Must Power was also not successful which seems to be
deliberate to shield the company from taking responsibilities.

User Recommendations:

I learned that you must not be deceived by Chinese companies
that pose as manufacturers but lack real technical support for
their products. They may have good website and even showcase
products at global industry events.
I learned that Must Power does not seem to have any strong
technical team as we were never handed over to a technical
team to resolve the problems.
I advise other buyers to beware of this seller as they do not
support their products. They are interested only in selling and
collecting payments.
This seller appears to be trading company that does some basic
assembly of generic components with little value addition other
than packaging.
If you must deal with this company make sure you have a strong
legally binding contract to protect you from potenutial losses due
to product failures. Ensure you secure a 3 years warranty for the
products at the minimum.
Ensure you have information and necessary contacts of their E-
level personnel.

The first series of MUST inverters were not that solid but they have improved over time. Just like richmon74 said about PRAG.

About the story, it is difficult to judge cos we only hear on side of the story. I have been buying from must and never had problems with them. If you are looking for an inverter that will Equalize your flooded battery bank, MUST will do the Job without you breaking the bank.

MUST is still better than few inverters out there like Luminous, Bluegate etc. I am sure few people on this thread are using MUST and have also installed few without issues. Not everyone can afford Magnum, Xantrex and SMA inverters which cost between N460K to N1M plus.

If anyone is having any issues with their MUST inverter, please contact me. I have few control boards for different models and range from 2KW to 6KW. I was at MUST factory early this year and I must say they have improved their game especially on their IR series. I stock MUST inverters and will give you all the support you need should the need arise.

Mind you, MUST inverter is for people who wants to try renewable energy before investing lots of money. Many people still don’t believe solar and inverter can power their home.

If anyone have questions, please reach out to me.

An installer I met earlier this year bragged about an installation he did for a customer in the east. He connected 7 batteries for a customer's 24 volt inverter. It has been working for over 6 months and the customer is happy.
He wanted to do installaltions for me.
Chris, Is that a typo on your end or did he actually installed 7 batteries because the number "7" is an odd number. Do you mean 8 batteries? Or 6 batteries

@kiekie,

@House,

Appreciate your responses and contributions to this question. God bless you all.

I had changed all the cables a month ago, to a new set of 50mm cables, all same size, shorter, about 25cm long. (See attached picture).

I had considered replacing the Inverter with another 3- or 4-stage kind of Inverter with 50A-60A charging current, but what would be done to the Indian Inverter?

So, an option that can be conveniently presented to my Pastor is that of adding an external charger (4-stage preferably).

What brand of this charger is readily available and functional?

Thank you.
Your best option is to replace the Inverter with a better one.
The cost of adding a smart charger is almost the cost of another inverter

sad news...my morning star 45amp CC has died....my folks in the village hv been complaining that the inverter barely lasts 10mins for a couple of days now...was finally able to go check it, thinking twas the heavy rains or something...but alas in bright sunlight the CC was displaying 0amp,i checked the log and this zero harvest started 10days ago....they reported no ligtening strike...so am rally at loss what might hv damaged it......has anyone experienced this b4?...and any luck in repairing it?
the unit is about 21 months old. 4 x 250w 24v renogy panels connected in series. input voltage usually hovers around 130v.
system is hooked up to 2 x 200amphr luminous batts, and 1.5kva 24v luminous inverter....

any suggestions would be welcome, attached is a pic of the unit
The Voc of Renogy is 37.5V x 4pcs =150Vdc
Maybe the the panels produced more power than what the CC can handle over a long period
Try to use 2 x 2 configuration next time since you have a 24V system.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by c0ogumo(m):
Pharyn:
This is the image of the installation.
1.) You need a good inverter with 40A-60A charging current and capable of equalizing the Trojan batteries.
2.) The cables are very thin, you need thicker cables.

Please visit our website www.solardepotng.com for various inverter options.

How possible?

20A CC doing 21ampshuh?

I will like to learn please
Like I said b4, a 20A CC should be able to output up to 22A provided you have enough power coming from your panels. Mind you, this is not a continous current. A 20A CC is rated for 20A continous current.

Let me know if you have questions.

Friends...a word of caution. 3 phase power supply in Nigeria is 380 to 415Vac but in North America it is 230Vac.

The equipment to be powered should be carefully examined and the right voltage applied to avert damages.
Yes you are correct, the 3 phase inverter system would produce 230Vac per phase and 400Vac from phase to phase.
