Thanks for responding. Is more cool and interesting when you state your location in FCT. For example. I represent Garki or Wuse FCT. Give it some swagg with the representing.
Nairaland GeneralIf You Are A Proud Nairalander, Please Represent Your Location. by cacius(op):
I'm in bed and getting ready to sleep after a busy Monday and this thought crossed my mind after being on NL for an hour so. I think it will be nice to know where my fellow Nairalanders are in the world and it will be cool if we represent our locations by simply typing something like this: I represent Ikeja Lagos or representing Abuja or even moscow. It will give us an idea of how wide and close Nairalanders are globally. Let's get it started and the Mods might just take it to the front page. I represent Ikeja Lasgidi Lagos. Eko ni baje o. Yeah let's keep it coming folks!!

DJDOLA: Well am a muslim and I swear wit my life that d quran I read and understand d word in it does not support killing non-muslim I swear...people just kill in d name of what I don't understand....and for u guys dat said islam does not preach love HABA islam do preach love....if islam does not preach love people will not convert 2 d religion dat preach hate na
If the quran is not against killing non muslims so where did these muslim terrorist gets the idea of killing christians? Let's take a good look at it from Nigeria to the middle east etc. I don't like commenting on such thread that has to do with religion but my advice to fellow christians especially in Nigeria is not to trust any muslim no matter how good and kind they look outwardly because of their fetish and religious bigo.try. When you are offered food or drink by a supposedly good muslim please do not eat or drink because your destiny or glory might just be tempered with. They worship objects in the heavenlies moon, stars, sun etc. This is an advice to the christians out there and please mods don't delete this post because is a true story. That's my 2cents.

westcodes: I'm not 100% sure about the peculiarity of your case, where did you seek advice and you were told you can travel with your receipt? To my best knowledge, you are supposed to wait till you get your permit before you can leave the country. As regards the police clearance, you can get it from Nigeria, the stress will be double but it's doable. (Speaking from experience)

Hopefully you have friends in SA that can help you, here is what you have to do. Go to Alagbon and have your fingerprints taken, make sure you explain to them extensively that you plan to send the fingerprints to SA to obtain police clearance. When that is done, go the website of the south african foreign affairs and diwnload the police clearance application form. Fill the form and write a cover letter and send the everything to your friend in SA along with R100. Police clearance cost R59 to be paid in a bank draft so that rest of the money should cover the bank draft. If your friend lives in PTA, he can submit in your behalf (the office to submit is at schoeman in PTA, google can help with that) it takes about 28 days for the certificate to be issued. Your friend can pick it up and send it to you. I'm sending this from my phone so it might not be as concise but that's the blueprint. Best of lucks
. Thank you so much for the information. I will do that as soon as possible. Not paying an over stay fine will that be counted as a crime? I do not want to have any kind of record on my police clearance. Plz does anyone knows if non payment as overstay can be considered as a crime?

STENACO: My brother you can not get a SA police clearance from Nigeria. I can not work there is not need of waisting your time. Apply for another VISA at the embassy and pay for overstay before doing that. Good luck
. Hello STENACO, thanks for taking your time to reply to my message. The whole thing is confusing to me cos I don't know what level to apply cos I have a permit at home affairs under processing and I have d original receipt for that permit with me so why can't I book an appointment with the embassy and explain my situation to them if they will understand. I have not been in the country for some time and I don't have the necessary documents like updated bank statement and all those stuff that makes u qualify to apply for a visa. What even if I applied it was denied. What am saying here is that I have my permit with home affairs under processing can't I have an appointment and explain this to the consular and show them my receipt and they can confirm with home affairs since everything is in their system. Please kindly let me know what you think about this. Regards Cacius.

Good Day Visa Officer, I have been following this thread and I want to say thank you for answering questions from applicants and intending applicants. I want to know what are the specific financial documents that are required from a USC petitioner for a K1 visa. Does she needs a statement of her bank accounts? Secondly I will like to know how much her annual earnings will be to cater for 3 people including herself. Thirdly how long does it take to get an interview date in Lagos after the embassy must have received the packet from NVC. Looking forward to your response.

eddiebruk: I am 100% sure he wont be able to get back to SA with his receipts, they have stopped allowing that, it will be a wasted effort, another Visa application would be better but then you will still have to pay for your Over stay.
. Thank you Eddie and STENACO. I was hoping I can get done via the embassy here to avoid spending money but it seems that won't be happening now. I will have to get a new visa too. Does anybody have the phone contact or email of the embassies so that I can talk with them and see if I maybe lucky to get the police clearance still? Just want to be sure. Thanks.

thosinemike: pls house, i need some information about studying in SA, which is better btw UCT and uni kwazulu-natal in terms of cost of study and living for undergraduate international student and must i travel to SA for SAQA evaluation or can i do it here in Naija
. I have been to KZN and lived in Capetown for a couple of years. If you want a more quality education I will suggest you choose UCT. Even most international student come from Europe to study there and the environment is very conducive. Capetown is less xenophobic cos the majority of people living here are whites coloureds and foreigners so you hardly get the normal black on black hate you get in other province. UCT is rated as one of the best in Africa. When u are moving to a place like SA think about safety first and the most safe haven for foreigners in that country is Capetown so I will suggest you choose UCT. Just my 2 cent advice.

Hello my learned friends, Justwise, Collinsfbi Stenanco and the rest of you guys helping people on this thread. May your days be long. I will like to know if its possible to get SA police clearance or certificate as the case maybe at their Embassy in Nigeria. I was in SA for 3yrs but had to come back home in March this year cos of an emergency and I had already submitted my permit with home affairs to be renewed and I was adviced that I can go home with the receipt from home affairs and come back with it too. So when I was leaving the country a black guy at the counter who definitely do not like Nigerians told me I have over stayed even with the evidence that my application is pending at home affairs so he wrote me a slip to pay the fine of R3000 in their embassy in Nigeria. I was so angry that day that I just could not understand why the black on black hate. I spent so much money their country doing certificate courses to be a certified Safety officer and this is how I was treated. Am having an interview with an embassy here in Lagos and they are asking me to get police clearance in any country I have lived in the past six months. I want to know if I can get it through SA embassy here or I have to go back to SA to get it in person. It will save me much money if I don't have to go there in person. Plz any useful information will be appreciated. Thanks all.

PrettySpicey: Actually something beautiful seeing the old ladies do their thing. They might all look old, but they really are beautiful and happy too.
. Well spoken. Society tends to neglect the age in the society most times. For those of you calling these beautiful grandmas names wait till you get to their ages when your children has left home and nobody to talk with or when you are dump at d old people's home and only get occasional visits that is when you know what it is to be old and lonesome.

TravelRe: Nigerian Deportee Demands Pay For Kenyan Officials’ Release by cacius: 11:29am On Jun 19, 2013
This is what I have been expecting to hear. At least Nigeria government nor let Kenya mess with us. The only people allowed to mess with this country are the citizens of the country not fellow African countries. The deportation was unlawful and unacceptable. That is not how to deport people. They just want to ridicule Nigeria they should have asked South Africa what happened last time they tried that sh.t. Where are all the Kenyans on this forum making jest of Nigeria. Kenya must learn to treat foreigners like humans not like animals. Nigerians are known for their quick money scheme all over the world not that I am in support of that but instead of treating them like animals why don't they treat hem according to the law that applies to people living in the country. If you find them guilty let the law takes its course not but not by forceful removal.

Hi Guys. A south african friend of mine own a company in SA and he intends to employ me there. If he send me a letter of employment what will the embassy ask from me prior to applying? What other documents will he send in addition to the letter of employment. I will be waiting to hear from the great minds here.
