Listen to the dialogues and you will know who is in charge and holding the forte for Leoindas even the Senators affirmed her regency.


And is it not ironic that a logical being will argue that she wasn't passed the baton of leadership and still turn around to complain about her leading Spartan troops into battle, do you see the contradictions?

Where did the mandate to lead troops stem from?

I met this girl back in 2019 before the pandemic in what started as a beautiful relationship. Historically, Queen Artemisia personally commandeered the five ships she gave Xerses for the invasion of Greece (feel free to check your history sources)


Leoindas wife gained command of the Army because her husband explicitly put her in charge pending his arrival and when he didn't make it back, the senate started playing politics about joining the United Alliance against the invasion, she even gave in to the sexual advances of the top political Spartan figure to make Spartan Army avenge her husband and not make his sacrifice be in vain, but as you claimed to have seen the movie, you know what happened (betrayal and ridicule and stuff) next and that gave her absolute control of the Army.

The Spartan Army did not have time to get their shiit in order and they went with the preexisting hierarchical structure on ground with their Queen in command.

For starters, there was a queen who allied with Xerses to attack Greece and her name was Artemisia which was rightly portrayed in the movie. So that part of the movie is based on facts... A woman actually commandeered her forces into battle against Greece.

Secondly, the elite force of Sparta was wiped out defending the pass, Leoindas wife was the Queen, who else was supposed to lead them into battle in a united alliance front led by Themistocles against Persia.. Ancient Greeks are Liberal.


Thirdly, Rise of an empire was majorly about Themistocles, Spartan army only came in as reinforcement.
