donpata: Crypto is risky but if you trade smartly, and are disciplined, you will be fine. Most times, losses are incurred out of greed and lack of strategy. My current strategy is to trade with what I call, "hit and run". In this strategy, u get to trade just 4 to 5 times a month with a target of 8-15% per trade. With huge capital, say 3m to 10m. You won't need to "kill" yourself working in Canada. A capital of N10m will give u N2m in just two 10% trades and that's like CAD3,500 a month. That's enough for a month if you like. U can hardly get that working as a student. That's my current strategy (though my capital is not so huge) and it works 95% of the times. I trade only on Binance and I pursue a mix of low cap coins and mid level ones especially at weekends when market is likely"down". My challenge is I keep eating into the capital so it's not easy. I am planning my way to Canada and I know I won't eat up my POF just like that. E go work for me. Ditto @ABOKI01 Hi donpata, Talking about your crypto strategy got me interested, I dont know if you are willing to share more with me and maybe teach me a few things. Asides that, your strategy seems like its more on the swing trading side plus you only talk of TP, what percentage of SL do you trade with? |

Aboki01: Good evening, Please we need help. Though this is something we should have done since we started nurturing the idea of travelling to Canada. But we admit we made such a mistake of not preparing ourselves well and bracing up for whatever life has in store for us in Canada. My wife applied for study permit and I applied for SOWP. And to the glory of God we have our passports stamped already. But reality is beginning to dawn on me as the head of the family. This are our challenges. As a family man I have no skills. The only skill I think I have is car driving. Because I enjoy driving a lot. My wife too has no skills or any form of handiwork. So we're both confused on the right direction to go on this japa matters. Part of the challenges I have is , I'm Hypertensive at a very young age of 35yrs. So I might be limited to choice of jobs. Though we've paid full tuition for her 1yr program. So we don't have much pressure on the tuition fees. Since her program is just 8months program. We'll appreciate ideas and advice on how to scale through life in Canada. Go the tech route, learn something that is really easy to get involved in and short like 6 weeks or so. That should help |

ExcellenceAb: I got mine approved, even with bulk finances. They IRCC don't frown at lump sums (bulk finances), they frown at the inability of the applicant to explain how such funds got there.
I explained everything, detail by detail. As for your parent being your sponsor, you have to prove that he is your parent. And this can be done using your birth certificate (tell them that you have attached your birth certificate as evidence). Shalom Thanks for the reply. I really appreciate Can you tell me better about how you explained everything?. CAC docs for all the business (about 4 businesses or so) is attached, MEMART is also attached, birth certificate is attached, NIN is attached. |

otunbadan: if you sponsor is not your father or mother, a deed of gift that he will sign in person and court stamp is necessary You have to submit documents that show that your sponsor has the ability to pay, loudest way to do this is his own 12 months mybank statement (I said 12 even though it looks excessive but to show a business is profitable, 12 months is the mark) , together with your own showing that he has gifted you the money and its not a loan.
Also, your sponsor need to write a short personalized letter of sponsorship, stating that he has given you the 24m and that is not a gift, and that he will be responsible for providing you with more money as when required, he will state what specifically he is funding for you (rent, books, tution, feeding etc ) , he can also promise in the same letter that he will be responsible for making sure that you leave Canada after your study.
present yourself as a man with family, family that loves him oooo, put fam pics .... talk about fam in in SOP and don't forget to mention in your SOP that you will leave Canada (this part you go talk am continuously for the SOP ... tell them I WILL LEAVE CANADA) Thanks for the reply. My sponsor is my father and I have done all you mentioned above ofcourse without the gift deed Letter of sponsorship with his NBA seal because na lawyer stating he has sent the money to me for Tuition and living expenses and will continue to support. I also shower my home ties. Pictures of the family at various event, even used the family company as home time, I have my name in the memart. Unfortunately I only attached my sponsor's 6 months bank statement not 12 with considerable inflow and outflow. I also heard business account is a no no so in this instance I used his personal bank statement But where my issue stands is with the documentation for the funds. Is it enough? |

amila20042001: To the best of my knowledge, IRCC frowns at bulk deposits unless they are explicitly explained. What is the relationship between you and your sponsor? Was it well defined in your application?
Cheers Hi, thanks for your reply My sponsor is my dad. I explicitly stated that in my SOP AND LOE. As regards explanation, i stated it was funds solely set aside for my studies. I also said its funds accumulated over the period the various business has been in existence |

amila20042001: He can show his statement of account, better if it's a corporate account, then invoices and receipts issued to customers and the ones he got from suppliers. He should also request for reference letter from the bank stating that the he owns the corporate account. A picture of him in the business area is also ideal to be added. I think you should be fine.
Cheers I'm also at this cross road even though I have submitted now but just worried about my chances My sponsor deposited 24m in my account in two batches 16m and 8m after thr exchange rate went up but I'm now worried the documents I submitted might be insufficient My sponsor is a Lawyer Restaurant owner Car and truck dealer Petroleum dealer too ( 3 filling stations) I added all thr CAC documents, deed of Assignment, letter of lease to Bovas and pictures of business area but I couldn't get any invoices or receipts as no one issues receipts to people buying food or petrol. Incase of a refusal, God forbid what do you think I can do better next time |
