.... .. I had a pressing need on the 10th of May..... Nobody was willing to borrow me 12k because it was a matter of ufe and death...... So I turned to soko loan.... They offered me 14k with a duration of 14days...... To pay back 20k.......i collected it with the hope of paying back by the due date..... On the 24th of May, their agent called and I begged him to give me till month end by which time I would have received my pay.... He refused.... He called and messaged all my contacts including my boss in the USA, saying I'm a criminal and ran away with their company money..... This same message was sent to my other contacts which included my in laws...... As a result of that message, my boss sacked me for supposedly using his name as a guarantor to a loan without his knowledge..... As if that was not enough, I was chased away from the company apartment..... While Still trying to stand, my baby's mum, her father came and took his daughter away along with my Baby saying since I wasn't legally married to his daughter yet, he can't make the mistake of allowing her to marry someone labeled a criminal all over the world.... Since then till now I haven't set eyes on my daughter...... I have lost a job that pays well because of a loan of 14k......with this your explanation, is their actions justified? Yes or no?

These Loan Apps belong to the same group of malicious Chinese Nationals, who, with some of their Nigerian accomplice(with above phone numbers) leverage on the FinTech Space in Nigeria to perpetuate the following evils:

1. They scan through your contact lists to identify Important Persons by the names you saved, gather the data, and sell to Kidnappers and Bandits.
2. They monitor your phone locations, travel calendar, conversations, SMS, WhatsApp chats, and emails for vital information they could sell to Kidnappers, bandits, and terrorists.
3. Families and Friends of Nigerian Troops battling insurgency should please uninstall these Apps because we believe they monitor your conversations and provide information on the location and movements of Troops to insurgents. One of the reasons why Soldiers & Aid Workers are frequently ambushed by Terrorists and Bandits.
4. They bug your devices/phones with “Keyloggers” to collect your Mobile or Online- Banking Passwords, Pins, and ATM Card details which they sell to YAHOO BOYs, and they also use it for unauthorized withdrawals from your bank accounts. The reason for the rising complaints on untraceable transactions in the banks these days. Nigerian Banks lose over N1.7Bn daily to these Criminals.
5. They launch “Man-in-the-Middle” Attacks on targeted Online transactions between your banks and Telcos to intercept SMS Alerts. The reason why affected Bank Customers, don’t receive SMS ALERTS for fraudulent withdrawals/transfers from their Accounts.

The thing about people complaining about these loan apps is that many of them are the same people who will boast about the ways they cheat the same loan apps.

At the end of the day, there is a method to taking loans from the apps. Take loans and make sure you read the T and C...and if you cannot pay back as at when due...don't take the loan.
