So once you choose that you have a sponsor then for means of finances to support your stay select other and in the please specify box enter the means of proof of funds your sponsor provided to u so in that please specify box you will type in either payslips and employment letter OR certificate of credit card limit . Which ever one your sponsor provided to u .

Bro, I'm using option 2. Please I want to ask the following questions so as to fill the online application form correctly
1. For this item 33 - cost of travelling and living during the applicant's stay is coreved (see attached screenshot below), I chose "by a sponsor" and I'm asked to "please specify". I chose the option "other". Is it the name of my sponsor that I should write in the space provided?

2. Once I chose the option of "by a sponsor", I can no longer choose "credit card". What option should I choose there (as in how should I fill that part?
Please help a brother urgently. Any other person seeing this can also help out. Thank you.

Question: What if I am self sponsored, How can I show proof of funds ?

Answer: In my analysis, you have 3 options to show proof of funds for self sponsorship.

1. If you the applicant are a salary earner and want to self sponsor, you need to present to the embassy the following:
a) 3 most recent payslips (550k Net a month or more)
b) Confirmation letter of employment
c) Letter approving a paid leave of absence for study from your employer.
d) proof that your job will still be available upon your return to Nigeria and proof that you will continue to earn a salary while you are away for studies (these can be addressed in c )

OR

2. Open a cash backed credit card account in your name, fund it with a minimum of 5m or more. Request a certificate of credit card limit. In addition to that , Get a sponsor to write, sign and notarize a letter of sponsorship stating that they funded your credit card with the requirement amount maybe as a gift or something to that nature. (In this case u are still attaching yourself to a sponsor somehow)

OR

3. You can also do option 1 and also fund a credit card account in your name and request the certificate of credit card limit in your name.

Please note: I DO NOT recommend self sponsorship (read my previous posts I have already explained why I do not recommend it in one of my posts) but if you must do self sponsorship then I will recommend option 2.

I'm using credit card and that option won't be available if I click that I'm sponsored......am I supposed to click sponsored and be explaining that a credit card was made for me or what

Life itself is risk. They're the ones who put self sponsorship as an option and that's what is super convenient for me.
If polish people no give Visa, we muuueeeev (no be do or die).

I won't advice you to apply as self sponsor because it's a long shot; Go and look for a sponsor. That's the easiest route.

Self Sponsor is a big gamble right now. This new Consular get choco for head.

what about those that are self sponsor?

You don't need to prove home ties as a student. Your sponsor alone is enough to fill in that gap.

Those going for work visa are the ones that need to seriously find a way to prove home ties as there have been massive denial (No 9) for not proving home ties

please how do one go about flight reservation?
and what's the best way to prove home's tie for a student who's self sponsoring?

@justwise. The problem is that many people are not patient and persistent. Some are not willing to put in the work. They expect others to do so on their behalf. Even something as basic as to search for schools some people will be asking for help. Come on. Guys if you need legalization date do it yourself. Sacrifice your time and stay put on that ekonsul website keep refreshing from 8am to 12 noon nigerian time on Fridays and you will get a date. If you ask for help from someone else they will definitely want to charge you. You are asking them to spend time to do something for you that you can do yourself. So just do it yourself. It takes patience and persistence. Yes you may have to try a couple of times every week. But remember Nothing good comes easy. I can't say this enough. This goes the same for the visa process. Ask questions here if you do not understand. Do not go asking people for help with visa process and legalization outside of this platform and not expect them not to charge you for something that if you read through these threads and ask the right questions you can do it yourself. Do your own research, read through the thread and ask questions here in the forum that you do not understand. If you consult any one privately out of this forum for help with visa process or legalization date you can expect that they will ask for a charge. SO please guys do the needful to put in the work yourself, if you need results.
