Why are Nigerians so cheap?! 10,000 Naira is less than 50 dollars per month. do you know that if DSTV were pay as you go, many decoders would be on only on Match days, Big Brother eviction saturdays, Naija sings and Idols eviction days and such. Which means some decoders would be on for only 3months in an entire year!! Do you think that the channels DSTV brings you are free to air?! Nigerians know how to suggest to others how to run their businesses and even try to bring in the government to strong arm these business owners into doing as they please. Have any of you cheap bastrads thought about how much it costs DSTV to operate in Nigeria?!! Do you know how much they pay in Taxes, T.V rights to N.C.C and co., Diesel for running their generators, insurances and salaries?! [/b]Abeg drex go far! If your money no reach DSTV, go buy strong!! Ediiioooooottttt,what a write-up coming from a Nigerian. If DSTV is spending so much on the bolded, they would have packed their loads and go. This was how their MTN counterpart defrauded Nigerians on no-per second billing until GLO came onboard. Must i pay for what i didn't use? Its fraudulent as far as i'm concerned and should not be encouraged. Why didn't the GSM providers depletes our credits in our handsets even when not in use. Note to worry about that. Mine has been on since i bought it. i was initially worried but i made some inquiries but was told it has to do with the sensors of the traction control system attached to the braking system. You ll have to worry abt TCS if you are in a country which experiences winter bt for nigeria you dont have to worry yourself. My brakes works perfectly well and i'm enjoying my ride. Just ignore it. Other experts here may make some contributions

My 2004 EOD V6 seems to be consuming fuel abnormally as i use like 4.6km/l, at a point a check engine light came on. After the
CEL came on i then went for scanning about four weeks ago and was told i have a problem with my catalytic converter. I was not bothered on writing down the code. The CEL was erased and yet to come up til date. I want to do another scan now to ascertain the real culprit of fuel thirtiness of the car and fix it once and for. The guy that did the previous scan is out of town and not coming until january ending which i cannot wait. Is there anyone who knows where i can do the OBD II scan in Abuja at a reasonable price? Your kind responses and advice will be highly appreciated.

i feel periodic stiffness on the acceleration pedal (throttle) especially taking off from slow speed during hold up. Does this also affect fuel economy

As for servicing your injectors, there's no such thing, at least not in the Nigerian sense. If they're tired - poor spray pattern, leaking seals, cracked pintle cap etc, then they're disassembled by a fuel injector specialist, fitted with new seals, metering needles and pintle caps. They're then ultrasonically cleaned.

Of course, the injectors have to be tested for flow and spray pattern. If they're worn, it may be cheaper to replace them with new ones.

I ll be travelling with the car tomorrow and may not have time for another scan until when i'm back next week. I know i'm going to drain my cash on fuel bt hope the continue usage with this condition ll not affect the performace of the car. Come to think of it, i sometimes felt pressurizing the acceleration pedal which i sense also drain fuel. SIENNA, what do u think.

^^^ One word of advice - never erase a fault, without first writing down the code, and its definition.

As for your higher than normal fuel consumption, I'd say the fault is still there - a faulty oxygen sensor. Get your car scanned again, and post the results here.

Thanks Sienna for the response. I observed the abnornal fuel consumption some weeks back (abt 6km/litre or less). I was thinking of servicing the fuel injector before the check engine sign came up today for the first time. I mmediately went form the scan and was told the culprit of the check engine sign ON is as a result of catalytic converter fault. The mechanic then cleared the fault and it has not shown up til i got home. What do i do, plllsssssssss.

Pls nairalanders, i need some help. I observed that the check engine sign came up on my Honda Accord 2004 V6. I took it for OBD scanning and the mechanic told me that the error code is for catalytic converter fault. He however removed the fault through his equipment and assure me that it ll never come up again or i should come back if it does. Should i just relax and be expecting the light to come up again? Also, i observed to be burning more fuel of late. The experts in the house, pls respond.

Could be a number of things, fix might be easy or expensive.

But you'll have to check again and confirm which light/warning is on,
Look at pic for reference.
Engine/Brake/TCS

Brakes will casuse TCS to come on, and brakes could be switch or master cylinder.

Now if you have the engine light on too you will need to get it scanned with scanner for ABS

its the TCS warning light, so the brakes should be checked?

I jst observed 2days back of a caution sign and also TCS sign on my dash board. I have been driving it with these signs bt not really confortable seeing those signs. I drive an EOD V6. Pls is anyone wiho has experience these signs should educate me what is responsible and how it can be clear. Waiting for response, pllsss

You are too wicked trying to convince your victims to part some money to you in providing details on SSS recruitment.
