I don't get what people mean by they are bleaching.
I just noticed these daydays that it is a sin to be light skinned. Every light skinned girl now is bleached. This dumb mentality is really crazy.

Is this the new trend by black people? They pull others down just to feel cool about their black colour? Pathetic!!!

If you are black and ugly,it is not anyone's fault so deal with your complex.

That you don't get doesn't mean it is crazy maybe you are blind, lol @ you trying to take shots at dark-skinned people, since when did light skinned become non black? Cure your inferiority complex first

My father is a father that had enough sense to raise a child who can check his facts before making a statement.

Not like your father!

Like the typical animal that you are , you jumped on a comment without properly processing, probably you inherited such brain deficiency from your inbred father. What i said? I said Zimbabwean are not protesting in front of foreign embassies and UN the way Nigerian are, which means it was a comparative statements, I have never said they were no Zimbabwean protesting. Now compare them to the daily protests organized by Nigerians and biafrans and tell us where adeo whatever should place her priorities? On her failed state or on an illegally sanctioned country? Your guess is good as mine .

You need to read up on what actually led to the Iraq war. Okay? undecided

Blame Saddam Hussein for what befell Iraq.

He misled the entire international community into believing he was stockpiling weapons of mass destruction and he refused to allow globally accredited weapons inspectors to come into Iraq to verify/authenticate his claims.

That is the reason why Bush and Blair will continue to walk free.

You do not "joke" by claiming to hoard WMD just to claim political relevance/world supremacy and expect not to face dire consequences. undecided

That said, what has the Iraq war got to do with drug charges hanging on Kashamu's head? So countries like Switzerland that's planning on extraditing corrupt FIFA officials to the US on "mere" corruption and money laundering allegations shouldn't do so too because Blair and Bush are walking free
Half knowledge is worse than ignorance , so what did Collin Powell present to UN officials at the U.N quarters ?

Get educated and stop embarrassing yourself, whether Sadam was boasting of having WMD or not, the onus was on the USA and bush led banditry to prove it as they are the ones who accused him of stockpiling it and based their invasion on such claims

Then mugabe will be the first african dictator killed on foreign soil.
Only in your wet dreams.
You know whats funny, i see nigerians calling Mugabe a dictator, but im yet to see any Zimbabwean protesting in front of foreign embassies and the UN the way Nigerians with their so called democratic leaders are doing? Do you mind telling us how your looters rotation improved your life? Is it not funny that there are thousands of Nigerians living in Zimbabwe the so called ruled by a dictator , what are they doing there? They should go and embrace their democracy back home, or you guys enjoy crying more than the bereaved despite suffering but smiling in your land? Nigerian is a democracy yet there are hundred of thousands Nigerian living in refugee camps all over the region? The brainless tout should address that human disaster in her democratic country, before pestering an elected president . Btw what's democracy ? It is a fcking political ideology based on utopia, and last time I checked the tenets of democracy made people free to choose what political system they want or fit them the best.
I'm sure the hood rat can not give us solutions to her Nigeria with no energy security, but she wants to give lessons to a president under illegal economic sanctions who managed to avoid the kind of disaster we are seeing in Nigeria . Fuel lines , food lines, internal displaced people , bombings all over the place , citizens in refugee camps .i rest my case, she should shove her democracy where the sun doesn't shine

It seems like you are repeating many of the things you see here on nairaland. I dont remember seeing problems between fulanis and other cameroonians.
You are getting wrong when you say if it were not for the white men you would not have met them. But that is not the subject here.
Fulanis are conservative, you cant blame them for that. If they want to retain their culture, I dont see any problem with it. Afterall the nations that we will build whether continental or with the current states will surely be multiethnic. And if we want to retain our African culture, not cooy french or english, then we need to let people be who they are. What should be expected of everyone is respect or civic values that we share. You cant blame people for being conservative.
With that said, where do you take it that fulanis are violent in nature?

There are none, I told you I'm not worried about Fulani in Cameroon, however their brothers from the rest of Africa can influence them in a bad way...

Considering that no African state can preserve its interests in the 21 st century by working alone , going toward nationhood within the current states is suicide. Nigeria, Ethiopia and DRC if they get their act together are the few viable ones in sub saharan Africa due to land and population mass. Even Europeans are moving toward stronger integration.
how exactly going toward nationhood is suicide ? Land mass and population are not what make a state viable except if you want to reduce viability to internal market and even if that's the case you are analogy is still not convincing as the countries you listed have all different land mass and different population numbers . Nationhood for me is adopting one language and culture as the de facto language and culture, uniting the people around that culture it is mixing all cultures to form one. Is that possible without war and subjugating smaller entities? I don't know , is that possible without dictatorship? I don't think so, however what I know is nationhood building process means people giving up a lot of what they think are important to them or make them. When African countries will reach such level they will become less penetrable by foreign forces and influences. If we decide to remain together we must really come together

How can a people not know what statehood is if they have built so many of them throughout history?
that's the point or the problem regardless of the so called states they built in the past, the ones they are living in right now were not built by them, maybe that's why they live like marginals and those who participate are so entitled and believe power at the centre is theirs. They are violent in nature and are yet to come to the reality , their so called glorious past is over and now that we are multi nations states , they need to accept some of us if it was not for the white men would have never been in contact with them, we not only don't owe them anything but they are not lords and definitely didn't teach us islam

I am not saying he was an angel , far from it but from what I read in his time he did build infrastructures and improved the livelihood of Cameroonians unlike many of his colleagues like Mubutu who not only killed great Pan Africanist like Lumumbu but also plundered the country and left it broke.
As for the 90s, it was the most messed up period since independence for many countries. It was due to the fall of the soviets and the rise of the new order with America as the superpower. A lot of things changed then.

Anyway lets move on, that is a period of time I don't even want to remember, like I said his place is in the dustbin of history. And the 90s crisis as far as Cameroon was concerned was due to state funds mismanagement, unpaid debts, low to no industrialization, which caused the IMF and world bank to step in and vandalize our country, then the currency was devaluated and the rest is history, people were earning peanuts money, lost everything in their bank accounts. And lets not forget that he organized a coup to come back in power.

See this is where part of the problem is my brother. When fulanis are attacked, their sisters and mothers molested, their property stolen, the media in Nigeria rarely reports it. They close their eyes and forget it. Now when fulanis retaliate, they run off reporting with inflated numbers. Otherwise why do you still this problem doesnt occur in Cameroon as much as it does in Nigeria? Did you know in the mid belt they had fulanis killed and eaten ?

Clashes happen if I'm not mistaken but there are not as violent, besides Cameroonian are pacific in nature and most believe in the state ability to resolve problems or conflicts , that's why a farmer will go the police station instead of confronting the intruders or shooting at them.
Do you have reports of Fulani being attacked ? Who is preventing them for creating their own radios? I don't believe what you said to b honest but if it is true then the govt should act fast.

I watched the video of that incident , I think the clash was based on religion and not ethnicity and at the time of the report the article said Hausa ? And I believe in was in retaliation .Berom vs Hausa if I'm not mistaken

It is always funny to me when I hear Cameroonians call Ahidjo a French stooge and claim that Biya is closet "resistant."
Ahidjo's body is in Senegal, he got other fulanis there too, so it is no biggy.
Why do you mistrust us? Lol what can we possibly do?

This is what I said only Cameroonian can judge that devil . Ahidjo hands in hands with the French army killed over 300.000 people in Cameroon, using napalm and bombing our regions and people ? Ahidjo beheaded Ossende Afana and asked for his head as a trophy one of Africa greatest economist of his time, the bad deeds of ahidjo are too much, but we understand he was a Malian, also he is responsible tho France take most of the blame for the economic crisis that hit us in the 90s because of debts, he was also a tribalist.

In Cameroon there is nothing you can do however, my problem is I see Fulani as people who do understand nationhood and state loyalty, they are also too religious esp Muslims for my liking. Those are personal observations and analysis.

And for God sake never ever compare Ahidjo with Biya ...Ahidjo is garbage

I have to disagree. Lamairu Network is an organization that heps many Bororo'en settle on Cameroon. They are doing what they can with few means at their disposal. In Guinea for example you dont have this issue. The vast majority of fulbe have settled. Heck, no days cattle herding have been replacing by trade. But this is the case because we control a whole region called Futa Djallon and built grazing areas to avoid the farmers. Even in Texas, America, they got grazing lands.

Then we agree that settling is the way to go, now another prominent fulbe like fulaman needs to accept that, btw I was talking in general esp for Nigeria with Fulani assaulting, maiming and killing people on a daily basis. I know in Cameroon there is a settlement program

Hi to you too.
Zone fulbe publishes in Fulfule, French and English. You will find some fulbe responding in Arabic and it is quite logical because unlike us, they went to Arab schools. If it depended on me, fulanis all of regions should standardize the language and use it for all communication instead of writting in foreign languages. You wont see fulanis speaking a european language or Arabic when gathered, ever.

Cool

My point is, you cant look at herdsmen and draw conclusions on fulanis. We are quite diverse from political leaders( why I mentioned Ahidjo) to business leaders to herdsmen.
Ahidjo did some good work in Cameroon despite anything one might say about him.

I think only Cameroonian have the right to judge him, and as far as most of us are concerned ahidjo was a dictator who belongs to the dustbin, a French stooge, no wonder is body will never come back and his grave have been desecrated several times. Now I don't look all fulbe as herdsmen loal, that wouldn't b fair, there are some gatemen too ah ah that was a joke I couldn't hold myself .
But I am still suspicious of the Fulani you never know with them
Culture / Re: Meet The Most Beautiful People On Earth- The Fulanis by CAMNEWTON4PRES: 4:29am On May 31, 2015
Omarbah:

Come on now, you wont tell fulanis what it is like to live in the 21 st century. We have had this conversation before when I told you it requires political will to solve this farmers/ herdsmen problem. We have it throughout the continent. Grazing areas need to be developped and ranches should be built to embrace people to settle.
In Cameroon, many proeminent fulanis have industries and are influent members of the state. If they take this problem seriously it can be solved. But Africans generally like to ask people to change instead of take appropriate measures to solve problems.

You can't solve issue without change , people have to come out from their shell or comfort zone. Btw culture is dynamic, in order to diffuse communities clashes, fulbe must adapt and change their way of life, I don't think ranch is much of a big deal, they have big regions and they love horse riding too at least the town ones do.

And yes we have prominent fulbe that's why I wonder why the so called elites want their people to remain backward and in the bush? For them to shout marginalization ? Or maybe because they still enjoy the monopoly of their education and are selfish individuals, yes why are those fulbe not running after cattle too? Or the pullaagu doesn't apply to them ? It is clear that there is an agenda which goals are to keep the people in the dark while the rich are in douala and yde in fenced duplex organizing. Orgies loal

Lol sucking to Arabs. We have never submitted to them. Yes we embraced Islam but that doesnt mean one is a wannabe Arab. As a matter of fact, our books in 17 and 18th century were written in Pulaar/ fulfude. Recently in Paris, the Timbuktu manuscrits enjoyed an exposition, fulfulde was the onyl African language to have books written in it. If we were Arab wannabe, we would have chosen to write in Arabic.

Do Fulani even know when they became Muslims ?

Btw your analogy is very poor, you know what they say? There are examples for everything, of course when pushed to the wall the fulbe will use fulbe especially when the exposition was on Africa ,using Arabic would have been quite out of place, but I can also give you examples of fulbe sucking up to Arabs .
Btw there is one groupe called zone fulbe on FBk , they are writing in Arabic most of the time and always posting Qur'an like it is a religious group.

So you are saying you want Fulani to give up a 10,000 year old tradition and join in with the others and become wannabe white men? I laugh in Fulfulde.

The other option is to create your own country and live your pullaagu the way you want, the fact is we can't not allow people to destroy crops putting our food security in danger, we can't allow people not taking their vaccines and carrying medieval diseases in the name of culture , if settling and building ranches is living like white men so b it , we are tired of fulbe moving their cattle on our roads, use trains or rent trucks like everybody that's what the 21st century is about , adapting our way of life to others, as a town Fulani you should know better , did that make you Arab?
