The National Examinations Council (NECO) has denied allegations that Government Secondary School, Olowa, in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State operates a "miracle examination centre."
In a press statement dated July 17, 2026, NECO stated that the school is government-owned, has existed for over 40 years, and has been presenting candidates for the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) since the year 2000.
The Council further clarified that the 28 candidates registered by the school for the 2026 NECO SSCE are bona fide students and not external candidates, contrary to claims made in some reports.

JAMB Registrar Prof. Oloyede signed and released the official NCE/ND Agric Registration Guidelines for June 2026. Here are the key points every affected candidate must know:

No more affiliated degree programmes in Colleges of Education from 2026/2027.
