you are right. I normally prefer to get my collections sorted by the database for the simplest cases. Ofcourse there will be cases where database sorting might not be enough but i haven't come across this yet in the apps i work with |
my loff how are u today |
Nice one logica. alpha-beta pruning looks like a very solid search algorithm |
Are you referring to JPA's @OrderBy or @Sort. i have only used @OrderBy in the past because it gives me the ability to sort a collection at the SQL level. |
but majority of what you work with is purely mathematical |

logica can you repost. your last post was deleted by the spam bot |
It does most definately I haven't done anything fancy with AOP yet, most of what i have done has been around seperating out cross cutting biz logic into aspects which can be reused by my app or by client programs accessing my app via a public API or webservice |
Nice one logica. Can you take use through how you did this. Pseudo-code might be very useful. Lets learn from your expereience ![]() i optimised an algorithm for calculating the fibonacci series in a recent project. nothing fancy since the algorithm used brute force recursion but i had to optimise the speed of the result returned from the fibonacci function that encapsulated this spec so i used a combo of divide and conquer to slit the series into smaller chunks and then results were cached at intermidiate steps which where then used by larger fibonacci numbers |
good advice logica |
lol an app without annotation is so 2006 ![]() i don't use AspectJ i find Spring AOP sufficient for most of my needs i use annotations everywhere in my app from JPA annotations to Spring annotations to Junit annotations. i also have a few annotations defined at the API level for third part use by client apps |
na for only 9ja them dey verify certificate na . i have never been asked for copies of my degree or certifcate here |
