Science/TechnologyFull Oneplus 7 Pro Phone Specifications And Price by Candytvng(op): 1:40pm On May 15, 2019
Oneplus 7 Pro model is the one that will really turn heads, and its gorgeous new design will impress even before we get to what’s changed on the inside.

It looks to offer great value, starting at just £649/$669 which cost 241,040.70 thousand in Nigerian.

Which support a new gradient colour options for the Pro, with Nebula Blue and Mirror Gray at launch, and Almond coming in June.

The screen is standout, awarded an A rating by DisplayMate and the company’s first Quad-HD+ display with 4.5m pixels (3120×1440, 516ppi). It’s a 6.67in Fluid AMOLED panel with HDR10+ certification and curved glass.

This display is flawless, with the 16Mp, f/2.0 Sony IMX471 selfie camera (the same as in OnePlus 6T and 7) housed in a new pop-up mechanism slightly off-centre at the top of the device, which has caused the dual-Nano SIM tray to move to the bottom.

The selfie camera is called up and ready to go in 0.58 seconds, and OnePlus’ testing suggests it will withstand at least 300,000 uses. There’s an extra seal here to keep out dust and water, and it will automatically retract if you drop the phone.

Notable is its 90Hz refresh rate, which will translate to smoother transitions between frames in every app but most appealingly in games. This is the default, though the Pro can also run at the smartphone-standard 60Hz. The new gaming and Fnatic software modes will also help users enjoy games without distraction.

Although OnePlus 7 Pro has extremely slim bezels, the company says it has only an 88.6% screen-to-body ratio – below some of its competitors, but only because OnePlus has not counted the curves. This is rather a tall phone, at 162.6×75.9×8.8mm, weighing in at 206g.

Built into this display is an enhanced fingerprint sensor, and OnePlus says it has managed to reduce the unlock speed from 0.4- to 0.24 seconds. It uses the same tech but benefits from a larger sensor area and upgraded lens.

The notification LED has been removed from the OnePlus 6T and is replaced in OnePlus 7 Pro with Horizon Light, a feature that causes the side of the screen to flash in the colour of the app from which a notification is triggered.

A few other things have also been moved around the phone’s body, for instance the side buttons and Alert Slider are now lower down to enhance usability in view of the larger display.

Likewise, OnePlus has seen fit to reposition the speaker grille to prevent it being muffled by the hand in landscape mode, and added a second speaker with Dolby Atmos for good measure. With no headphone jack personal listening is dependent on the USB-C 3.1 port.

The haptic vibration motor has also been improved following criticism that it was too weak, and is now 200% stronger.

Around the back of the phone you’ll find one of the more notable changes, and something that was also rumoured for OnePlus 6T ahead of launch but never materialised: three camera lenses.

OnePlus combines 16Mp ultra-wide (f/2.2) and 8Mp telephoto (f/2.4) lenses with a 48Mp Sony IMX586. The latter is a custom-made 7-element lens that is said to perform particularly well in low-light. It has optical image stabilisation and an f/1.6 aperture, 1.6um pixels and 3x optical zoom. 4K video is supported at 30/60fps, and there’s 1080p Super Slow Motion at 240fps (720p at 480fps).

The new triple-lens camera supports a hybrid autofocus that combines phase detection and contrast focus, which should translate to faster focusing in all conditions.

It also supports HDR+, another hybrid technology that compares light levels using the exposure value of each pixel and 3HDR, and Super Resolution, which takes into account the resolution information from multiple images to deliver more detail and dynamic range. As with OnePlus 7, there’s UltraShot and Nightscape 2.0, too.

With more fragile glass on display OnePlus has fitted Gorilla Glass 5 at the front and rear, but sadly the OnePlus 7 Pro still has no IP rating for waterproofing.

Moving on to some of the things you can’t see, OnePlus 7 Pro has the same 2.84GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, Adreno 640 GPU and UFS 3.0 fast storage as the standard model, as well as 10-layer liquid cooling.

It will be available in configurations with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM/128GB storage, 8GB RAM/256GB storage, and 12GB RAM/256GB storage.

A 4,000mAh battery is higher in capacity than the 3,700mAh model of the standard OnePlus 7, and it also charges faster with 30W Warp Charge. This can achieve a 50% charge in just 20 minutes. Sadly, there’s still no wireless charging.

OnePlus 7 Pro has all the same new software features as OnePlus 7, including screen recording, new gaming and Fnatic modes, Zen mode and RAM Boost.
