Sorry folks, unless Sokka has gotten better with his hand to hand combat skills, Asami would pwn him. Y'all are talking like she's only got a glove, the girl is an engineer, an efficient & effective fighter and also has the brains to go with it. Or have y'all forgotten? Asami is similar to Amon's right handman that was martial art-ing the shtako out of benders in season 1. And he was a common henchman. Now, imagine how lethal that guy would have been if he had Asami's brain...

tayoccu:
I don't think anybody can start from the scratch, I suggest he watches the Tom Baker (4th doctor) classics, skip Chris ecc (9th doctor), and continue from David Tennant (10th doctor).

the season premiere was awesome.
I hope the doctor doesn't kill davros, cos if he does, it will alter the entire timeline, that means, there will be no time war etc
They're better off starting from the 9th Doctor, it's works out better for the newbie.

Okay, I'm using valuable The Simpsons: Tapped Out time to answer this.

Accent: I've seen folks blow phonet pass the ones way don travel obodo oyinbo, and that was while I was in secondary school. I've heard some very questionable accents back home, especially when people hear me speak and notice I've a slight lilt to my accent. Then they try to out-accent me. Unfortunately, people now believe that having a foreign accent means you're of higher elk. But, you can still be refined with your accented Nigerian English, it hasn't stopped my parents.

Names: I don't have that luxury, all my names are concentrated Igbo names. ANB, you could have actually used the used the point of parents not teaching their children their native language instead. My parents didn't teach me or any of my siblings Igbo because they didn't want it to affect our English, maybe that's why we're chameleons when it comes to accents. My brother's Yankee accent will kill you (and that's before he went to America) and for odd reason people think I moved from America (I blame too much TV). Although, I've come across some people who will tell you that our African names are savage, then I give them the meaning of my names and ask them what are the meanings of theirs, most of them have no clue. Then, I explain to them, that our parents took the time to give us names with deep meanings, they didn't just pick it up from the ether.

Bleaching: On one of my holidays back home, my sister had to inform me that a family friend had bleached and I shouldn't react in typical cao fashion. On seeing this girl, in live and living colour, beautiful black skin turned into cocoon of decimated self-esteem, I guess that's what makes her happy. Shame, she wasn't happy with her beautiful skin.

White Jesus: That would just take way too much time and my bus ride is almost over.

Foreign experts: This makes some sense to some things, eg any high speed train projects. But, I think the prevalence of foreign experts, boils down to the fact that Nigerians seem to possess reverse racism & distrust for their fellow Nigerians, usually under the guise of tribalism and corruption. Once, they can get into that mentality that non-blacks nationals are not their saviours, maybe we'd get ahead a bit.

The premiere was OK, nothing spectacular
I wasn't going to watch it, then I just kinda stumbled on it after I rewatched the Blindspot & Minority Report pilots. The lead actor seems likeable, so I'll probably keep watching. This new TV season is not helping at all, I've way too much stuff to watch.

Singapore1:
yea yea
so there is another version of it huh
please where and how do recognize it?
The one on the left is the remake, the one on the right is the original. I actually own 3 seasons of the British one on Blu-Ray, so I haven't really actually downloaded stuff and I usually get my downloads from torrents. If I'm streaming, I just use the comments section of tvmuse.com and pick the vodlocker, vidbull or movreel links.

just love the soundtrack
i stopped at since 3 last two years, no news of season 4
I was talking about the original British show (it lasted 5 seasons), I'm guessing you might be talking about the Canadian/US remake (that lasted 4 seasons).

I'll just quote myself on how ineffective this method of cheating is...

Exactly. First of all, they've got to have like proper bionic eyes that will see that from their table. What about the invigilator? Won't they notice the scribbling and the fact that you're looking to the side of your table to see? How many times will the "I dropped my calculator/pencil/ruler/mind on the floor" work? Abeg, this kind expo too much & not exactly thought out...I will give them a F for poor execution.

Politics › Re: LASRRA: Lagos Residents To Collect Permanent Residency Card From Their LGA/LCDAS by cao(f): 1:53pm On Sep 21, 2015
Permanent residency card? That's odd, the words "permanent residency" only usually applies to matters of immigration...colour me confused. So was there 'a life in Lagos test'? Is there any language requirement? Is Lagos now a republic nation? So can I now say that I'm also a citizen of Lagos, when I'm asked about my nationality?

She beat Kerry Washington and Taraji...mehn she good
Actually, she beat these women:
Christine Baranski - The Good Wife
Emilia Clarke - Game of Thrones
Joanne Froggatt - Downton Abbey
Lena Headey - Game of Thrones
Christina Hendricks - Mad Men

She was nominated for best supporting actress in drama, not the lead actress. The one that won that particular award was Viola Davis. In fact Kerry wasn't nominated at all.

lol at the bolded... actually the advert on B4U warns that it's not a love story that was why i asked.
From the little adverts I had seen, I assumed it would be like 500 days of summer, then I found myself rooting for the chic, 'cause it looked like she had been forced/fallen into the relationship and that the guy was obsessed. Then of course, the interval happened, then we got another side of the story, then in typical Bollywood fashion, the 3rd act happened and the tone of the film changed drastically. I'll give the leads credit though, they acted their butts off. Since I know I wanted to punch the lead guy several times in the head.

rubi96:
how interesting is this movie?
By the end of the film, it felt like I had watched 3 films. I still think the relationship was rather unhealthy, but the plot twist that was the 3rd act actually kinda worked, I know at least one person behind me in the cinema was trying to hide their crying. Just be ready to slap, hate and hug the lead characters.

yea i know. But people who watch it are mostly old,i have heard alot about it,never really got to seeing it though, like where do i start from?? lol
Over here, they don't joke with Doctor Who, it's a British national treasure enjoyed by the whole family. Anywho, you could start with the 9th Doctor's series (series 1, as in from 2005, unless you really want to start from the actual first one in 1963 with the first Doctor, then I wish you luck).

lordprogress:
yeah guys i nid ur comment in this debate
THE GAANG VS THE KREWS
The GAANG comprises of aang,katara,toph,zuko,sokka,momo,appa,
The KREW consist of korra, mako, bolin, asami, naga, and pabu
Who do you thing will win the GAANG which led by the last airbender AANG
And the KREW which led by korra who do you think will win
To compare, we'd need to see both teams in their prime. We saw GAANG when they were 12-14/15 with an Avatar, who was a fully realised Airbender (with an amazing spiritual connection to boot) with a couple of kids, who had to do and learn some rather amazing things in a rather short time. I always feel sorry for Suki, everyone forgets her.

Now, with KREW, we got an Avatar, who was already bending 3 out of the 4 elements, at a very young age. She was physically gifted, but spiritually inept. Unlike Aang, whose strategy was to avoid/evade/dodge, Korra's strategy was to attack head on. Plus KREW were made up of older teenagers and we saw them as young adults in the last season.

Like I said, we'd need to see them at peak condition before we can judge.

I agree with you that bunkie([s][/s]who used to be a member of my church[s][/s] acted quite silly, compare it with when Veron confronted lucious abt the murder, the look on big V's face when lucious said he wanted to tear down what I have built is enough to make him quickly change is statement to what we built. I believe if he had approached in a different manner without threat he could hav gotten what he wanted.

Lucious' cry during the burial seems more like a cry of regret of his action than missing someone who's dead
Those were crocodile tears, those were I-got-away-with-murder tears. Like you said, Vernon saw that Lucious was bat shtako crazy, he just jejely started planning Lucious' downfall...until Andre & Rhonda messed it up...
