The Rum Diary. Let's see if I can finish it this time, I've already stopped it once. UPDATE: Stopped it again, one day I shall finish this film. |
EmmGee:This was the main reason why I compiled the list in the first place. |
QI strikes again. "Am I dying or is this my birthday?" — Lady Nancy Astor (1879-1964), when she woke briefly during her last illness and found all her family around her bedside. |
EmmGee: The story tells of a mentally ill man who adopts the persona of a real-life superhero named Defendor on a quest to find his arch enemy, Captain Industry.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defendor

yhomz093:Not a clue, but the thing is if it's a software problem, then you would have wasted all your money for naught. If it's the corrupt boot file, then enter the safe mode and select Restore File System. Be sure you choose this option, it won't delete your saves, files, playlists etc. This link will show you how to enter safe mode. http://community.us.playstation.com/t5/PlayStation-3-Support/How-to-access-Playstation-3-SAFE-MODE/td-p/5812274 I just realised I never asked which model of PS3 you're using. One of the other ways I use is to clean my BR lens with a BR lens cleaner. And another is to play a downloaded game (a demo also works), then inserting the BR into the PS3 and then pressing the PS button - the disc icon will then pop up in the necessary area (under video for films, under games for games). One other thing I've also found is, if I leave my disc in the PS3 and then it shuts down, I've to sort out the nonsense all over again. If it's the hardware problem, I know I should have the link saved somewhere. |
Defendor. |
yhomz093:Yup. |
Funny how the OP & the original author don't know the definition of abdominal muscles (abs)... |
Desperado. |
MoyoGENERAL:Pele, no cry too much-o. |
Are you buying or selling or do you want folks to just call you? |
tmanuelle:Exactly. It's like how the colour pink is associated with girls, and blue is associated with boys. Did you know that it was only in the 20th century this happened? So before the 1900s it was the other way around. Who was the person that said women should wear high heels & dresses? And men should wear trousers? You'd think men would wear dresses since they also need breathing room down there. |
If I remember correctly, the actor Michael Jai White's first wife proposed to him, 'cause they had been dating for a year & they loved each other, why wait for him to get it together? During an interview with Essense, he stated he didn't feel emasculated and then gave this rather interesting response which seems to apply to guys in general: “I knew I was going to spend the rest of my life with her whether we got married or not”Sadly, after five years of marriage, they are now divorced, he left her (an OB/GYN doctor) for a model - that particular cliché didn't end well, he's now engaged to an actress. |
yhomz093:Check with DVDs & CDs, this is to see if the problem only happens with BRs. If it's only occurs with the BRs, then it's either a hardware problem (then you'd need to replace the BR lens) or a software problem (usually a corrupt boot file). |
yhomz093:Now this one I'm a pro at, if it's the issue I think it is. Does it not play any disc (BR, DVDs & CDs)? Or does it only refuse to play BRs (PS3 games & BR films)? And does it make the ejection noise when you put the disc in? If it's the BR one with the ejection noise, then I can give you my usual non-evasive fixes. |
Real Husbands of Hollywood, this prison episode with the wives is just all kinds of funny. LWKMD. |
Nikita. The original French film that started it all. |
So we're finally in 2015, the future that Marty McFly travels to. Unfortunately, we still have no commercially available hoverboards, self-tying shoes or holograms.
|
wintersnow:You're welcome, you do know this quite common knowledge, right? They even released a director's cut of the ending, which still did nothing to make anyone feel better. |
El Mariachi. |
Bee Movie. |
TerraByte:You can find it on eBay, Amazon etc, as for the price it seems to vary, that's if you can find one. I've no clue how you'd get it in Naij, plus, since the PS2 is no longer in production. Anywho, if you do get it look for the 3rd version. |
justscorch:Same to you... The thing with these epic RPGs, I'll spend my life doing all the side missions. I might try it out, 'cause I've heard good things about the DA series in general. Bioware better not pull that stunt they pulled with Mass Effect - after telling us through 2 rather epic games that our choices matter, they slap us with an ending in the third saying "surprise mofo, it was all for s***." Seriously, I was finally going to play through my copy of ME3, then I heard the ending, see the way I removed the disc with impunity and never looked back. |
Preboy:Same to you-o. Happy New Year everybody, may you have a fantastic 2015. |
Suspicion. BBC iPlayer be killing me with the Hitchcock films. Sidebar: Not a single movie in sight, it's a new year (at least in Naij, still 2014 here in the UK) & folks still have trouble reading on NL. preciouslog1: |
Charlie Brooker's 2014 Screenwipe. |
Exogenesis: Symphony by Muse. Yes, the whole 3 parts/movements (Overture, Cross Pollination & Redemption) 12 minutes and 51 seconds of pure sweetness. I'll probably just listen to my Muse collection after this...sweet... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c901NUazf3g |
Brianstorm by Arctic Monkeys. The only song of theirs I know, the drummer kills it on this track. |
I keep seeing free mcboot and other random stuff that just goes over my head. TBH, I keep my console gaming legit, because I don't want wahala, but my PC gaming used to be mostly...not...legit, since I was never perturbed with online gaming. |
chibatov:Err...you might want to get a clearer screenshot... |
