Hermanie:Excuse me, while I laugh...is this supposed to be trolling? C'mon son, you could do better than that...Seriously, I'll let you have another go. Forgive me, this reply took a long time to write 'cause I kept laughing. OK, I...will...stop...laughing ..... .... ... ... Okay, I'm good now. It's your moment to shine my dear boy, the spotlight's on you...now we're ready for you...give us your best trolling*. *don't worry we're here for you! |
Preboy:I just pay way too much attention, okay maybe I paid way too much attention to X-Men and Spidey back in the day. Maybe I've talked a bit too much about the actual X-Men First Class (Beast, Ice Man, Marvel Girl (Jean Gray's original codename that no one seemed to care about), Cyclops & Angel. The fact that Sony have messed up the Summers family children, the fact that Angel Salvatore appeared from 2000 and something. The fact that Sony messed up Emma Frost and brought out her diamond form mutation that occurred during the....sorry I zoned out for a second...And that's only from Earth-616, I didn't even touch the other AUs. Or the reboots they're doing. Omo I quietly took my butt outta that equation, I stick to limited/completed series independents now. Trying to follow mainstream DC & Marvel comics could kill person-o. |
I would recommend the hell out of Kingsman: The Secret Service. Samuel L. Jackson played a lisping Russell Simmons, no one can tell me otherwise. It's based on a Millarworld* comic, so it will be filled with funny parts and violence, you'll definitely see Colin Firth in a new light, think how Taken turned Liam Neeson into an action star. *that's Mark Millar to those who don't know, the guy who created Kick-Ass, Wanted, The Secret Service comics that the films are loosely based on. Seriously, Wanted deviated a lot from the comics, Kick Ass film is seriously less violent - I'm not kidding - and the true storyline is hella sad when you find out. Usually, you're better off watching the films first then reading the comics for the proper WTF moment you'll have. |
Preboy:Thanks, there was no way it would be Tony Stark - we would have knocked him out cold in the first minute, 'cause he would have pissed us off. Not Thor, oh boy is nice to stare at, but there are times you just want to watch him fight, then slap him for breaking your fave mug 'cause he wanted another cup of coffee. We never really got to see Hawkeye as himself, yes Mr. Bow & Arrow kicked butt with those arrows, but he was a blue eyed zombie for about 70% of the film and he only had a cameo in Thor. Hulk has been played by three different guys in three different films & Mr. Banner is still kinda meh - I understand his struggle, but if I see another mediocre Hulk without the actual Hulk smashing s*** up I would beat him with more gamma radiation. Plus, I don't want to die 'cause I took the last meat from the pot. Let's see if MCU's Quick Silver matches Sony's Quick Silver, at least we get his twin sister Scarlet Witch as well, of course daddy Magneto & mutants don't exist, Sony owns all the film rights to the X-Men universe. Maybe it's good that Marvel don't own the film rights to Fantastic Four, Spider-man & X-Men, explaining to folks that they've all had team ups at one point or another, might actually kill non-readers with confusion. I was about to explain it, before I gave up. Okay, I'm off to watch Kingsmen: The Secret Service. |
coogar:No. It was some of their (or most, they could have been lying) servers that were down, not just FIFA 14's. They were folks who had it down for over 5 hours, I wasn't really bothered, I just wanted my FCs & XPs to update. |
Preboy:It's a tie between Black Widow & Captain America. Black Widow has no powers and she's just a BAMF, look at the interrogation scene in Avengers, where she let the Russians (mob maybe?) capture her, while she reversed interrogated them, then she finishes them in mere seconds after Coulson tells her she's assigned to something else. It's a shame they cancelled her solo film, it would been a pleasure to watch. Captain America is just the likeable Boy Scout, who would never mock the little guy, since he was the little guy. The guy was scrawny and sickly, but he still tried to sign up for the Army everytime he could, even though he was technically committing fraud. He still tried to fight for justice, even though his face was not made to take a punch, he'd get back up and still take the beating until he couldn't. When he got upgraded, he was still that guy, but finally had the muscle to back it up. The scene with the grenade in the first Captain America film, where all the big tough guys ran away and this scrawny kid just wraps himself around it and tells everyone to stay back, that scene sums him up perfectly. |
It appears that the EAS FC servers are down. UPDATE: They appear to be working again...Don't know how long it will last. |
boofydon:I still can't believe I forgot to watch this. Oh well, there's always the internet. |
Preboy:24/4/2015 (UK). The US will get it on 1/5/2015. I've no idea about the Naija release date. For some odd reason the UK always gets MCU films before the Americans. All I know is, if my local cinema does the double feature bill they've been doing for all the MCU sequels (except Iron Man), I'll be there on the 23rd fangirling my butt off, while explaining the post credit scenes to n00bs. @bolded, LWKMD. I honestly spent about a minute laughing at that. |
jorhney:Nightcrawler was an interesting movie, the fact that you were kinda rooting for a hustler, who would do anything to get ahead, was a testament to Jake Gyllenhaal being an awesome actor. Unlike Mark Wahlberg's character in The Gambler, where I just wanted to punch him so many times, I facepalmed so many times in the cinema, I gave myself a headache. Although, I'll give Mark some credit for making me want to punch the guy, since the actor seems rather likeable. I'm looking forward to watching Kingsmen: The Secret Service tonight. Gotta love how Millarworld comics are just freely adapted to films now. Fingers crossed that Super Crooks gets the same treatment. |
According to the folks on the FIFA 15 thread...NO. |
deinmo2:I don't play PC, plus I only buy FIFA every 2 years, currently on FIFA 14. |
deinmo2:Nope, they expect you to spend money to get your own copy. |
deinmo2:I believe he's telling you to legally buy FIFA 15 because there's currently no pirated crack. If you're waiting for a cracked version, you'll have to keep waiting... |
Preboy:To each their own, we're all entitled to our opinion, even if we don't agree. Now, why was 'no offense meant' written in leet? Since it would have been easier using qwerty keypad/keyboard, instead changing between numerals, symbols and cyrillic... |
purplekayc:I'm a fan of GotG, I'm definitely looking forward to the next batch of MCU films & tv shows (Netflix will be doing Daredevil, Jenny Jones, Iron Fist, Luke Cage and ending with them teaming up as The Defenders; Agent Carter is killing it right now, that woman will end you with a stapler, with her make-up & dress still intact; Agents of SHIELD looks like it might kill us now they've started the Inhumans arc). Right now Marvel can do no wrong, see how Big Hero 6 (it might have the Disney logo on it, but it's based on a Marvel comic) is doing well. Marvel seems to have got the perfect cast and crew to give you a rather enjoyable experience disguised as movies. |
Chidexter:It's too similar to the original post, since they were able to find the the original source material from your post. If this was from a Nigerian blog/site or a NL original, this would have made FP. You could try again and I could re-submit it. |
This is obviously not a definitive list, you'd need to play every video game sequel known to man. What video game sequel do you consider the worst? What game made or almost made you give up on the franchise? Here are the ones I can think of right now: Assassin's Creed: Revelations - This was probably the first AC game you never tried to finish. It suffers from the the constant back and forth gameplay, that reminds you that you're currently playing the most boring & repetitive AC video game ever created until... Assassin's Creed III - The other AC game that bored you to death. Yes, it might have been less annoying than running back and forth like a headless chicken attempting to do the Macarena, and it had that epic pre-title reveal while you were controlling Haytham, but it still bored you. Yes, the hunting bit was exciting, but you got bored after skinning your 10th animal, while acting like a bored ninja on a tree. This was the second AC game you didn't finish. Fortunately, Ubisoft redeemed themselves with Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. Apparently, we just wanted to be pirates. Prince of Persia: Warrior Within - You thought ACR was Ubisoft's first attempt at the boring back and forth headless chicken dance? Nope, they pulled this travesty years ago, yes it also involved time travel with our dear Prince running back and forth in time in the SAME FREAKING BUILDING! By the third time of you doing the back and forth headless chicken dance, you probably threw away the game disc, while yelling "DUECES/WAKA/YOUR FATHER" or just simply screamed at it. Duke Nukem Forever - This is solely here because I stopped playing FPSs while I was waiting for it. The majority of those who did wait & finally played it, label it as a dated disappointment. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 - This is solely here because it stopped me from playing the franchise. I was going to get this and the original game, but by the time I perused the forums, I didn't bother anymore. Then the final nail in the coffin happened - Disney bought LucasArts and then destroyed it, taking away their [only] hope of ever redeeming this franchise. |
Chidexter:TPTB pointed it out, it would appear that you've based it too much on you research material. Unfortunately, it appears that it will remain a local champion of the gaming section. Good find though. |
Chidexter:Oh boy why you come dey form like you write the thing? Chei! Anywho, TPTB would prefer more Nigerian based original content. |
frank33:I don't own a PS4, but that thread has people who are able to confirm it. EDIT: Just re-read your message, the only games I've played on the list are COD:AW, NBA 2K14 & Injustice: Gods Among Us (PS3). The closest that technically applies to what you want (that I've played) is COD. The list didn't include FIFA - that's odd. |
frank33:Here's a user created list. http://psnprofiles.com/forums/topic/12404-list-of-ps4-games-with-local-multiplayer/ |
drey08:Ah...Sunset Overdrive, I just love the spirit & OTT nature of this game. This is currently one of the reasons I would get an Xbox One, but Microsoft likes to go out of its way to annoy me with all their antics*. *seriously don't ask |
I love how no one has noticed the author's mistake, the OP also copied it - headline says three days, but the first paragraph says five days (it even has it in CAPS), then it goes back to three for the rest of the story. |
I passed it on to TPTB the minute I saw it. |
ritababe:I'm not really into android gaming, I need my phone to last throughout the day. Spend most of my personal gaming time on the PS3. |
purplekayc:Apparently, he isn't hooked on a feeling and he's definitely not high on believing. |
The Gambler. |
You might want to ask the mods to move your thread here instead of making a duplicate one. |
dljbd1:It was okay, although there were times I kept wondering how the director did some scenes (every scene is one long take), it kept distracting from the story. I'll give Michael Keaton credit for his acting, I did worry a lot about the character's sanity. |
