Oddly enough, I only just saw your post AFTER reading the thread. BTW, the OP appears to have knicked the content from a Looper, a rather popular YouTube (& website) channel I'm actually subscribed to, still a decent FP thread, though.

I th I k they should just kill the franchise now. But the last one crossed a billion dollars in sales so that's why they did another one leaving an avenue for continuity.

Well, I just got back from actually watching. I enjoyed it and the bits from the trailer are from the first act. Granted, it still was about saving the dinosaurs and the hubris of man. But, unlike say the how transformers killed itself by having no real continuity and basically relying on the McGuffin and creating new plot holes with every subsequent instalment. For now, I'm still good with the Jurassic Park franchise.

It still surprises me it got a new trilogy (they always come in 3s), since the original trilogy didn't consistently make huge bank.
