dragonking3:Probably aggressive tanning... |
Finally catching up on Blindspot. |
Cowards, they're not even willing to die for their own cause. Kidnapping innocents, forcing them into their doctrine and then sending them out to die. Useless wastes of oxygen. |
March 2017 Disc Jam, PS4 Tearaway Unfolded, PS4 Under Night: In-Birth, PS3 Earth Defense Force 2025, PS3 Lumo, PS Vita (crossbuy on PS4) Severed, PS Vita |
Floyd45:Intense, emotional and a rather good action drama. |
moneyallowed:That's it! I'm DEAD. The scene with Nebula & Gamora - Sibling Rivalry: Extreme Edition. I'm loving that GotG 2 will make some folks discover Fleetwood Mac. |
Logan. |
Nukualofa:My guy, na Valkyrie way dey carry warriors to Valhalla... |
Nehemz:Read again, it says about 40 years after, one of the presidents that came after me... |
OBJ...c'mon like you haven't done the same? ![]() |
armylord:You got pwned, get over it, better yet - get better at it. |
majour:Now who's reaching? The 4 Oscars are not from DCEU, only 1 is. MCU has made significantly more money - 4 films passed the billion dollar mark, a total of $10b. BvS failed to surpass Deadpool in America and only managed to finally surpass it worldwide (which is quite embarrassing, since Deadpool was rated R, wasn't released in China and was produced with a fraction of its budget. Now, I know it isn't MCU, but just making a point.) The Captain America trilogy surpases all the 3 films, also The Iron Man trilogy. BvS contained the DC trinity & didn't make the billion that was expected of it. |
ladyZainab:Fair enough, fear catch all of us. |
majour:Dude, they're playing catch up. SS got an Oscar for make up & styling, we've heard. Stop making it sound like it got a big Oscar award. We've had many Superman & Batman films. Superman & Batman have both been rebooted even. MCU is in Phase 3 with over 15 films, DCEU is still in phase 1, with 3 films. That is the very definition of catching up. |
majour:Dude, I specifically said Sucker Punch. Didn't even talk about Suicide Squad. |
$2,590 which is a little over a million naira. Exchange rate bad like this? |
A PS 1? Oh well...good luck. |
majour:Excuse you, that's simply me watching Zach's films. A great example of his inability to tell a story is Sucker Punch - the story within the story within the mental institute. Great visuals, one confusing jumble of a story. If he had simply made a film using the "dance sequences", it would have been a rather competent action sci-fi-ish film. Instead of a film about a girl in a mental institute about to have a lobotomy, dreaming about her life in the said institute as a brothel/strip club, where all the dance sequences are dreamed up as action sci-fi set pieces. |
majour:You're confusing the film time with actual time. DC/WB tried to do a lot of the world building for the DCEU in BvS. MCU did all the world building in the individual films. See the exposition email scene for the JL in the BvS. The AU Darkseid scene (AKA nightmare scene) that confused a lot of folks, even though I actually knew what the scene was about, I was angry for those who only knew about MoS. I've watched the extended version, the director failed his own film by not editing it correctly. If they had simply released the 3 hour version or edited better, it won't have been as confusing as it was. I kept wondering what hell happened to all those bullets during the original cut. I remember watching it in Naij (was on hols) & the guy next to me kept going "tell him already" during the beginning of Batman v Superman showdown. I remember joking to my sister that if they were women they would have spoken ages ago. I even remember vividly calling them both d**ks on several instances sef. Don't even get me started on the Martha foreshadowing and the odd use of slo-mo in some scenes. Zach is a good visual director, not always a very good story teller. My location is simple, it says so on my profile. I'm not in Lagos. |
RIP. These bloggers really need to proof-read - Perhaps she is also a staff of GTB. The OP should really stop trying to make a more enticing headline. |
This day and age were anybody can put anything on their social media. This is actually quite tame. |
Internetboy: recievesense:I only know this 'cause I saw it yesterday and after my initial shock of realising that I was watching a snuff film. I was then told it was an old Brazilian gang video of sorts. Then my brain unfortunately put two and two together. Unfortunately, videos like these exist. |
majour:High and mighty or not, CACW was a better film. Do you know what DCEU's problem is? They are trying to rush to reach the MCU's level, remember Marvel had years to grow, the characters had their origin films before the big team up film. Nobody expected a shared universe to work, but it did, now everybody is trying to start their own. If DC/WB can put as much effort as they do their animated film franchise, seriously if they could put a fraction of that effort in, they'd do wonders. |
It's not SA, it's Brazil. Apparently, this is an old video. |
Jeromejnr:You learn something new everyday... |
majour:Calm down fanboy, last time we checked it didn't get nominated for story, picture or director, it won for best make up & styling against two other films (Star Trek Beyond and a film I haven't watched), so shift. Guy talking like SS was Citizen Kane or some brilliance in high tech cinema. I enjoyed SS, especially its first act, but it had its issues and the villain's blue light effect endgame was weak. DCEU better not eff up with Wonder Woman, if they do, they will no longer collect my money. |
Bahddo:So we won't get hunted down by poachers. |
According to this thread, I must be a unicorn. |
War on Everybody. I really wanted to watch this, but it didn't get released in my cinema. The trailer made it look crazy as hell - bad corrupt cops just being bad and corrupt. |
One day, I might force myself to read this... |
JoeBlocks:The guy is probably looking at his pile of money, he ain't concerned. I do love the story and how much Star Wars helped the sci-fi space epic genre. How he fought to get it released after nobody really wanted to take the risk. But, I guess George has simply spoiled some things for me with his constant meddling and money grabbing tendencies. It's not like Hollywood is filled with saints, but imagine if James Cameron started retroactively changing the original Terminator and the superb T2? To add CGI or change faces to keep with the current continuity? Seeing a 1997 CGI Jabba the Hutt in a film that was originally released in 1977 is just messed up. Don't even get me started on Han Shot First... |
JoeBlocks:Don't come near me with any of the prequels. With all the wooden acting, terrible dialogue (terrible delivery of said dialogue*), over reliance on CGI - who needed all those flying Jedis? Did you really need to pull off a complicated gymnastic move to fight that person? TPM was enough for me with the prequels, when I watched it as a teen, didn't bother with the rest. I will give the prequels this, the third one actually made a rather decent video game. I'm forever grateful that George Lucas gave us Star Wars, but there are times I think the man is blinded by money & his perfectionist nature**, he really needs to improve on his dialogue skills. He can stick to the world building and leave the screenplay for someone else. Oh and he needs to stop complaining, see how he scattered his own mythos with metaclo-whatevers and whatnots. *seriously someone needs to be shot for that rubbish sand line and Hayden's delivery of it. Look how George Lucas made Natalie Portman look like a useless actress. **why spoil Indie with that odd sequel? Look at how he retroactively changed scenes in the original trilogy, sometimes it looks like they guy thinks his changing ideas would literally change the past. It's still vexing me that Boba Fett's original ESB voice was changed to the guy that played his clone daddy in the prequels. No offence to that guy, but the original voice was more menacing. |
