Hannania: Download IntelligentCV on the play store and follow the template. Your CV structure doesn't look "Globally Competitive". Search a portfolio of Software engineers on Linkedin and see how it is. Good evening. Please clear the link to my resume from your post. I wanna remain anonymous here. Thanks |

tensazangetsu20: Its not bad honestly get rid of that orange stuff. It should just be black and white. Remove the junior in your bio. You are a developer. Also, add some experience. Places you worked in your post even if it wasn't a development job say you were a developer.
Also, where are you applying? Include Nigeria in the list of countries you are applying to its actually easy to get a junior dev role in Nigeria if you are competent and your projects are really good. If you are targeting remote roles, target places like Mexico, South American countries, poorer European countries, and Asian countries like Japan and South Korea.
Also you can do everything right and nothing. Like I always tell people its a numbers game. Set a target today to apply to at least 10 jobs everyday. You also need to start getting yourself ready for interviewing. Start doing easy leetcode questions. As a junior, opportunities are hard to come by and once you get an opportunity, you should be able to smash it. If you are looking for things to learn, learn wordpress and learn shopify as those are very important on upwork and can help you earn money.
Just keep on applying. Please help me remove the link from this quote. I wanna remove my details from this thread |

Just keep on applying. I mostly see senior roles or fullstack for Nigerian companies. Perhaps I'm not searching well. I think my projects are decent. progress-aienobe.netlify.app I'll start working on leetcode questions too |

Hannania: First post your portfolio let's help you review it.
Secondly, When you do all the edits, go on LinkedIn and filter the search query under jobs to: 1. REMOTE 2. Poland, MEXICO, Columbia, and EMEA nations in general 3. Remote junior dev role 4. Be technology specific .. That's my resume. There's a link to my portfolio website there |

Hi guys, I'm a self taught Frontend developer and I need tips on ways I can monetize this skill. I am proficient with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, NextJS and Tailwind.
My initial plan when I started learning to code was to make money with freelancing. I'm approaching a year on upwork and I have not made one dollar. I also tried fiverr with no luck. I recently started applying for frontend roles at companies but I also have no luck with those. I keep getting rejection emails regularly.
I would like advice on how I can make money with this skill. I'm a student and i've invested a lot of time and money into learning this. This situation is becoming very frustrating.
Please give me tips on how I can earn some money with this skill. |

My CV is what have been getting me the few interviews so far. Just showcase the best of your projects on your CV and some relevant experience you've gathered so far. Internships, hackerthons, pair programming etc Alright thanks. These are currently my best projects https://cryptostatz.netlify.app/http://product-feedback-app-seven./I don't have experience with hackathons or internships |

jesmond3945: you are good brother and never give up. Don't depend only on Upwork, there are 1 million remote opportunities out there for a junior front end developer. Check LinkedIn, check indeed and other freelance sites. Do a cold call as well. Keep on knocking, Go to IT conferences and share your card. Up your skill level too. Most important put Jesus first. Only one door you need and other doors will open Thank you so much. This is very encouraging. |

tensazangetsu20: Look through my former posts on the kinda projects people should do I even put down some examples. Yeah if it's a woman it's acceptable. The bar for women isn't the same as men especially when it comes to getting work. Women get hired with to do list on their Portfolio but absolutely no one will hire you a man with a to do list on his portfolio in 2021. I guess I'll have to find more advanced stuff to build |

tensazangetsu20: Brother, I would be very frank with you. If these are the kind of things you have a portfolio then you never start except you be woman sha. If you be man, this is absolutely unacceptable. What kind of projects do you have in mind then? I know I'm a junior Dev and what I've made is stuff that's appropriate for my skill level. And also what does gender have to do with anything? |

Hi everyone! I've been teaching myself how to code for some months now. So far, I've been able to learn HTML, CSS and JavaScript. My goal is to become a Full stack developer.
I've built several projects and I also created an account on Upwork to get some jobs. Upwork hasn't been very encouraging though. I've been there for months and I haven't been able to land any jobs. I'm also combining all these with my studies at university.
What I want to know right now, is, what kind I do right now to be able to make some money and also gain experience as a junior developer. I'm also close to learning a JavaScript framework so i can be more employable.
Please tell me how you were able to develop your skills and your career. I really need some guidance so i can make the right choices. |
