Felix Kiprono, a lawyer in Nairobi, Kenya, has his eye on someone special: President Obama's daughter Malia. His offer to win her hand? Fifty cows, 70 sheep and 30 goats. "People might say I am after the family's money, which is not the case. My love is real," he told the Nairobian newspaper. Moreover, he adds, he's been faithful to his beloved since he first became aware of her. "I got interested in her in 2008," he said. "As a matter of fact, I haven't dated anyone since and promise to be faithful to her. I have shared this with my family and they are willing to help me raise the bride price." He's currently working on a letter to announce his intentions and plans to give it to the local U.S. Embassy. According to prices on Africa Farming , Kiprono's offer could be worth in excess of $90,000. There are some issues, of course. For one, Malia Obama is 16. For another, she'll have to develop a taste for village life. "Ours will be a simple life. I will teach Malia how to milk a cow, cook ugali (a porridge) and prepare mursik (a sour milk) like any other Kalenjin woman," he said. Who says you can't put a price on love? https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=839591129453375&substory_index=0&id=823667184379103

Adam Afolabi Ndabagi, the 28-year old man who trekked from Abeokuta, Ogun State to Lagos in honour of the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu finally met with the former Lagos State Governor on Sunday at his residence in Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi, Lagos. He met Tinubu at about 5pm. He was also given N200.000 cash gift by the politician. Ndabagi, who had been roaming about to see Tinubu since Wednesday last week when he arrived Lagos was received by the APC leader, alongside the state party chairman, Otunba Oladele Ajomale, Cardinal Odunmbaku and other chieftains. He finally was able to gain entry into Tinubu's compound at 2.30pm on Sunday, since 10.45am on Friday when he got to Bourdillon. Though Tinubu did not have much time to talk to the trekker, but he took photographs with him. Upon meeting Tinubu, he laid flat on the floor with his customised T-shirt, which had the inscription, 'Tributes to the head of political revolution, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu' and a banner reading, 'The current Awolowo of our time, Jagaban of Africa'. As he said thanked Tinubu, the APC leader replied: 'thanks to democracy'. Few minutes later, one of Tinubu's aides handed over a brown envelope to Ndabagi and said that it contained N200, 000 from the former governor. https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=992804487411207&id=100000449946629&set=gm.891547427554256&source=57&ref=bookmark |
