In Daniel 7, we see that Daniel has a dream. In his dream, he sees four beasts: a lion with eagle’s wings, a bear, a leopard with four heads and the wings of a fowl, and a fourth beast more ferocious than the rest.

There is much of interest in all these four creatures, but Daniel is especially interested in the 4th most terrible beast. It is of interest to Daniel because of its destructive power, conspicuous horn and its fight against God's people.

"These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth.. – Daniel 7:17 KJV

1) The Lion with Eagle’s Wings:- The first was like a lion, and had eagle's wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth, and made stand upon the feet as a man, and a man's heart was given to it. - Daniel 7:4 KJV

Everyone knows that the eagle is the symbol of the United States, and many people will also recognize the lion as the symbol of the United
Kingdom. In Other words, the wings of the eagle (America) were broken off the Lion (the UK) when America became a country on July 4th, 1776.
Daniel 7:4 was a prophecy of the Declaration of Independence – the birth of America.

2) The Bear:- And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear, and it raised up itself on one side, and it had three ribs in the mouth of it between the teeth of it: and they said thus unto it, Arise, devour much flesh. Daniel 7:5 KJV
If you pay any attention at all to the news, it is very easy to identify the Bear as Russia. You hear the talk regularly about the Russian Bear 2. Russia is well known for its ability to devour much flesh as leaders like Lenin and Stalin killed several million people.

3) The Leopard and the Fowl:- After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard, which had upon the back of it four wings of a fowl; the beast had also four heads; and dominion was given to it. Daniel 7:6 KJV

Most people probably do not know that the symbol of France is a Rooster, which is a fowl, and the unofficial symbol of Germany is the leopard.
German Leopard tanks have been used predominantly in European armies since their introduction in the 1960s.
We can understand the four heads of this leopard by remembering that Germany’s Third Reich historically attempted to gain world dominion during World War II, and that the Fourth Reich is emerging in our time. France and Germany are also founding members of the European Union.

4) The fourth Beast:- After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. Daniel 7:7 KJV

In Revelation 13:1-2, the Apostle John depicts Daniel’s four beasts again, now combined into one: a beast that is part leopard, part bear, and part lion, with ten horns.
This beast is a world-dominating kingdom that will include Germany, Russia, and England. Since Daniel sees that the leopard is given dominion, we may also surmise that Germany will be the dominant nation in this world government. The new horn that emerges and dominates three others tells us this government will be controlled by the Antichrist.

It is important to note that the wings of the eagle are missing from this united beast. Instead, we see the wings of the eagle in Revelation 12:14 protecting the woman, which many believe to be Israel.
And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. Rev 12:14 KJV

So what will be the role of the US before the Second Coming? An uncooperative force? A destroyed world power? An Israeli ally? This is still unclear.

As we can see, Daniel’s dream shows us the nations that would be on earth just before the return of Jesus to this earth to setup His kingdom.

1. The Knowledge Explosion:- The first road sign confirming that we are the terminal generation is recorded by Daniel: "But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase" (Dan.12:4, emphasis added).
The literal translation of this scripture indicates that the terminal generation will experience a knowledge explosion. From the Garden of Eden until A.D. 1900 men walked or rode horses just as King David and Julius Caesar. In the span of a few years, mankind invented the automobile, the jet plane, and the space shuttle. It is evidenced by the information superhighway and medical science.

2. Plague in the Middle East:- The prophet Zechariah had a vision and didn't know how to describe what he saw, so he called the gruesome results a plague. This plague was sent to all who came to fight against Jerusalem in the last days. The plague would consume a man's flesh while he was yet standing. His eyes would dissolve in his sockets and his tongue would dissolve in his mouth. (Zech 14:12-15).
This plague was a mystery for generations. And then the atomic bomb was invented. An atomic bomb can produce a temperature of 150 million degrees Fahrenheit in one millionth of a second. This is how a man's tongue and eyes can be consumed before his corpse hits the ground.

3. The Rebirth of Israel:- Every major prophet in the Old testament testified that God would bring the Jewish people out of their Gentile graves (Gentile nations) and bring them back to Israel before the coming of the Lord.
Israel was born in one day as prophesied in Isaiah 66:7-8, on May 14, 1948

4. The Jews will Return Home:- The Jews from the north country (Russia) have returned to Israel by the tens of thousands as have Jewish people from around the globe. We have seen them on television newscasts disembarking from planes in Tel Aviv. The prophet Jeremiah spoke of this in Jer 23:7-8

5. Jerusalem No Longer Under Gentile Rule:- According to Bible prophecy Jerusalem will not be under Gentile rule in the terminal generation. The Jews did not control the Holy City from A.D. 70 when the Romans attacked the city and destroyed the temple until the Six-Day War of 1967. Jesus said Jerusalem will be "trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled" (Luke 21:24)

6. International Instant Communication:- John describes two witnesses who will be executed and their dead bodies would be seen three-and-a-half days lying in the streets of Jerusalem by peoples, tribes, tongues and nations, (Rev 11:3, 7-10). For generations Bible scholars questioned how these two witnesses could be seen at the same time by all the earth. Then came television and international satellites.

7. Days of Deception:- Jesus warned, "Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name.......and will deceive many......For false Christs and false prophets will arise and show great signs and wonders, so as to deceive if possible, even the elect" (Matt. 24:4, 5, 24). New age theories and philosophies are deception. Satanism and the occult are deception. The apostate church, which has a form of godliness but denies the power of God, is practicing deception.

8 Famines, Pestilences & Earthquakes:- Matthew 24 states, “And there will be famines, pestilences and earthquakes in various places.” We have HIV, AIDS, Ebola, and killer viruses like swine flu and bird flu to name a few. Famines all over the world and more earthquakes than since the beginning of time. In the Bible, God repeatedly used earthquakes to achieve His divine purposes, including at the resurrection of Christ.

4. Who are the two witnesses? The two witnesses are prophets who will preach with great power and release God’s judgments against the Antichrist’s empire in the Great Tribulation.
5. Who is the prince who is to come of Daniel 9:26? He is the Antichrist who makes a covenant with many nations including Israel (Dan. 9:27).
6. Who is the beast in Revelation 13:1-8? He is the Antichrist
7. Why the Antichrist is called the beast? His character is like a wild animal. He will be unreasonable, ferocious, cruel and without reason or mercy. The term beast is used thirty-six times to describe the Antichrist (Rev. 11:7; 13:1, 2, 3, 4, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 18; 14:9, 11; 15:2; 16:2, 10, 13; 17:3, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 17; 19:19, 20; 20:4, 10)
8. What are the ten horns? The horns speak of a future ten-nation confederation that will work closely with the Antichrist in the End Times (Rev. 17:11-13, 17).
9. Who is the other beast in Rev. 13:11? He is the false prophet.
10. Who are the 144,000 of Revelation 7 and 14? The 144,000 are ethnic Jews that are sealed to be protected from God’s judgments in the Book of Revelation.
11. What are the seven thunders of Revelation 10? They are seven prophetic messages that the Lord will strategically reveal to the end-time Church. They have been sealed up until the End Times like some of Daniel’s prophetic words (Dan. 12:9).
12. What does it mean to believe in the pre-tribulation rapture? Pre means before so to be pre-trib means one believes that Christians will be raptured before the Great Tribulation begins. We believe that Scripture does not support the pre-tribulation rapture of the Church.
13. What does it mean to believe in the post-tribulation rapture? Since post means after, to believe in the post-tribulation rapture means you believe Christians will be raptured at the end of the Great Tribulation at the Second Coming of Jesus. The Bible explicitly teaches this. After describing the Great Tribulation in Matthew 24:15-26, Jesus states when believers will be raptured in Matthew 24:29-31.
14. What is the mark of the beast? The False Prophet causes all to receive a public mark on the right hand or forehead (Rev. 13:8; 14:9-12; 15:2; 16:2; 17:8; 19:20; 20:4). No one may buy or sell (basic necessities of life such as food, electricity, etc.) except one who has the mark. Economic survival will be the issue. To refuse the mark is to be refused all benefits of the social institutions.
15. What is the harlot Babylon? It is an evil system that will function as the center of worldwide demonic religious and economic networks, preparing the earth to receive the Antichrist (Isa. 13-14; 21; Jer. 50-51; Rev. 17-18).
16. What is the time of Jacob’s trouble (Jer. 30:7)? This refers to the Great Tribulation immediately preceding Israel's national salvation. Both Daniel and Jesus refer to this time as the greatest time of trouble that Israel will ever know (Dan. 12:1; Mt. 24:21-22).
17. When will the resurrection take place? The Bible describes two resurrections at the end of the age. Believers will rise at the time of Jesus’ coming, at the seventh trumpet (Lk. 14:14; 1 Cor. 15:52; 1 Thes. 4:5-18; Rev. 11:15; 20:4-5). These resurrected saints will rule with Jesus for 1,000 years as He restores all things (Rev. 2:26-27; 20:4-6). The "rest of the dead" will rise at the end of the Millennial Kingdom for judgment (Rev. 20:5).
18. Are hell and the lake of fire the same place? No. hell is the temporary place where unbelievers go until the final judgment takes place after the Millennial Kingdom in Revelation 20:15. The lake of fire is the final place of judgment for the Antichrist, False Prophet, Satan, demons and all unbelievers (Rev. 20:15). Unbelievers will take part in the resurrection of condemnation (Jn. 5:29), enduring eternal torment of body and soul
