Politics / Re: Fuel Subsidy: After Seven Years, Buhari Transfers Burden To Successor by captainamiedi1: 8:06am On Jan 29, 2022
mfm04622:
Buhari disappointed me in this fuel subsidy issue!

There is no subsidy on diesel used in industries to produce alternative power and for long distance transport. We are used to it.
There is no subsidy in kerosene used by the poor in the cities, nobody is crying!
There is no subsidy on gas used by the rich to cook, to produce power but both GENCO and lucky companies, there is no issue.
Why is there fear Nigerians will die if hunger if PMS is not subsidized?
Cameroon, Niger, Chad are all our neighbors. They are all producing countries. None of them is subsidizing PMS. Ghana is oil producing, no subsidy
Our neighbors depends on cheaper PMS smuggled from Nigeria! In reality, Nigeria is subsidizing PMS for all our neighbors! This is not sustainable!

The answer is in politics. APC will not lose their chance to remain in power. Removal of fuel subsidy, will trigger violence campaign from opposition.

Fuel is use by every Nigeria. Increase in fuel means increase in transportation and increase in price of goods and virtually everything. Initially it will be though but as time goes by, it will be a normal thing but the question is which party has the balls to do it?

You want APC to remove subsidy 1 year to election? They are not stupid like GEJ PDP. APC would do anything to remain in power. They don't care about you.

We are the leaders we produce. The leaders didn't fall from hell. The leave among us. The leaders are the true reflection of the average Nigerians. Good don't produce bad. Bad citizens produce bad leaders. Let the change start from all of us. We can keep accusing the leaders but who gave them the power? Who worship and praise them? Until we tell ourselves the truth, we aren't going anywhere.

I hope you can differentiate a deadbeat father from one without economic means? I've seen many women mislead their children that their poor father was deadbeat when in fact he didn't have the means. If a woman is the one providing for the home, she most times rub it on everyone's face and diminish the worth of her partner in the eyes of her children.

what if the father is not making an effort to help. Everybody they hustle when the father refuse to hustle, what do you call sure man?

Don't mind them.

If a man lives home on Monday and comes back Friday night, how does that prove he is sacrificing for his family? Some men do hard labor but they don't even take proper care of their family.

Deadbeat moms exist quite alright but we have more irresponsible fathers. That's a fact! Most women would be with their kids through thick and thins but it's shameful that some men would take to their heels. I don’t even know where these men come from, so irresponsible and later on in life they'd wine like little children when their children prefer their mothers. Whereas, they chose other things over their family while they were younger.

Then they'll turn around to blame the woman for turning the children against them. Do you think children are fools?

You are right. The woman went tru alot. i grew up watching my dad steal my mom's money. He beats up my mom and heap all his misfortune on her. He goes about looking for hardworking women to feed him. In all these mom still remain simply because he wants to stay for her children. when we are all grown, we had to separate them because of the physical assault she get from the man. I am still angry with him. i haven't set my eyes on him for 2 years now. we only talk on phone once once. he is too shy to ask for for anything.

You say you have a dead beat father and don't care about him, that he never paid for your school or buy food. Is that what your mother told you? Look here bro, what goes arround always comes arround, sebi you'll soon become a father and years from now when you wife replays what your mother did to your father to you, then you will understand!!!!

shut the f**k up. if you don't kwn the story you ask questions. Nobody told me shit. i grew up to see it. i sold pure water in the holdup just to buy school uniform and books. i carry block and concrete just to buy basic things. i watch my mom do all sort of job just to provide food and pay school fees. i did farm work just to keep life moving. Nobody told me shit. in all these, baba never turn up he said he is not born to do all these kind of job. My mother and sibling fought so hard to break out of poverty. Thank God we did.

Provide for them. dont be a dead beat father. Always be there for them. even if their mother tell lies about you to them, one day, they will know the truth. i have a dead beat father and i don't about him. he manage the little from my mom. he has never paid my school nor buy food. he would reap where he didn't sow. we have open a shop for my mom. last December i gave her 90k. i gave my dad no money. it was my mom that gave him 10k from her 90k.

The children are not stupid they see all the effort of the parents. you don't drink away ur life and expect so much from me

my question is why we Africans the must religious countries are back ward in term of development and must of the Western less or even no religion are well developed? what are we Africans are not doing right?

Technology and development has nothing to do with religion. under development is one factor that has made religion strive in Africa. Development has everything to do with the government vision. GMB is 6 years now, how much has he invested in technology development? how many percentage of our budget is been given to Education? it all starts from quality education. so it's easy to blame the pastors but it's the govt that make them important. most of the things we are praying for in Africa, is a right of every citizen in a developed nation
