Yes this is what we expected. You'll also complain and say Tinubu couldn't do anything for his region. Seven irrigation dams in the Southwest will boost the economy of that region which in turn will rub off on all parts of the country. Breaking News!!!💥💥 Rivers Assembly Declares Pro-Fubara Lawmakers’ Seats Vacant The Rivers State House of Assembly led by Rt.Hon. Martin Amaewhule has declared the seats of Hon. Ehie Edison (Ahoada East Constituency II, Hon. Victor Oko Jumbo(Bonny Constituency) Hon. Sokari Goodboy Sokari( Ahoada West Constituency and Hon. Adolphus Orubienimigha( Opobo Nkoro Constituency) vacant following their absence from sittings for 152 days. Making this known during plenary today, Speaker Martin Amaewhule pointed out that Ehie did not properly write to inform the house of his new office, and as such his seat has been declared vacant. Regarding Victor Oko-Jumbo and the two others, the House held three separate votes to declare their seats vacant for absenteeism from sitting for 152 days consecutively without notification or permission, in violation of the 1999 constitution. The Assembly further agreed to write to INEC to conduct elections to replace the now vacant seats within 90 days to provide representation for their people.

A death has been recorded in Ward 5 in Etche local government area of Rivers state based on the ongoing council elected which wws boycotted by the PDP and APC in the state amidst a court ruling that prohibited the police from giving security to the election and also INEC from releasing voters register to RISIEC. Unconfirmed information has it that the person killed is a member of the local vigilante in Etche known as ESPAC. The vigilante group was recently empowers by the CTC chairman for this election |

The All People's Party, APP in Rivers State has dismissed the viral online list of its chairmanship candidates for the October 5 local government elections. APP National Vice Chairman for the South South, Kenneth Atata, tells our correspondent that the party has conducted its primaries for chairmanship and councillorship positions since August and is yet to release the official candidates’ list. There are whispers amongst political supporters of Rivers state Governor Siminialayi Fubara as there are serious indications of his defection to the Action Peoples' Party as his Chief of Staff, Hon. Ehie Edison donates his personal property at the GRA area of Port Harcourt to house the party's state secretariate. He was amongst the members of the conference of speakers of states houses of assembly.
