PACIONS: As an educator, I believe this idea can help if it is done the right way.
Drug abuse is becoming too common among young people today. Many students are losing focus in school because of bad friends, depression, poor guidance, and problems at home. This is affecting education and the future of Nigeria.
But schools must not treat students like criminals. Schools should help students grow, learn, and become better people. So I support the counselling and rehabilitation part more than punishment.
Parents, teachers, government, religious leaders, and society must work together to guide young people early before drugs destroy their future.
At the same time, government must also improve education, create opportunities, support skills, sports, innovation, and mental health programs for students. An idle youth can easily be misled.
Nigeria needs a strong and responsible young generation for the future.
simpleseyi: . While being an ordinary Nigerian on the streets with no political position, Tinubu kicked out Jonathan and installed his boys Buhari and Osinbajo, is it now that Tinubu holds the yam and the knife that Jonathan can remove him? You need a thorough self assessment, are you medically okay?
Shivisee1: If not for delusion and trauma! I did my research on obi and kwankwaso, I realise that he is a way better administrator, more detribalize, more educated than obi. Say both of them are coming out for election, will obi see half of kwankwaso”s vote ??
Both of them came out for 2023 Presidential election.
Even after marriage, my wife and I still don't wear uniform dressing. What's in the mind is more important than dressing. The problem we have in this country is more important than what they wear.
Can you read the bolded statement? When I said he went to waybill the parcel before he was caught, you people were busy arguing instead of digging up facts. It's sentiments, gullibility and hypocrisy that will be the end of Nigerians.
Relax. The focus should be on the police officer killing an unarmed and already secured innocent Nigerian.
givedemwotowoto: You can see from the comments section that the people, the voters themselves, are disappointed with the move.
This may turn out to be a big mistake if Atiku doesn't win, unless he did it to retain Atiku's funding for his governorship ambition, or perhaps he has been promised Senate President if Atiku runs with someone outside the SE.
He has probably invested much in the ADC too. Everybody knows from onset that Obi will most likely leave. He has just been floating with them hoping that ADC will zone it to the south as the Presidency is still the turn of the South.
Obi only exercise his constitutional right to associate. Anyone contesting under ADC will be risking disqualification because the ultimate joker is in the hands of the Judiciary which APCi and IMEC appears to control. The whole lawfares are to ensure key opposition figures cannot compete or come under one single platform.
Atiku will most likely contest under PRP with Seyi Makinde or Amaechi as his running mate.
Lovelink1991: Peter Obi is always conscious of wherever he is and where he is going. He hit the gyms but before leaving he has to erase all his finger print for security reasons.
Sorry, how old are you? Don't carry this your uncultured mentality travel abroad ooo. Don't you know you clean/wipe your sweat off every equipment after use. It's the simple respect you are expected to accord to other users. I'm sure a notice to that effect will be posted in that gymnasium.
People like you will use public toilet and not flush because you think it's the janitor's duty to clean the toilet.
You deserve to be flogged for this your reasoning.
adekolaelect: Na condemnation dey give you joy . Every institutions need an experienced officers to be incharge of leadership. This should not be the party or politics things but common sense.
Part of what you said is undeniable correct. No doubt experience matters.
What we are saying is that it doesn't need to be codified into rules. It can be left as a practice/norms Just as we have an unwritten agreement between the North and South to rotate Presidency every 8years.
Absolutely nobody can stop anyone from defaulting on the rule if anyone wishes to go against it. This senate rule is null and void as it is inconsistent with the constitution and the rights of every elected parliamentarian.
These ones are gearing up to make life difficult for any incoming President other than the incumbent.
If the president comes from any other party, he will have to deal with these current rubber stamp Senate leaders from APC. They definitely will make things difficult for him.
All these dirty politics MUST stop. This doesn't serve the interest of the masses. They are simply just after their own interest.
DeOTR: No problem since you've based rent only on fuel price. He should increase it by 2000% then since that will solve all his problems.
We are a monolithic economy - heavily rely on oil and gas. You should know that by now. Oil controls every sector of our economy.
I don't know which sector you operate or work at but if you check your current operating cost, you would agree with me that it has gone up too. And definitely more than 108%.
So let's be honest with ourselves and be fair on Landlords. We should take the blame back to the government that removed subsidy without a robust backup/cushion plans.
We need a paradigm shift of the economy from consumption to production. It's the only sustainable pathway for the country. I pray Nigeria will be OK.
DeOTR: But the landlord didn't buy the cement he used at N12500, did he? Or is he planning any renovations?
The Landlord access the same market as you and everyone else. His children attends the same school as every one else. Inflation hits him just like every one else. Food prices increase affects him as everyone else. Hospital bill increase affects him as everyone else.
If Nigerian government could increase petrol pump price by 1631% within 4years, an increase of just 100% in house rent by the Landlord is fairly reasonable. Think about it very well.
