DEAR NYSC,
It is really a privilege to serve my country one year after graduating from the university through your respectable and reputable organisation.

I have to applaud the fact that NYSC has been running a long
time now in this country! And the fact that we get posted to strange states (or state of your choice if you are lucky or your parents know somebody who knows somebody) for a whole year; with the option of
redeployment. Some people end up relocating to their state of deployment while some even meet their spouse!

Straight to the point, I graduated from the university over 8 months ago! I, along with a lot of graduates around the country, have been unemployed for this LONG while and those who are employed earn peanuts (except your parents know somebody that knows somebody or your parents ARE the somebody). Jobs wouldn’t take you if you haven’t completed your NYSC while other jobs wouldn’t even take you while you are doing

NYSC! So we all decided to wait
patiently till February when we will serve, Hoping that by February next year we would be done and we wouldn’t have passed employment age.
That February became March 2nd
That March 2nd became (after one or two changes) March 30th. And that march 30th became April 1st!!!

I wanted to be naïve when just yesterday; a friend said you might be playing an April fool prank on us. BUT ALAS!!! IT WAS A PRANK!!!
APRIL 1st BECAME APRIL 27!!! (Which was the initial time stream II was meant to have ended).

This has hurt the feelings of a lot of
students around the country, worse there has been no apology or statement from NYSC explaining why there has been so much adjustment to the timetable.

Please some of us are getting old and we are tired of staying at home doing nothing or going to workplaces where our DEGREE is
valid because we have not served our country via NYSC.

Since the National assembly has deemed it fit to pass the budget which, from our investigation, is the main reason for the disastrous postponement of the 2016 batch orientation course cum deployement.

We hereby appeal to the NYSC to as a matter of urgency readjust the mobilization timetable.

This will go a long way in restoring calm and the spirit of patriotism cum nationalism which fast becoming history among the rank and file of Nigeria youths.
We expect a quick and positive reply.

Long live Nigeria.

Good day Citizens.. It is no longer a news that the budget has been passed. Now, Nysc has no reason whatsoever to justify the shift in date..
I believe now is the time for us to press our demand. Now is the time that our demand seems logical..
I don't know if you are tired of staying at home but I am. And I'm pretty sure most of us are. So,let's start our online protest... let us start tweeting, posting , sharing and commenting.. let us go to Facebook, twitter, , blogs etc.

In my own humble opinion, the Nysc should kuku allow both streams to go on April 27...
Also, it will be better if someone can write to them and make our complain official..

Was a test conducted before assigning them!!?? It is not about 2-1or 1st class... It is about what you can offer.
However, Nysc should pls investigate.
