Edo PDP wishes to let Edo People know that there has been enough time for the INEC to start announcing the ward results. Voting stopped at 2pm and votes were counted immediately at the unit levels. From results made available to us we are in a very comfortable lead. We are however shocked that till now no ward result has been declared. We are aware that APC and INEC plan to change the result at the collation centre and we wish to warn that any change to the result we are already aware of will be met with stiff resistance.

INEC should tell governor Adams Oshiomhole that the changing and swapping of results at the collation center is a no-no! Even worse is the attempt to prevent our agents into the collation centers.

We however advice our supporters and members to remain calm. In a few more hours, the liberation of Edo will be official!

There are strong indications that the thumb-printed ballot papers which had been stuffed in ballot boxes inside the Exco Chambers of the Edo State Government House which was reported earlier in the day has just been driven out of the premises.

PDP sources revealed that it saw the boxes loaded into a Toyota Hilux truck with Registration number Lagos KTU 169 AC. Two other Hilux boxes loaded with ballot boxes are also about to be driven out.

The truck, it was gathered is being escorted by heavily armed Mobile Policemen. The PDP has alerted its agents to be on red alert for the vehicle and its content

In another development, a well-known political thug, Tony Kabaka and his boys have driven PDP agents away from ward 1&2‎, to pave way for the replacemwnt of ballot papers with their fake ones. 

In the same vein, the speaker of the house of Assembly in Ekpon ward, unit 1 ‎sent his boys in collaboration with the Police to destroy the ballot papers. A fresh voting with only APC members has commenced in his house. 

‎The PPD says it calls on the President to call the Police to order, as it seems they have now perfected plans to work with the APC to subvert the wishes of the people. ‎

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has revealed that it has got information that massive thumb-printing of ballot papers and stuffing of ballot boxes are going on inside the Exco Chambers of the Edo State Government House in Benin.nm

The party said it decided to raise the alarm following the mass turnout of Edo indigenes who are all determined to exercise their mandate and choose the next Governor of the Heartbeat of the nation. They would not want these mass of people to be disenfranchised and their effort truncated by a few individuals.

It stated that prominent members of the state exco are co-ordinating the operation and they were monitoring activities to see where these fake votes will eventually end up.

In a related development, five APC Governors are reportedly in Benin City and PDP is wondering what they maybe doing in the state on a critical.election.day like this.One of those spotted is Kaduna Governor, Mallam Nasir El Rufai. The party is wondering if this is not against the anti-corruption stance of the present Buhari-led government.They want the President to call these desperate politicians to order.

Francis Inegbeniki, who was the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial elections in 2015 is at this very moment moving around Uromi with soldiers harassing residents

Reports reaching us said that Inegbeniki has been going from street to street with about ten soldiers and allegedly threatening people not to come out for tomorrow's Gubernatorial elections.

He is warning people that he will not have his own people vote for the PDP candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and disgrace him (Inegbeniki) in his home turf.

We gathered that due to the political influence of Chief Tony Anenih, Uromi is set to go PDP but Inegneniki has vowed not to allow that happen.

There are strong indications that the All Progressives Congress (APC) may not play fair as the 2016 Edo State Gubernatorial elections unfolds tomorrow.

Sources close to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have revealed that the APC plans to.unleash the Directorate of State Security (DSS) which is under its control at the Federal level to harrass and arrest prominent Edo indigenes who have pitched their tent with the opposition

Those who have been penciled down include Chief Tony Anenih, Esama of Benin, Chief Gabriel Igninedion and Chief Tom Ikimi. This news is spreading like wild fire.

It was also gathered that stories making the rounds on the streets is that APC supporters are taunting their PDP friends that they will be wasting time to.go and vote tomorrow because results have already been written in Abuja and that the wnnier has been determined.

Of course the preposterous statement has alarmed the PDP camp.and they have vowed to non'violently protect their votes and ensure that they turnout massively for their candidate, Pastor Osaze Ize-Iyamu

There are strong indications that the opponents of Aenate President Dr. Bukola Saraki have become desperate and have changed their tactics having been unable to intimidate his colleagues to remove him.
Sources indicate that plans have reached an advance stage to organize a series of protests using Nigerian students to create the impression that Nigerians in Diaspora want Saraki out.
The story is that a former Student Union leader who had to run away from the University of Lagos over some untoward activities and now Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore is the one allegedly being used for this latest anti-Saraki onslaught.

Michael Wetkas, a detective of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Tuesday denied knowledge of the contents of a petition he tendered as evidence against Senate President Bukola Saraki at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).

The petition, which is marked “Exhibit 11″, was written by a group known as Kwara Freedom Network, alleging corruption against Saraki.

While being cross-examined by Kanu Agabi, Saraki’s lead counsel, Wetkas said he was not involved in the investigation of the petition he tendered as evidence at the tribunal.

Regarding whether he confirmed that local government funds were being illegally deducted as alleged in the petition against Saraki, he said:

“Not part of the investigation I carried out.”

“Do you know whether the petition was addressed to the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB),” Agabi asked.

“I don’t work for the CCB. I wouldn’t know.”

Agabi: “In terms illegal transfer of funds by the accountant general, was he invited?”

Wetkas: “I cannot say because I was not the one in charge of this.”

Agabi: “Did you know if this exhibit was referred to him for an answer?

Wetkas: “I wouldn’t know, but he was once invited.”

Agabi: “Did you meet with the members of Kwara Freedom Network?”

Wetkas: “It was not part of my investigation.”

Agabi: “In the course of your work, did you come upon any document in which members of this network were called upon to justify their petition.”

Wetkas: “I was involved in this investigation in 2014; the petition was in 2012.”

Agabi: “Have you read the petition?”

“I only perused through it.”

Agabi: “When you tendered this document, did it occur to you that you will be questioned?”

Wetkas: “This is not the aspect I investigated. Someone more competent than me will talk about it.”

Agabi: “Did your perusal show that the asset declaration of the defendant was the issue.”

Wetkas: “I can’t remember seeing that.”

When asked if he obtained the statements of the petitioners, the EFCC detective said he did not know.

Agabi: “Did you obtain any statement from the defendant on this petition?”

Wetkas: “It was not part of my investigation. I didn’t investigate this aspect of the petition. There are people who are more competent to talk about it.”

Agabi: “Exhibit 11 (the petition) is not addressed to the CCB. No action was taken for four years after exhibit 11 was received?”

Wetkas: “I cannot say that. I didn’t investigate exhibit 11.”

The trial has been adjourned till Wednesday 20th of April 2016

#Panamapapers: TINUBU’S main man, Folly Coker’s £1.6m Chelsea home exposed
Folarin Coker fondly called Folly Coker is one of the Nigerians whose name has been thrown up by the Panama Papers Scandal.
Now the story is that Folly who is one of the main men of All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu bought a house in Chelsea for £1.65m using s shell company based in the British Virgin Islands known as Satori Holdings.
For those who do not know, Folly, a real man about town who loves to party hard, used to work with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu when he was Governor as Deputy Chief of Staff at that time, current Nigerian Minister, Babatunde Fashola, SAN was the Chief of Staff.
When Tinubu left, Folly Coker still retained in the top echelon of Lagos State Government as Special Adviser and for many years he was in charge of number plate production company in Lagos.
According to the Guardian UK, when the Journalists who investigated the story contacted Coker, his lawyers responded said he had declared his interest in Satori to Nigerian authorities insisting that he has multiple sources of income and therefore can afford to buy such a property.
In Lagos, who was one of those tipped to become a Lagos Governor because of his closeness to Asiwaju Tinubu is currently in the Lagos State Cabinet as Commissioner of Tourism.
His known businesses include a fun spot la case which has since close down but has a branch at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, and shares in Robert’s Café, a hangout for Lagos celebrities.
