Politics / Nnamdi Kanu Accuses “yoruba Media” Of Complicity, Asks Nigerians To Join IPOB by Captianfrank: 5:14pm On Jul 13, 2019
The Killing of the daughter to PA Fasoranti, the Afenifere leader, by men believed to be Fulani Herdsmen has been generating reactions from So many Prominent Nigerians.

The Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) , Nnamdi Kanu has also reacted to the incident in a Press Release.

In the Press Release, Nnamdi Kanu accused The Yoruba Controlled media of conspiracy of silence in the face of illegality.

He also called on Nigerians from South West and Middle Belt to join IPOB in their quest for Freedom.

See Below for the Full Press Release;

FULANI JIHAD: ACTION IS BETTER THAN WORDS OF FURY.

BY MAZI NNAMDI KANU(LEADER IPOB)

The brazen terror attack on Yoruba soil by Fulani terrorists yesterday must not go unanswered. Let the murder of the daughter of Afenifere Chairman Funke Fasoranti Olakunrin by Fulani terrorists be another sombre but timely reminder to the great Yoruba race and their media in particular that supporting evil has its unintended consequences.

I hate to say it but this sad incident goes to underscore the prediction I made long ago – that this Govt of Nigeria as constituted from 2015 is a murderous Fulani Wahabbi cabal on a Jihadi mission to terrorise, subjugate and enslave everybody unfortunate enough to be part of the British colonial experiment gone mad called Nigeria.

I specifically warned the Yoruba race and their dominant media that supporting Fulani atrocities against Biafra and suppression of the truth about the true identity of Jubril Aminu Al-Sudani because of Tinubu’s 2023 presidential ambition will not only be counter-productive but will turn around to consume them. They called me a merchant of hate speech.

Today I ask them, what is happening?

Politics / Over N30 Billion Worth Of Vehicles Wasting In Customs by Captianfrank: 3:45pm On Jul 13, 2019
Thousands of seized vehicles estimated to cost about N30 billion are currently wasting away at various warehouses of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) nationwide as bidders prospect for the opportunity to buy them on the e-auction platform.

It was learnt that the vehicles, including exotic brands and top models, were either abandoned by importers or seized from smugglers across the borders, seaports and other locations.

Among those sighted according to reports are Mercedes Benz G wagon and various Mercedes Benz 4matic models, Hummer, Mercedes Benz, Range Rover Evolution, Ford Edge, Toyota Land Cruiser, Highlander, Toyota Hilux, various models of Lexus, Porsche cars and a host of other sport utility vehicles (SUVs) from Ford and Toyota brands. There were also a variety of trucks, salon cars and buses.

The seized vehicles, many of which have reportedly gone through the process of court condemnation and are awaiting auction, are detained at the border stations, seaport commands and at the Federal Operation Units (FOU) in Lagos, Owerri, Benin, Bauchi, Kaduna and Kano.

The Comptroller-General of the NCS, Hameed Ali, had introduced an e-auction platform (app.trade.gov.ng/e-auction) on July 3rd, 2017, which recorded little progress due to some glitches being experienced with digital technology.

The last phase of the auction had only 806 vehicles uploaded on the platform and bought by 753 bidders. It generated about N346.1 million. Another phase began late May this year, but it was reported that it did not last one month before it was shut. At present, the e-auction process has stalled, due to the banks’ e-wallet challenges.

Customs Public Relations Officer, Deputy Comptroller Joseph Attah, confirmed that the banks’ e-wallet challenges posed difficulties for bidders in making payment.

“The e-auction is active and still on. Just that bidders at a point were experiencing difficulties in making payments through the e-wallet. The CGC had a meeting with the managing directors of the affected banks who promised to sort out the challenges at their own end. Uploading will continue immediately the banks are ready,” he said.

Attah had earlier told newsmen that some of the vehicles in their custody were due for auction, while others were still undergoing court processes.

“It’s not everything that you see there that must be auctioned. There are several conditions that are keeping some of them. There are those whose cases are still in court, and we have no right to auction them. We don’t have control over the court, and we don’t know how long the cases will take,” he stated

Politics / You Can’t Win Any War Again, Against Biafra – Afenifere Warns Northerners by Captianfrank: 10:00am On Jul 13, 2019
The apex Yoruba socio-cultural organisations, Afenifere has warned their counterpart in the north, Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF, against fanning the flames of war in the country.

Afenifere established that ACF’s support for setting up settlements for Fulani herdsmen across Nigeria was another way of calling for war.

The Yoruba organization was reacting to the latest position of the ACF where the Northern group urged those opposed to the setting up of Fulani herdsmen settlements, popularly called Ruga, across the country to drop their opposition and allow the policy take off.

Afenifere, through its spokesman, Yinka Odumakin, told reporters that “these people are praying for war.

“They want to set Nigeria on fire, ablaze. Let us warn them loud and clear, the coalition that fought the civil war between 1967 and 1970 has collapsed forever.

“They should not think that they can go and fight anybody now and win. We know history even in 1967; we know where victory came in that war.

Politics / Governor Umahi Has This To Say About His Commissioners by Captianfrank: 12:59pm On Jul 11, 2019
Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, on Wednesday took a swipe at some members of his former cabinet for allegedly complaining that they were suffering and smiling under the government.

The governor said the commissioners rather than show patriotism and commitment in the discharge of their official duties were busy going from one office to the other, gossiping about him and his administration.

He stated that some of the commissioners at a point became too important as though the government cannot be run without them, stressing that the commissioners will be the last batch of his appointments just to show them that he could run the state without them.

Umahi made the comment during the swearing in of the state Head of service and some senior special assistants to government, which took place at the executive Council chambers, Government House Abakaliki.

He maintained that some of his former commissioners would not be returned but must be effectively accommodated in the government.

He warned his appointees to desist from gossiping and face their works or get ready to be sacked.
