First, I'm not a guy. I'm advertising the vacancy for my sister, who is also NOT A GUY. Second, the only reason you are required to do a test, is to screen out candidates who will not be able to meet up to the required number of words before 5pm. Now I'm pretty sure she is not going to give you a specific topic to write on, she'll probably give you a broad subject to choose a topic from.
Not like I have to explain to you, but even she doesn't know the topics for the day until the morning of the day.

Even you will not employ someone to write for you just because they say they can. Especially when there is a daily target and work still has to be edited before it's uploaded
We're open to your suggestions of alternative ways to test candidates.
