What car in particular, would you like to scan. If you see any scanner out there that does not do transmission like P0700 - P0899 you better throw it away. That is a basic function for car scanners including ours.

When it comes to ABS/AIRBAG the first question i will ask is what is your budget?

This scanner will scan P=Brainbox stored codes
B=body control module codes electronic windows sidemirrors reverse sensors
C=Chasis control module codes (Airbag/ABS)

If the vehicle does not give out these codes then you may need an advance machine to do it. We also have them see this link below

Yes it includes the USB interface(HARDWARE) that connects under your steering(a special port called OBD2) then to your Laptop.

@Soloesco When it comes to Nissan "service engine soon" means check engine light. Your mechanic is funny so he saw it and he went to service the car, "Nigerian mechanics Na God go save us" He is supposed to use a scanner and scan the car after scanning he should then fix the result of the scan. We advice people to get their own scanners so that they can scan their cars first before and after taken their car to the mechanic

1) You will be in the position to tell the mechanic what exactly to fix (Stop Their Guess Work)
2) After the car is returned to you scan it again to make sure they did not destroy anything in the process.

Handhelds will only show the code and maybe the definition but no how to fix it.
However handhelds dont need laptop. but then you cant print or easily save the fault for later use.
