Yes it clears the check engine light from your dashboard instantly. This is a basic function with most OBD2 scanners i am yet to see one that can only scan wow..

Okay the fact that it clears the check engine light does not mean that the issue has been solved, if you do not for example use our internal database to see how to repair the car and then proceed to repair what actually caused the check engine light to flag up in the first case then, the light may come back on again.

So the procedure is this please follow this even if your car is brand new.

Step1 : Scan your car and write down any dtc codes you get and erase the codes from your brain-box(ECU)

Step2 : Check our database of how to fix the problem

Step3 : Proceed to your Auto-repair or spare-part shop as the case may be.

Step4 : Fix the issue with a mechanic or service technician

Step5: Test Drive the Car and watch if the check-engine light re-appears if so repeat step 1-5 again
