PoliticsRe: Is President Yar'adua Dead? by carmelily: 9:59am On Sep 04, 2008
Musa Yar’Adua yesterday described reports of his rumoured death as “grossly exaggerated”.
He says the rumours of his death were "grossly exaggerated". meaning, him die small? i should think he might want to say they are outright lies!

Foreign AffairsRe: Palin's (McCain's Vice) Teenage Daughter Pregnant by carmelily: 4:17pm On Sep 03, 2008
Lindsay Lohan Calls Bristol Palin Teen Pregnancy "Distracting"

I’ve been watching the news all morning, like everyone else - and I keep hearing about the issues related to ‘teen pregnancy’- It’s all related to Sarah Palin and her 17-year-old unmarried pregnant daughter. Well, I think the real problem comes from the fact that we are taking the focus off of getting to know Sarah Palin and her political views, and what she can do to make our country a less destructive place. Its distracting from the real issues, the real everyday problems that this country experiences.

“I am concerned with the fact that Sarah Palin brought the attention to her daughter’s pregnancy, rather than all world issues and what she believes she could possibly do to change them-if elected. I get Sarah Palin’s views against abortion, but i would much prefer to hear more about what she can do for our country rather than how her daughter is going to have a child no matter what. Maybe focus on delivering some words and policy with stronger impact like Joe Biden.”

On another note-the last note- i heard a woman say on TODAY on NBC that teens are feeling as if they have to grow up faster. Really? Because, i think that girls that are CHOOSING to be sexually active and are making a conscious decision to grow up faster,  I think that parents need to recognize how important it is to talk to their children about the things that can result from being sexually active if they aren't protecting themselves (birth control, condoms, etc.)
@sisikill

true, true, world wan end! was Lindsay Lohan sober enough to say all this? Mccain should have chosen her as VP. Palin strikes me as a bumbling attention-seeker.

i did read where u said u're skinny. so i know u are. and by "where are u coming from?", i meant "what do u mean?". it's an expression. besides,, i already assumed u were naija.

i think heidi klum or kate moss are skinny (as opposed to slim, as u describe) and none (or at least, most do not)  of your don't's apply to them. anyway, u say they are not your opinions, so you don't have to defend them smiley, sha

downloading it even as we speak. i just hope the task manager works better than IE's.

hanen:
Its awesome, I'm using it now. I especially love the task manager, and the ability to ISOLATE what's dragging the browser/cpu. There's nothing more annoying than having to crash the entire browser (full of opened tabs BTW) because of some flash plugin ONE page.
i discovered a trick to this problem. don't touch anything, just let things be for a minute or so when the browser drags and everything (all tabs) is restored to working order smiley

FashionRe: The Ups And The Downs Of A Skinny Girl. by carmelily: 9:08am On Sep 03, 2008
now to the topic. what do you count as skinny? i'm 5ft 4, 36-27-38 and i've been described as skinny. but none of your downs is a down for me. i don't have any "potholes" in my neck, i hate necklaces except when they are very long or are chokers, and neither could cover "potholes"! There are skinny celebs everywhere you turn and i'm flattered that they spend so much money and try so hard to look like ME! kiss

heels make my legs look longer as i wear long jeans/slacks to cover the heels partway but not reach the floor. i wear baggy trousers that are a little hip-hugging and straight cut and i look fab, if i should say so myself. i love body-hugging clothes. other than my suits and some traditional wear, all my clothes are body-hugging!

i could go on and on, like i don't look hungry AT ALL. even a fat person could look hungry! where exactly are u coming from, sister? angry
