I really do not understand the stand of the people who claim Ribadu went after OBJ's political opponents. They may help me understand their viewpoint better by addressing these questions as honestly as possible. 1. Did Ribadu find any innocent person guilty? or better yet, were any of those people he caught actually innocent of the charges against them? 2. Why didn't Ribadu go after Buhari, OBJ's most avowed political opponent? 3. Were all those 419 boys OBJ's political opponents? 4. Weren't OBJ's staunch supporters (e.g Ibori) who were guilty also hounded and brought to book? 5. Has any other figure in the history of Nigeria actively fought against corruption using government resources like Ribadu? 6. Has any other government official in the history of Nigeria mentioned the names of sacred cows and evil geniuses so openly and fought to bring them to book even when the odds were against him and at obvious risk to his life? 7. Has any other Nigerian been so successful at recovering stolen funds (with successes acknowledged at home and abroad)? 8. Can any of Ribadu's faultfinders do a better job? 9. Can any of his accusers on Nairaland cite another Nigerian that should have been given Ribadu's post and why? 10. Is EFCC more effective today without Ribadu? Please help me understand o! |

Oats:So totally not true. he wouldnt have ANYTHING to say if your hair was in its natural state with a KINKY weaveHe said NO WEAVE, ok? and its hard to transition back to natural, especially if you know nothing about it. You also lose your hair lengthEasier than you think. I did it. SOME OF US DO THE RELAXER THING SUBCONSIOUSLYhuh? AND i don't frequent those asian shops, if someone is going to get rich off of me, trust me that person will be black, & black women don't be fooled just becuase they have a black girl working for them, or behind the counter that the shop is owneed by blacks! its not and asians hate youIt's still Asian hair you're buying!! ![]() now men if you do see a woman with her natural hair, tell her out looks nice, the bravery, strength and courage it takes to wear it out, not putting a weave or wig ober it, you would not believeyou're right about the complimenting part. But going natural is not as hard as you say at all! |
@congoshine You still on my case when you know you shouldn't be? ![]() That makes two of us e dey teach me wetin be admin lol. funny JUVE! this is all i asked - 15 of the 19 9-11 suspects were Saudis . . . imagine if an angry Fox journalist stoned King Fahd with his shoe in Washington . . .@Davidylan If a FOX news reporter threw his shoes at King Fahd, the Saudi government will make him an honorary member of the royal family. Complete with the outrageously obscene allowances the royals pay themselves. Saudi Arabian and Egyptian governments are nothing but America's willing a$$ lickers. Ignoring the plight of their weaker, oppressed neighbours. |

abhosts:Tell him o. It just warms my heart and restores my faith in Nigeria to know that we still have true, fearless patriots like Gani. Only completely brainless idiots would disagree with any point he made in this press briefing. May God continue to bless and strengthen and multiply the Ganis, Ribadus, Felas and Akunyilis of this great country. |
JUNK JOURNALISM AT ITS BEST. Like someone pointed out, the British Government can't work that fast to grant or deny asylum. Besides, that's Ibori's paper reporting. Go figure. |
USA 94 Team. No argument. After they lost to Italy because of the Eguavon foul, i lost all taste for Naija football till date. Well, Atlanta '96 almost tempted me back! All hail The Eagles "94 ![]() |

When poorly educated juveniles start taking the priviledge of a forum to insult their elders,it can be quite tiring. Embarrassedoh just shut the phock up. why did u modify your title then? And Oga grammar, it's "shoes" that were thrown, not "shoe". |
something very funny is going on in this thread. ![]() Looks like the Christians, Muslims and Hindus are now on the same team and the Atheists are the "enemies" and children of satan. On some other topic, they would point fingers amongst themselves, trying to say their own sect is the only legitimate one from God and the others devilish. Funny. So now is it agreed that they are all the same and the only ones "already on Satan's side" are the Atheists? ![]() |

"In character and temperament, the typical African of this race-type is a happy, thriftless, excitable person. Lacking in self control, discipline, and foresight. Naturally courageous, and naturally courteous and polite, full of personal vanity, with little sense of veracity, fond of music and loving weapons as an oriental loves jewellery. His thoughts are concentrated on the events and feelings of the moment, and he suffers little from the apprehension for the future, or grief for the past. His mind is far nearer to the animal world than that of the European or Asiatic, and exhibits something of the animals’ placidity and want of desire to rise beyond the State he has reached. Through the ages the African appears to have evolved no organized religious creed, and though some tribes appear to believe in a deity, the religious sense seldom rises above pantheistic animalism and seems more often to take the form of a vague dread of the supernatural" “He lacks the power of organization, and is conspicuously deficient in the management and control alike of men or business. He loves the display of power, but fails to realize its responsibility , he will work hard with a less incentive than most races. He has the courage of the fighting animal, an instinct rather than a moral virtue, In brief, the virtues and defects of this race-type are those of attractive children, whose confidence when it is won is given ungrudgingly as to an older and wiser superior and without envy, Perhaps the two traits which have impressed me as those most characteristic of the African native are his lack of apprehension and his lack of ability to visualize the future." ---Lord Frederick John Dealty Lugard, The Dual Mandate, pg.70 (1926) |
