Nigerian rice is now cheaper than imported rice though it is still a bit expensive...that tells you how much the imported rice is.
I bought a bag of rice today and I'm surprised at the level of progress...the imported rice was still plenty in shops but everyone was buying Nigerian rice.by the time my turn came Nigerian rice was finished.now you see right?

And lastly who is the dimwit that would open the ports to the 'high sea' for competition when we are still trying to get it right and stabilize production and price...or don't you understand the dynamics of competition?

also, the lekki free zone is a very huge investment that has been in inception since 2010...it took a lot of work and from 2010 till now the progress is tremendous and dividends are getting visible. When it finally takes off, Kenya can comfortably take the back seat or at best a supporting role. Facts.

The Nigerian border closure has actually been a blessing waiting to happen. Ghana is actually the second or first biggest casualty in this whole ish.

Most of these companies relocating to Ghana just produce there and only about 30-40 percent of the commodities produced are for the Ghanaian market.every thing else is exported to Nigeria basically because of the available market.
Now the Ghanaian trade union recently voted to ban imports on made in Nigeria goods (correct me if it has been scrapped though) ...this would be their greatest undoing simply because most of these goods are manufactured for the Nigerian market.

Just putting this out there.
