It depends on the purpose of your visit. You have not stated your purpose of visit here. Because of your age, it will take a very strong and convincing travel reason for you to get a visit visa. The VO also looks at your Proof of funds.

Thank you for your response.I am married. My husband refused to re-apply again, since he was denied visa in January.

My son is 7 years and a Nigerian.I also have an American who was not meant to come with them. My mum has her business in Nigeria she dont plan to leave. They were coming for Graduation and visiting.

The reasons stated are as follows:
1,Travel history

2, Purpose of visit

3, Personal asset and financial status.

4, I am not satisfied you have sufficient funds, income & assets to support your purpose in canada or to maintain yourself while in Canada or to effect your departure.

5, You have not provided sufficient documents to support your /your host's income & asset.

Hi, it is best you admit this refusal and explain your concerns in your explanation letter with relevant evidence like the withdrawal mails sent. Best be safe than to be seen as misrepresenting. You can also wait, apply for your case notes and know exactly what had happened. Good luck

Dear cascas, truly in some occasions, when people request to pull their passport and the processing time has well passed, the consulate sometimes just quickly assess it then dispatch. You will have to accept that you have been refused in the forms, however you need to take a complete paragraph in your letter of explanation to explain what happened and attach the refusal letter. Hi, it is tough, though not impossible, to regularize a category V visa because these visas are issued believing you are coming back and any thing otherwise may not be illegal but is not exactly right on a technicality. My advise would be to try one of the express entry schemes. They are pretty straight forward. The challenge in Canada particularly is that even when you try to be 'smart' with this visit visa conversion process, you need to revisit a POE for a work/study permit to be issued of which you will be at the mercy of the assessing CBSA officer and in my experience, they are way tougher than the US CBP. Express entry is your best bet. Best of luck

Hi cascade, ESL would be English as a second language and BC would refer to the province of British Columbia. This is not a good plan sir, stay away from it. My opinion always. Best of luck

Put in for ESL class and later further to University program to apply for study permit.
2. Go volunteer in a farm in BC or Alberta,If you can impress the farm owner with your committment volunteering,he can find you employment in Agricultural Stream and file your LMIA. But you will need to come back to Nigeria to apply for your work permit and re-enter if you did not overstayed while volunteering .

I saw seomthing of this nature too on linkedin. Somebody was telling people not to apply to their job postings. And that they have recruited different persons for a particular role and those persons resigned or were sent packing.
