Health / Re: Anti-malarial Medicine Blocked My Hearing by Caseless: 12:30pm On Dec 24, 2023
Whizzdom:
On Tuesday (21-12-2023), I was having serious fever, so went to buy an over-the-counter malaria drug and one flu tablet. The lady chemist told me to use 4 tablets in the morning and 4 in the afternoon for the malaria drug, but for the Flu medicine, I should use 1 tablet in the morning and at night. I took 4 tablets in the afternoon that day. On the next day, which is Wednesday, I took 4 tablets making 8 tablets in total plus 1 Flu tablet, A few hours after I took that medicine, I felt a sharp pain in my left hear, after which the pain subsided.

I am Welder by profession, I went to work that same moment, at work, I was using a grinding machine to grind iron to make iron smooth, the machine makes noise, but this day, as I was grinding, I could feel something in my brain or inner ear bringing buzzing sound or noise into my ear, after grinding that iron, I couldn't ear anything, all I was hearing is just noise.

The next day, which is today Thursday, I could hear people speak but they have to be loud, and my ears can't tolerate noise at all.

To go hospital hard me because I no gallant because of the series of test they will have me run which will expend my money I don't have.

My question is to the learned health practitioners in the house, should I give it time for it to heal on its own or I should go to the hospital for doctor's opinion on the matter.

Attached are the medicines for your scrutiny, I hope it is not one of those fake drugs.

I don't know if our problem is illiteracy or poverty.

Self-medication is about to harm you, and here you're seeking another one to cure the earlier one. Are you ok?

Go to the hospital and this time around, go to a reputable one, or else, your ear is gone.

That long sound in the ear is "tininitus" or something. Someone came here with it last time.

The story no clear. How did the deceased come into the house to prevent suicide? Who's he to them? Where was the husband when she was attempting suicide?

Is she seeing the guy she killed while married to this man? Was he her boyfriend before she got married to this man? Did she tell the guy she'd kill herself if he doesn't come to rescue her from her current marriage, she'd kill herself and not doing that, she wanted to make her threat real, and the guy trying to stop her, she offed him. "If I can't have you, no one will have" kind of situation.

“Hardships have an end whose time is known only to Allaah."

So, anyone experiencing them has no choice but to be patient until that time is up. Losing patience before that time will not help anything. Patience is a must, but it is useless without prayer.

The one praying should not be hasty, and should instead engage in worship through patience, prayers, and submission to the All-Wise…

The hasty one is infringing on the function of the Planner, and this is not the proper position of a servant to be in.

The best position to be in is to accept your fate, and this demands patience. To beg constantly in prayer is the most reliable recourse.

Opposition to fate is forbidden, and infringes on the function of the Planner. Understand these points, and your hardship will be much easier to deal with…”

Food / Re: See The Goat Meat Pepper Soup I Made To Reciprocate Love To My Female Neighbor by Caseless: 3:44am On Dec 23, 2023
Keepamsafe:
I haven’t been feeling fine cos of malaria and typhoid since on Wednesday so I took Thursday and today off from work. Being sick and a bachelor, I’ve been craving things especially goat meat pepper soup but I have no one to prepare it for me amidst my sickness. So, I had to take the bull by the horn.

I wrote down a list and went to the market to buy things for goat meat pepper soup. Before leaving the house, I realized my female neighbor was at home, so I thought it was a good time to reciprocate her generosity so, I went to the market having her in mind.

Im done cooking now so i want to surprise her with my delicacy. I have dished her own share and im taking it to her now. Im thinking of adding malt too. Well, I hope she likes it.
You haven't told us the gesture of your female neighbour you're trying to reciprocate.

SharingIsLife:
cool If the Nigerian government knew how much we are losing to this Kanụ case, they would have just released him, granting him the referendum he seeks. What's difficult in doing this?

Today, I have the time to respond to this reckless statement you've been making. So, you don't know that there is something called provocation in criminal law both globally and in Nigeria? Don't you know that if there is any ground to establish that someone was rightfully provoked to do something, then, the culpability is lessened to that degree?

OK, let's assume you're so ignorant you do not know this, are you also so morally and rationally bankrupt that you don't know this: When IPOB was only carrying placard, the Nigerian Government provoked them again and again by killing them until they became violent?

You are so shameless it doesn't worry you that an organization your country proscribed (IPOB) is not proscribed anywhere else throughout the world, but an organization proscribed throughout the world (Fulani militia) is protected by your government. Full shame.
Carrying placards? Ipob has been violent since the beginning.

Through out 8 years of Buhari tenure, he never completed the rehabilitation of any of the national refineries.

He gathered all the dollars in Nigeria and gave it to Dangote to go a float a new refinery.

Buhari is hyper-miles the worst vegetable a President can be. So poor and terrible in competence.

If we can get like 3 or 4 vibrant refineries working in Nigeria within the next 2 years, perhaps price can reduce.
Buhari did this one. Give him his props. This was started 2 years ago. This administration is just 6 month old.

He did his best.

Give Buhari his credit. This rehabilitation started 2 years ago and I don't think the present administration has released any funds to that effect.

Obaseki got it right with this one. Edo is officially an oil producing state.

What's Kogi doing with their own as the first oil producing state in the north? Or is Anambra still claiming the oil field?

The only Way out from this ugly issue of fake product is life imprisonment or dead sentence as punishment that's the only way out for it.
NAFDAC should be given prosecutorial power and be expanded to have more staff. NAFDAC should get percentage of the VAT, like 50 kobo, so they can be able to generate what could cater for the proposed expanded manpower.

If we're not too heartless, why would people be making fake products from a dirty place?

The buyers should lose it and their shops closed, then the producers will stop producing if they don't get buyers. Everyone should buy from the true source.

I was tempted to call the op a liar but it matches what's currently trending around the world. Government officials, actors, musicians, and even young students are losing their jobs and getting canceled for criticizing Israel (which isn't antisemitic). Havard's president is currently facing the risk of getting sacked. If you ask me, I'd say this is the fastest way to rally the entire world against them. It's even safer to stick to their stupid lies about the atrocities they are committing.

They're always claiming the victims. We have freedom of speech, the only time freedom of speech is a crime is when it's about the atrocities in Gaza and LGBTQ people.

You gag people and uses force to buy love and silence - it's absurd.

I have been taking my time to read some comments on Nairaland since the platform was restored,it seems that people think it's because of our local politics or whatever drama we are acting here that Nairaland was shut down
I might not actually know the offence committed by the person to warrant the total closure of the website (Seun informed us he had to get a temporary host) but I am very very confident it had to do with International players
I will not mention names but I sincerely blame Seun, there is no way a platform like Nairaland will still be at the mercy of third party hosts for access
Some people have said that Seun cannot build a server in Nigeria due to the cost of doing it,but who says he can't buy out and get shares in a company that provides that service

Like I said in an earlier thread,Seun is a small player in this game,he needs to start growing his influence both locally and Internationally
There are certain truths Seun needs to understand,if they can do it once, they will do it again
But when you build yourself to a point of influence and importance, they will think twice before they try to mess with you and and your business

Stop allowing third parties have this type of influence over you and your business,it can destroy you
Just as Seun is not ready to improve this forum, he's not ready to do anything that insulte him from this kind of sanctions.

How can any good builder leave everything at the mercy of a thirdparty? He can't create his own server? He should look to Asia or elsewhere for this services and avoid where these guys have influence.
