Education › Re: Technical College Students To Get N45,000 Monthly — FG by Caseless: 11:54pm On May 28, 2025 |
seborrhic: That is,real clowning. You are converting polytechnics and technical colleges to universities left, right and centre on the one hand, yet on the other hand saying you are paying 45k stipends to technical college students. Asides being ironic,it also doesn't make any sense. Next, you pay doctors and nurses during training to incentisize them to stay? Engineers, okay, more students enroll in engineering and get 60k per month. Oh,what of agricultural students,go into agricultural studies with 50k every month so that there would be more farmers.Education, ditto and the list goes on and on! We're confused. Bsc and HND dichotomy is what they want to defeat by that conversion process, but it doesn't make sense. I've seen people from technical schools build things in the past and the school is always close to my heart. |
Family › Re: Living With Parents At 37 by Caseless: 11:35pm On May 28, 2025 |
SultanOfPuna: ok thanks for the input. We have found a nanny but due to an incident that happened to one of our family friend. The said woman employ nanny to take care of house and the nanny ended up poisoning the woman and her son. Then took a bag of money the woman kept in her room and ran away.
So they are really paranoid of any nanny taking care of them. They prefer a family member or relation they can trust. Currently none of our relatives are available to help out and majority of them are abroad🤷 Don't hire nanny. Don't take decisions you'll live to regret for the rest of your life. If anything happens to them due to your absence, you won't forgive yourself. Don't listen to some people here. They never had it good with their parents, so, don't let them poison your mind. They'll tell you time is going...yen yen yen... Oga, who go marry, go marry. Who go born go born. Who go die go die. Everything happens at the appointed time. Don't listen to them. |

Family › Re: Living With Parents At 37 by Caseless: 11:29pm On May 28, 2025 |
SultanOfPuna: I have lived alone in apartment from 2019 to 2023 Due to financial struggles i relocated to my parents house 2023 since then i'm still with them
Now its 2 years and i have gotten financially stable and solid. I want to leave but my parents are old and they want me to be around them at this stage of their life.
My parents are really old My siblings are all married except me. My siblings are in different states far away from my parents. I'm the only one closer to them
I'm the one taking care of the house and making sure things are in order. But deep down i want to leave the house and go create my own family.
If i leave them and move out i fear that things will be out of order and disorganised due to old age. Unfortunately no younger sibling to help look after them.
What should i do? Stick around for them and earn the blessing. So many people wish they have parents they can take care of now. That singular purpose of staying with them to give them comfort now is why God blessed them with you as their son. I don't have single doubt in my mind that you're doing the right thing -and you will get the reward. Stay focused on the assignment, God is with you. If you can get a responsible girl, marry her and bring her to that home to help you. Give them reasons to be happy they gave birth to you. May God bless you abundantly. |

I don't delete. Even if your number is written on my palm, if I won't call you, I won't call...let alone your pictures. In fact, I don't even check my gallery to see pictures - so I won't see you. |

I have been thinking about this
Mr Biggs- Gone. KFC almost Dead. SFC -Dead Savanna Chum chum- Dead
Countless businesses in all sectors. Start and never exceeds 2 to 3 decades.
Only few musicians last 15 years actively in the scene and they fade. Why can't they write and keep pushing out music. Even if they can't write. People hire writers. What is wrong with Naija.
The same time English people built their rail ways was when they built the ones they left in Nigeria. 30 years after they left. rail way died. efforts to resuscitate it has taken ages.

We're so dirty on the inside and outside that we dump things everywhere.

Education › Re: Sowore Calls For The Abolition Of JAMB, NYSC by Caseless: 2:27am On May 15, 2025 |
XtraFortunes: I agree with him. I almost lost my life during my NYSC in the north. The driver and another passenger died on the spot. I will never forget that day in my life. I thank God I am alive today
These two organizations are time wasters of Nigerian youth. One will stay at home for years writing Jamb, while those who know road and have long keg have entered school, same with NYSC waiting to be mobilized and wasting one year serving.
Meanwhile abroad at 25 most people who want to go to school have graduated and are working and usually married, their counterpart in Nigeria are still writing Jamb and trying to go for NYSC.
So you see your age mates abroad retire early and starts traveling the world on Vacation while in Nigeria at 40 people are still claiming youth. These are because of these Jamb and NYSC delays
Leave NYSC for people that want to participate in it. If people don't go to collect that "alawee", what would they do? You talked of almost losing your life, everyone that died did so because NYSC? No any other cause? Even in your community, things don't happen - they happen only because of NYSC. People achieved things from NYSC. Made friends that changed their lives, people got their life partner from there, but it's the negative you people advertise. |

But Mujica always rejected that title: "They say I'm the poorest president. No, I'm not," he told me in a 2012 interview at his home. "Poor are those who want more [...] because they're in an endless race." I watched this interview then when it was aired on aljazeera or BBC then. This quote has stuck and been my biggest takeaway.
