Install a plugin called page hide and activate it
Go to the page you want to hide
Edit the page and there should be an option at the right that allows you to chose to keep the page hidden.
Although this will not stop the page from working but the page will not be visible on your drawer or anywhere on your homepage.

Definitely a motherboard issue, I can't really tell you where the problem is coming from cos a lot of things can cause this to happen, I'll advice you take it to a laptop engineer for diagnosis.
