AlphaTaikun:Yes soft power is exactly what it is and certainly the illusion is crumbling right in front of the world. Arguably, religion export is also one of the strongest soft power they have in their armoury. Everything they imposed on Africa including their economic model, governmental style and ideologies are all soft power. That's why they are hellbent on maintaining their grip on the continent of Africa. Their soft power projection has never favoured Africa, it will never favour Africa. |
I mean, US and Israel military censorship cannot deny this one. The evidences are there in the open |
Biodun1929:Yes the brainwashing certainly did a number on Africans. It took me a long time to decouple from the narratives and see them for who they are. Millions of Nigerians/Africans are still under their spell but do you blame them? Most of African media space including Nigeria is dominated, influenced and funded by American and European NGOs to portray US and Europe in good light at the detriment of the prosperity of Africa. That's why you see a lot of zombies on here who believes Iran is the reason why Nigeria is infested with Boko Haram etc......Because US & EU told them so through Reuters, BBC, Fox News, Sky News etc. They forgot the saying - Once you control the media - you control their mind, once you control their mind - you control them. |
Biodun1929:Oh yes! Hollywood will have a proper dine out over this for the next 30 years perhaps. Fun Fact: The US military is embedded into Hollywood. They have a dedicated office within the Office of the Secretary of Defense in Los Angeles, along with individual liaison offices for each branch of the armed forces. It's called Department of Defence Entertainment Media Unit. Filmmakers seeking to use military equipment (ships, aircraft) or film on military bases must submit scripts for approval and agree to have the Department of Defense oversee depictions and the aim is to boost public image, aid recruitment, and secure a favourable narrative of the US military. The storyline must not criticise the US military or you're not shooting any film. So that means most Hollywood movies we've seen, portraying US military are facade. Movie scripts are either changed or rewritten to boost their image. More than 2,500 films and TV shows have been assisted by the US Department of Defense to portray the US Military in good light, including Top Gun, Iron Man, Black Hawk Down, Transformers, and Captain Marvel. |
TimeManager:US sold the gulf state an illusion of security. When their tiny nations were being bombarded by Iranian missiles and drones, US moved interceptors and other missile defence assets from their countries to Israel. Gulf States now sees that the security guarantee sold to them by the US is a mirage. That may make them reconsider their investments in the US, they may even sell off the US Treasury bonds that they currently hold, if that happens, coupled with current offloading of US Treasury bonds by Russia, India, and China, then US economy will be in real trouble. |
DuttyChuks:No, they're worth a lot more alive than dead. |
US has recovered one of the two pilots, the other pilot is presumed to be in the custody of the Iranian authorities. One of the UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter which was sent on a search & rescue mission to recover the two pilots has also been shot down. On top of that, US has just proposed a 48-hour ceasefire but was rejected by Iran. This is a huge blow to the regime of the megalomaniac tangerine baby turd in the White House. |
bigpicture001:Which rock have you been living under?? US army and intelligence personnels have been struck in hotels across the gulf states over the course of the war so far. |
dederocs:What an intelligent, very well researched and thought-through counterargument. I don’t expect anything more than that. |
dederocs:If Israel is targeting Iranians? listen to yourself for a second. Who provoked war? Have Israel and US not killed hundreds of Iranians in this war? But yes people like you don't see anything wrong with attacking another sovereign nation without any legitimate reason. Painstaking method of targeting "regime" offices also include blowing up research centre, kids school, civilian bridge, universities and hospitals? That's exactly what terrorists do. Iran is targeting its Arab neighbours because US military bases, personnel and businesses are in those Arab states. That's not out of desperation, they're legitimate targets. Iran share the same version of Islam ideology with Boko Haram? No. Iran are Shia muslims and they are strongly against terrorism. Boko Haram follows extremist version of Sunni Islam. As a matter of fact, Iran fought ISIS extremists for years when Qasem Soleimani was Major General of the IRGC. Then US murdered Qasem Soleimani. 3 years later, Ahmed al-Sharaa who was an ISIS fighter, became Syrian president and now meeting with US president, British Prime Minister, even King Charles. There are many evidences and confessions from US politician and C.IA operative that US created and funded ISIS, Boko Haram etc but to you, Iran is a terrorist state? Have you ever questioned why America killed an Iranian Major General that is fighting ISIS? (That's if you knew about the event in the first place) Have you ever questioned why wounded ISIS fighters are treated in Israeli hospitals? Have you ever questioned why Netanyahu funded Hamas $35M through Qatar every month leading up to October 7 2023 Have you ever questioned why ISIS have never attacked Israel but other countries like Syria, Iraq, Iran in the region. Have you ever questioned why a former ISIS fighter who beheaded people live on camera, is now a president of Syria - meeting with Western world leaders? Have you ever questioned why US and the European Union mandated Nigeria to rehabilitate repentant Boko Haram back into the society? Have you ever questioned why the western media machines are now pushing narratives that Ibrahim Traore has killed 1800 civilians when in fact, the "civilians" killed are actually JNIM terrorists? Don't worry, everything will soon dawn on you and by that time, it'll come at you like a tonne of bricks. But till then, happy cheerleading. |
dederocs:Iran attacking ships in the Strait of Hormuz (which belongs to them by the way) in war time is like militants blowing up pipelines and Boko haram kidnapping school kids?? But Israel/USA launching an unprovoked war in the first place, bombing school kids, civilian bridge, universities and medical centres is absolutely OK. Yh I get it 👍 |
The United States went to war with Iran to protect the petrodollar system which is the most powerful system on earth that enabled the US dollar to be in demand globally - that system is coming to an end. I've said previously that US empire is declining but "decline" is not the right word. It's crashing. Maybe everyone will soon understand why Iran is charging toll fees in Chinese Yuan and also the reason why China has been stacking physical gold recently. Russia, Brazil and India have offloaded their US Bond, China has been gradually offloading too. Interesting times. |
BlackViper:US/Israel bomb civilian bridges, hospitals, universities and research centres but no they're not terrorists at all. |
Iran knows exactly where these American soldiers are across the Gulf states. Sad they're risking their lives fighting an illegal war. |
CorrectionFLuid:Yh I follow your logic, makes absolute sense to the dense. |
It's high time Nigeria dismantle the distorted monoculture economy that Europe imposed on Africa and backed by the World Bank after world war 2 when we gave up our self sufficiency. Now we’re slowly edging back to a war time situation where self sufficiency is the only way of survival but one which Nigeria is not prepared for. Nigeria has more than enough arable land for self-sufficiency. Food security should never be an issue for Nigeria in 2026 and certainly should never be politicised! |
CorrectionFLuid:Ok senior. Is/are there distinction(s) between Iran government hanging dissidents and Boko Haram murdering people unprovoked? To make my question easy for you to answer, senior, is there any distinction between, say, Nigerian government's attempt at quelling EndSars protest/revolution and Boko Haram gruesomely murdering innocent civilians unprovoked? By your senior logic, they're both terrorism. No? |
CorrectionFLuid:Define this "terrorism" that you casually and carelessly throw around like a golfball. "Terrorism" like Boko Haram or? |
Maybe one day, Nigerians will wake up from these psyops. Just maybe |
CorrectionFLuid:Yh because it's a wise move to go back home to thank and praise an adversary who launched an unprovoked war against the country they supposedly came from. When USA and allies finally set Nigeria on fire (which is coming by the way) of course you can jubilate and praise Trump because you've never known sovereignty - it's an alien concept to you but real Iranians are solidly behind their government. |
CorrectionFLuid:Proved who right? Who's "them"? |
And some people call this Portable guy deranged? He has sense than a lot of Nigerian educated illiterate |
Bahrain will finally learn their lesson - It may be dangerous to be America's enemy but it's fatal to be America's friend. |
YourGFsnatcher:Where I got my education? Erm...somewhere you only wish for in your dreams. |
"Iran's president pleads for ceasefire" - Everyday is April Fool for this Donald Fool Trump. Different days, different lies. |
I mean by what metrics did 2Baba measure "better" by? standard of living? infrastructure? economy? health? national unity? |

Nigerian government can't manage anything because Nigeria is not a truly sovereign nation - it has never been. Food? - Imported (Nigeria has arable land that’s more than enough for self sustainability) Energy? - Imported (Nigeria has crude oil and gas, enough for self sustainability) Religion? - Imported (Different ethnicity in Nigeria has their belief system until foreign religions took hold and now a major cause of instability) Language? - Imported (Any Nigerian language spoken in Nigerian schools is vernacular) Names? - Imported (Athena, Nathan, Chantelle sounds a lot more trendier and woke than Tolulade, Chukwuemeka or Oghenetega) Steel and machineries? - Imported (Ajaokuta steel plant is still on its knees) Governmental style? - Imported (Democracy hasn’t done much for the progress of Nigeria) Until Nigeria reduces reliance on the outside world and revisit the foundation of certain elements, Nigerian government will never be able to manage anything and we will keep going round and round in circles. |
