YoungLionken:Didn't say he's wrong |
Pickup8:Don't lend opinions on things you know less about or assert a position out of ignorance. A Babalawo that avoids Esu is not a Babalawo. When they say "Èṣù ma se mi, omo elomiran ni ko se" it's generally an appeal to Esu asking him to bless their path with clarity and redirect any harsh lessons or chaos toward those who mean harm towards them. Esu is an entirely impartial deity. If you perform good deeds, Esu ensures you receive blessings. If you act with greed, malice, or ignore spiritual wisdom, he enforces the natural consequences of those actions. Go and learn about yourself, your heritage, your very rich culture and traditions. Most importantly go and learn about your ancestor's way of life instead of some Jewish or Arabian's way of life and religion. |
QuinQ:Yh because USA has unlimited resources to wage wars and Iran will just sit back and take it? Great thinking |
"Unfair for Iran to lack nuclear weapon when Israel and USA has them" - Fixed. |
No you cannot go back to bombing Iran and you know it |
Kalulu44:I myself was born into a deeply religious christian home until I started asking uncomfortable questions and digging dip into history but anyway that's by the by. Why should you separate Old Testament from the New Testament? If you have to distinguish parts or sections of a supposed "Holy Bible", what does that achieve? If the New Testament is now the "approved" section of the bible that Christians should live by then why did the Old Testament make the cut? How is blood offering evil? How do you decide what's evil and what's not? What's your frame of reference? Is it the same God that happily accepted blood sacrifices in the Old Testament, the same God that told Christians in the New Testament not to offer blood sacrifices anymore because he already accepted Jesus's blood as sacrifice? Help me make it make sense. Again, you don't make sacrifices to Ifa. Ifa is like a conduit and depending on your circumstances, Ifa may tell you what deity to appease and how to appease the deity which may or may not include animal sacrifices. About you being an atheist, I suppose that's fair, you don't have to belong to any religion. Everyone should be allowed to practice whatever religion they deem fit but I hold a strong opinion that Christianity and Islam doesn't belong to us. |
enemyofprogress:Very distinct. |
Kalulu44:Ifa is a spiritual and philosophical system, you don't sacrifice to Ifa. Do you offer sacrifices to Esu? Absolutely. So, since we're on whataboutism - are there no rituals and sacrifices in the bible involving blood? (Assuming you're christian) You may want to read Leviticus, Exodus, and Deuteronomy especially. Even christians believe Jesus was a human sacrifice to God. (There's nothing like human sacrifice in Ifa system by the way). Even in Judaism which is the religion that Jesus practised, they offer blood sacrifices to God for a whole lot of things - sin offering, burnt offering, peace offering, guilt offering and other rituals. Know the religion you practice, read your bible too in depth. Not just the chapters that preaches prosperity, "heaven", and placing curses on "village people". |
damoobaba:"Holy Spirit" is not a christianity thing. Holy Spirit is your intuition |
I'd trust my Holy Spirit and would most likely get off the bus with the "traditional doctor". A pastor herds a flock of sheep, A real ifa oracle sees with the third eye and guide you to navigate life accordingly. This is who we were before the colonisers brought their religion and told our ancestors that our spirituality is evil. Ifa is not evil. Esu is not satan. |
Trump is forced to negotiate with more hard liners in Iran because he killed off the moderates. Not achieved the objective of restricting Iran’s missile or nuclear capabilities, or regime change. All that is seen in Trump’s decision to postpone his return to US and stay on the other side of the Atlantic than to be present for the signing ceremony on Friday. This is a guy who loves the limelight - he went to the Middle East last year for one single day to be front and centre of the signing ceremony marking the end of the 12 day war between Israel and Iran. Why wouldn’t he want to bask in the glory of this diplomatic triumph? Unless there’s no such thing as “diplomatic triumph” because the only thing US has achieved was reopening of the Strait of Hormuz which wasn’t shut until Trump decided to wage a war against Iran. A huge blunder and strategic failure for Trump’s USA. |

PapaNnamdi:All the three points are completely true from my viewpoint but the contradiction in the second and third points - if life truly has no meaning whatsoever, then I think the idea of losing one’s purpose becomes difficult to justify. Why would it matter if someone spends 40 years working a job if there is no meaning to begin with? |
frankblinkz:Elon is an African man now? |
Trump and Netanyahu were operating in tandem just a few months ago, how time has changed. Netanyahu wasn’t even given a copy of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between USA and Iran, in which Israel has huge vested interest. Israel doesn’t want to pull out of Lebanon but the deal signed between Iran and Israel hinged on Israel’s withdrawal from Lebanon. Any attack by Israel on Lebanon will mean continuation of the war which USA can't afford. Deal signed between USA and Iran is not welcomed by the political establishment in Israel because they believe that their war against Iran completely failed to achieve any of the original objective they aimed for at the start, but there’s nothing they can do. Israel don’t want to pull out of Lebanon but they also can’t fight a war without USA’s support. Relationship fracturing between Washington and Tel Aviv. Netanyahu is desperate for friends at the moment, the only friend it has currently is Somaliland - only because Israel is the only country that recognises Somaliland as a country. Netanyahu is currently in a horrible political position. |
QuinQQ:Even greater insight. Well done! |
QuinQQ:Iran's wing has been clipped? Ah right Ok, great insight, nice one 👍 |
How exactly is this a better deal than the JCPOA that didn't require Obama to wage a war? |
As part of a President Trump-brokered peace deal? You waged a war and brokered peace deal? Someone please get me off this train ![]() |
Ah Ok we're still on this "Christian genocide" soundbite |
Where are the drones for dog's sake?! Are they hunting for hares and antelopes or conducting search and rescue operations? |
When I say that the West and their Neo-colonial instruments like IMF are not Africa's friends, African "Americans" somewhere in Surulere will tell you to shut up. They know you can't do without telecommunication and fuel, and that's where they're asking their puppet president in Nigeria to impose tax. You all will soon wake up se. |

Dotherightthing:Invade Iran with ground forces? What are you smoking? crack cocaine? |
Iran is negotiating from a position of power. They are essentially in the driving seat of this negotiation. Araghchi has said that the Strait of Hormuz is the sovereignty of Iran and Oman which can never be challenged and management of the Strait will never return to pre-war era. So, if: 1. Iran is demanding $300bn (£225bn) from the US to end the war before they can open up the Strait of Hormuz that was never shut before the war. 2. Tehran continues to control strategic waterway (in collabo with Oman) generating almost $80billion a year which they weren't earning before the war. 3. Tehran continues its nuclear enrichment (as they rightly should). Where is the win for bloodsucking warmongering America? Ladies and gentlemen, the 4th world power in this new global order - Iran 📢 |
You don't know a systemic problem but want to be president? |
But why would you kill a python? |
LEXYLOV:Christianity never preached violence? Do you read your bible at all? Do you read the 1st Testament? Both Islam and Christianity have references of violence in their "holy book" ordained by "God". Both are foreign religions that should not have a place in Nigeria. |
