There has been complains across various regions in Nigeria on the recent hike in prices of PMS. Many Nigerians are already crying of hardship; now they are faced with another hurdle of high petrol price. Yesterday I went to purchase PMS In a filing station near my vacinity in Port Harcourt, I was shocked when they told me #200 per litre. I was on a cue for a very long time before it finally reached my turn. It is well... So let's know what the price of PMS around ur area. Cc Lalasticlala |

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has vehemently rejected the renouncement of Biafra as a condition being proposed by the Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND) for the release of its detained leader, Nnamdi Kanu during the alleged negotiation between MEND and the Federal Government. MEND had last week said it had made far-reaching agreements and concessions with the Federal Government on ending the renewed militancy in the Niger Delta region part of which was the conditional release of Kanu on the grounds that he would renounce Biafra. But IPOB in a swift reaction said MEND never sought its mandate before entering into such negotiations, insisting that Kanu can never under any terms renounce Biafra. A statement issued on Thursday by IPOB’s Media and Publicity Officer, Emma Powerful, dismissed the alleged truce between MEND and the Federal Government as a jamboree. “We condemn the Kangaroo and concocted agreements between the Federal Government and the leadership of MEND”, IPOB said. The statement said IPOB under Mazi Nnamdi Kanu did not send MEND to negotiate for the release of its leader and other detained members of the pro- Biafra group. Insisting on the unconditional release of Kanu and all detained Biafran agitators, IPOB said Biafra’s autonomy is non-negotiable because, according to him, ‘this is God’s project which no human being can stop because it is a spirit that hovers around’. It said, “IPOB worldwide and the people of Biafra can never accept any little conditional attachment towards the release of our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and other members detained alongside with him because he did not commit any crime. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the result of Imo North senatorial district rerun inconclusive. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that the poll was conducted on Saturday. Also declared inconclusive were the results of Oru East and Isiala Mbano state constituencies following reported cases of shot out which characterised the exercise in some communities in the two affected areas. The shootings were reported at Okata and Amiri in Oru East, while skirmishes and snatching of ballot boxes characterised the election in some communities in Isiala Mbano area. Professor Arinze Agbogu, the Indepenent National Electoral Commission (INEC) returning officer for Imo North senatorial district, who announced the result on Sunday, however, said that Mr Ben Uwajumogu, the All Progressive Congress (APC’s) senatorial candidate, polled 48,921. Agbogu also announced that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP’s) Athan Achonu scored 40,142 votes to emerge second in the already declared result. He explained that results of several polling units in Isiala Mbano area were characterised by irregularities leading to cancelation of the results. Agbogu explained that the exercise was cancelled in 15 polling units with a total of 13,000 registered voters. Meanwhile, the chairman, caretaker committee of the PDP, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, on his Twitter handle on Sunday, said “the attempt to rig our party in the Imo North re-run is unacceptable. INEC and the security agencies must respect the wishes of the people.” SOURCE: http://tribuneonlineng.com/inec-declares-imo-north-rerun-inconclusive/ |
