Nigerians are beginning to reap the dividends of change and a sincere government.

While some who are better off, or do not have access to train services might underplay the significance; the masses who even endanger their lives by hanging off such rains or sitting on the roof due to their inability to afford fares, will surely appreciate this kind gesture from the government, and I encourage them to extend the gesture beyond the two weeks until the economic situation improves (if feasible).

Kudos Rotimi Ameachi, the Nigerian masses are thankful.

Should an organization or individual be allowed to roam about freely even when there are obvious proofs he is owing the state. Perhaps we should stop taking sides and look beyond petty politics to move Nigeria ahead. If Bruce's organization is owing the nation then let him pay.

I have mouth to say this because i pay mine.

As a matter of fact and emphasis, i pay 7 digits tax every year. In case you wonder why it pains me when some one just steal money and i refuse to support him no matter the Religious, political or tribal affiliation.

So when we scream "Damn !! Tax payer's money"

we mean it.


I hope WAILERS will not ask me to prove it by going to AMERICA.

She displays $14,000 bag on social media and claims to buy 2 at once. She said her bag is more expensive than the cars of her haters. She forgot the authorities are watching all these. She is lucky she's not in Europe. Former Italian prime minister is currently in jail for tax evasion. Linda's case is no big deal if she is truly rich

In a sane society, everybody realises that it is his/her obligation to pay tax. In my educated opinion as an accountant and a tax practitioner, she should be paying way above N75m. I cant readily tell the basis by which they arrived at 75m.
Pls dont mind other Igbos that only see everything as a battle against igbos.

I think it is wrong for the CBN to continue to allow the banks keep this much foreign currencies without the adequate CRR for it (or do they), as it applies to the Naira.

So, it is either the excess that cannot be backed up by adequate CRR are returned to the owners, or they are thrown into the pool of currencies in CBN's account (not warehoused), whence the banks can request for it when needed.

This is how to checkmate hoarding..

I don't think I've heard of any change in the cbn's policy on bank held dollars.
I know govt said they'll give the airlines their money. But what of the $5billion we were told is sitting in people's accounts, foes everyone now have access through atms, card payments or transfers or are the restrictions still in place?
Those who know, Kindly help us with this info.

I thought the dullard said he will not devalue the currency because he is yet to be convinced of its usefulness. Now that the currency has crashed and everything has tumbled down,he ran away to London and left the dirty job to his vice president. The truth is this move is coming too late,any official devaluation now will only crash the currency further most likely to 400naira and above because the government hasn't got the dollars to back the demand . After officially devaluing the currency ,cbn still doesn't have the dollars to sell to the banks .

Nigeria is not politically advanced to have ideologies. What we have are those have power and those who jostling for it. If there are any ideologies at all, they are ethnic based.
