I have stood by in the last couple of days to see this drama about Stella Damasus and Daniel Ademinokan unfold. I have read countless blogs, reviews and comments from all over the world and I have come to the conclusion that people have no clue what they are talking about.
I LIVED WITH DANIEL AND DORIS FOR ABOUT 4 YEARS SO I CAN TELL YOU FACTS! Not hear say or assumptions. I will even mention names that can be verified.
Let us not be distracted by this stunt that uncle Daniel just pulled with the party and the gift. Let us focus on the root of this matter. When we know the foundation, we will know how to direct our anger and "insults".
I lived with Daniel & Doris because my sister was close friends with aunty Doris and at that time I needed accommodation in Lagos because my parents were based in the south south part of Nigeria. I lived with them when they were still on Salami Street in Mende, Maryland, Lagos and even when they moved to their Idowu Akindele Crescent residence in Magodo GRA, Lagos.Daniel was a good man and the perfect husband to Doris and he made her feel special in every way. He always spoke to her nicely and was quick to defend her in many ways. He supported her career and was determined to make Doris rise to the top above her colleagues. He used to say that a lot and felt she deserved to be at the top. He would always say, "Dem Toyin, Funke, Dayo and co no fine pass you. Dem nor act pass you. I have to position you at the top". He did everything in his power to put her her there. Daniel cannot come and boast to people, especially me that he single handedly financed all of Doris' films. HE CAN'T. He was responsible for getting the finances but it was not HIS money entirely that did films like ONITEMI and OMO IYA KAN. The marketer named EPSALUM financed these films. I know that Daniel may have added about 10%-20% of his cash at some point but it was almost insignificant. The only film he did with his money for her 100% was the film ASIRI. So if he ever claims he did those films for her....quote me or ask EPSALUM.

Doris was a good wife in her own right. She supported her husband's passion to change the industry. She encouraged him into making Yoruba films which he really didn't want to get into. She enjoyed the fact that out of most of her colleagues, she was the one that had a STEADY home with a young and successful guy...ambitious man too. She was the minister of finance. That's what Daniel used to call her in the house because he always gave her all the money to handle. He would bring money home an hand it ALL over to her because she was efficient in money management, unlike him who was a free giver and really had no respect or regard for money! Whether he had enough or not, he never did care so much about cash. NEVER!

For the 4 years that I lived with them, not for ONE day did I ever hear them raise their voices at each other in arguments or quarrels. You would see them come out of their bedroom sometimes with weird expressions and we would all know they just fought but you would NEVER hear Daniel raise his voice. NEVER!

One thing that the world never know was how much both families NEVER wanted them to get married. Doris' parents didn't like Daniel and Daniel's mother (in particular) never liked Doris. She was against the relationship from the beginning. She is known to be a heavy prayer warrior and she said God was against the marriage from scratch but Daniel never listened to his mother.

Now, the HORRIBLE thing about Daniel is his stubbornness and hard headed nature. He never listens to people and if he believes in something, it would take a manifestation of the 10 plagues in Egypt to change his mind. He is an extremely stubborn and very determined person. Which was one thing I hated about him. Yes he is nice, loving to his family and friends but do not think for a minute that you can convince him easily to change his mind when he has already formed an opinion or decided on what he wants to do.

He went on with the marriage. His family believed that Doris trapped him with the baby but that is a big lie. I have always disagreed with his mother on that note: I respect the woman but Doris DID NOT trap Daniel with a baby. They were already living together for 3 years before David was born. So the woman should get her facts straight. Her son (I believe) wanted the child as much as Doris did.

I think along the line Uncle Daniel started to realize that in many ways he and Aunty Doris were different. Much different than he had thought. I believe Doris started to relax on several things because she felt she had her husband and he was going nowhere. He was always very expressive about his love, she was the opposite. He would run around the house and want to play love games with her but she thought that was a waste of time and energy. I personally experienced that with them on several occasions. I guess Doris was more concerned about how people perceived the relationship on the outside and not how sweet it really was on the inside. She always wanted pictures of them out there. Daniel was more concerned about making his marrige very "Oyinbo-ish" because that's who he has always been.

At some point I started to feel that Daniel started getting tired of her excuses about being expressive with her feelings even in the house. I think it suddenly dawned on him that they were from two different worlds. Their command of English was too far apart, their ideologies were different, approach to situations, educational background, family, upbringing, etc. I believe she just stopped being his wife and turned herself into a MAMA in the house. I remember him buying her all sorts of short clothes and sexy outfits from the US. I thought they were too daring but he didn't mind.

The marriage meltdown goes as far back as 2009. I know that I heard them talking in hush tones a few times about how sex was a problem in the marriage. I know for a fact that Daniel used to joke about it around the house but you could see he was serious in those jokes. He was always clowning about how he had to fill forms like an embassy to have sex with his wife. I know at some point it was so bad that for almost 6 months they didn't do anything. One thing I can tell you for a fact is that in the course of their marriage, Daniel never cheated on Doris. This was a known fact and EVERYONE knew how crazy he was about his wife but really....is lack of sex enough to ruin a marriage?

Some people Daniel confided in where his bosom friend ALEX EFFIONG who was there when Daniel and Doris hooked up originally. I know I overheard Daniel and Alex talking about it in the editing studio at the BQ in Magodo. Two other people I know for a fact that Daniel confided in when he was in America where his friends BUKKY EBUN of Nollywood View and 'LAMIDE DAVIES TALABI. You can ask them because they are on Facebook. These two people will tell you the whole story and how they tried to step in to advice. Even Bukky came to the house in Magodo at some point when she visited Nigeria. She came with KAHA the singer. That's how I found out. He was desperate to save his marriage that's why he took drastic steps to talk to people.

Doris begged for privacy at this time and I understood and let her be.

Doris Simeon has a son with ex hubby Daniel and i guess she is trying to keep it clean for her son's sake.

When Doris and Daniel were Married I used to tell Daniel they were the best couple in town,their love was so plain to see.I don't know what went wrong.I don't know how or when Stella Damasus came into the picture and I am yet to confirm that they have indeed Married.

I don't know how or when Stella and Daniel met and started dating but I still think Doris needs to paint the real picture of what happened to help others going through similar situation and too embarrassed to talk out......those too ashamed to let anyone know.

I have not been able to confirm that there was a February wedding.

To The Mother of My Unborn Daughter



My Love,
Many of my friends pray they should not have a daughter. They say they are afraid of raising them, that they are not as easy to manage as boys. I am not very afraid, I wish to have them boy and girl since I know I have you.

I am writing you this letter because of what I have seen for about half a decade, I have watched with keen interest the affairs of those lions in men’s skin who promise heaven and earth before a damsel but behind the poor angel, they plan her fall. My love, I have seen guys who invite their friends over so they could plan how to drug a girl with sleeping-pill laced milk and violate her in her forced slumber. A few times I have walked past rooms were I hear struggles of girls trying to escape from rooms they voluntarily entered thinking the occupants were friends just to find out that those they call their friends have skimmed wickedness behind them. I have heard of sexual harassment, exploitation, even rape: most of the time by people who are supposed to be friends of the victim. I have seen shamelessness in its rawest form; I have seen daughters of respectable mothers living two lives: one at home, another in school. But don’t get me wrong I have seen good ones too, in fact daughters of bad mothers turning out to be good themselves.
But I am afraid. How is our daughter going to turn out? I know we shall work together to mould her into a balanced young woman but I strongly believe the bulk of the work falls on your shoulder.

My lady, I know you know this but I wish to remind you that quality training of a child begins from your tummy. When you read books to her and talk to her while she is still in you. Please do not allow the mood swings that result from hormonal fluctuations during pregnancy affect the baby, at no time should you get angry with the unborn no matter what happens. Please do not believe as some people do that once our daughter comes, she would take your place in daddy’s heart no it won’t happen that way we’ll both love her and my love for you would even be doubled.

After feeling and watching her grow in you for nine months God be with you on the delivery day. I hope to be there too, to stand by you, give you a hand to hold and watch you bring her to life. Through the pain that accompanies the little joy do not utter any negative utterances… none at all but with your mind and mouth say prayers for our coming Eve. My mom told me that such prayers are the best gift you can give the baby at that particular time, she says it strengthens the bond between mother and child and that prayers at such moments get guaranteed answer. I agree with her, because your utterances at that moment would typify your predefined aspirations for our child.

One of my professors here emphasizes on the importance of good nutrition for a child during early life, he says it helps the child to develop well physically, mentally, and emotionally. I agree with him too. I want our daughter to become a well rounded woman and I know you want that too so let us make sure we breast feed her for a long time one year is not too much is it? I also read that the emotional attachments of young children to their parents remain a cornerstone of psychological well-being in early childhood but, that as young children develop their sense of self awareness and learn to negotiate, compromise, resist, and assert their own preferences, they are likely to come into conflict with their parents. Therefore our approach to discipline and to conflict resolution has important effects on the quality of the parent-child relationship and our girl’s personality growth. If we treat her with iron hand and subdue her with authority and physical punishment for every wrong she does, I’m afraid she’ll comply but she may end up growing up to be a frustrated angry lady who would only pretend to be good to avoid abuse.

My lady, I want you to promise me that you’d be our daughter’s closest friend and tell her about someone who can see us everywhere at every time. That you’d listen to her respectfully allowing her to share her own views so that you’d know for sure where she needs help and promptly provide such help. You would neither over estimate nor under estimate her knowledge about sex and sexuality. Promise me you’d tell her about her own body on time, that you’d leave the duty to neither her school teacher nor her peers as that would spell doom. Please explain to her before hand about the red days of the month, do not call her names or beat her at menarche saying she had been sleeping around when you know exactly what is going on. If you do this you’d only push her to do what she suffered for unjustly. I know you won’t like that.

You’d give her a measure of freedom won’t you? But you won’t over pamper her. We would encourage her to tell us about her friends and bring them home so we could know them too. Would you tell her that any guy who insists on keeping her outside in the cold to discuss mundane things may be funny, witty, cocky or whatever but is really not the best for her? They are but selfish rakes. That she should also beware of those who seem too good and would in fact offer to take her pooh pooh in there mouth. Tell her about David Deangelo and his impious books. Tell her that virginity is not a disease, that it is a priced pride. Let her read the story of Dinah.

Whatever happens never disgrace or embarrass her in public, never talk evil of me before our daughter’s eyes and never bother her with our own little troubles. Sure you’d teach her with your own good examples won’t you?

I hope we would follow the good examples our parents laid in training us and learn from their mistakes too. Our daughter would be a well rounded and balanced youth wont she. I can not write everything in this epistle but I want you to have these fundamental things deep in your ticker well before our daughter comes. So that it can serve as a reminder, one that would constantly put in focus our need to strategize carefully.
Please keep this letter very well, give It to our daughter when she is eighteen tell her to pass it on and possibly add to it. Thank you my dear for being understanding. I love you

It is therefore surprising that more than three years after she tied the knot, Ini Edo Ehiagwina is still of the belief that she is still that explosive single lady.

These days, Ini Edo has been caught behaving more irresponsibly than when she was still a spinster. The plump dark-skinned actress who got married to Philip Ehiagwina, a US-based Nigerian divorcee has not come to terms three years into her marriage that she’s actually married, as she has at several times be sighted very odd hours at clubs in drunken state.The Calabar-born actress had reduced her club life to the barest minimum immediately she got married, but her recent appearance at clubs is raising suspicions that all may not be too well with her marriage. She was sighted at Club 10, Victoria Island in Lagos on the March 28, around 1a.m. and the state she was found in was not befitting a married woman. Sporting a black mini gown with white collar, Ini Edo arrived at the club dead drunk; she was in such a drunken state that she could not stand upright and could only stagger to her seat.

Those around could not help but comment that the Nollywood actress might have just rediscovered her appetite for booze as she would not leave until she had soaked herself in alcohol. They were wondering aloud as to the reason she decided to plunge herself back into a habit she worked so hard to get out of initially. It is not new that Ini Edo was a club and booze freak while she was single, but in her bid to launch herself into the married class, she had put a stop to the kind of life she was known for as a spinster and the return to the lifestyle may mean the rumour that all is not well with the marriage may after all not be unfounded.

Philip her husband who is based in the United States of America, has of late not been regular in the country and this may be adding strain to the union, with Ini Edo knowing fully well her husband’s prowess with women, a reason she had fought many ladies before and after their wedding to stay off her man. It is no secret how she was able to win the man from his first marriage to Ruth Okoro, how she had to fight a female journalist she thought was getting too close to the man before the marriage and how she warned several of her Nollywood friends to stay off her man after the marriage proper. And his continuous stay in America may have forced so many thoughts into her mind, which could be the reason she’s back to her reckless self.

It was even alleged that her inability to conceive after three years of marriage may also be mounting pressure on her relationship as it is suspected that the husband’s family has started raising eyebrows. Ini Edo and Philip tied the nuptial knots in 2009 in the United States of America after their traditional marriage in 2008.
Her failure to have an issue was initially said to be due to Ini Edo’s work and the husband residing abroad but three years down the line, tongues have started wagging and this may be having its own effect on the actres...toh!

The self-acclaimed bad boy of Nollywood is not controversy shy. Thriving vigorously on negative publicity, he has created a brand that has proven troublesome in recent times, generating juicy news for tabloids and blogs; and so rather than have strangers and the media tell his story on his behalf, Jim decides to allow a no-holds-barred access into his world, giving him the chance to present the facts of his life on his own terms.

“For once, I want people to see me with perspective devoid of prejudice and bias,” he said. “I want to give people an unguarded access to the entirety of my life.”

The show premiered on Thursday the 17th April and though it is only the first two episodes of a 13-week series, here are a number of facts we think you may like to know to help you decide whether to watch or not.

However, if this show was targeted at dispelling such rumours, it is an epic fail as in the pilot, we see Jim Iyke engage in an almost-violent exchange with his girlfriend of five years Keturah Hamilton, a Jamaican model. Our very first interaction with Jim Iyke on his own terms and we see him yell vigorously at his woman? To be fair, we see Keturah pull Jim by the neck, which would set most guys off, but he could have handled the situation with a little more finesse. Oh well, that’s the Jim Iyke he so desperately wants us to see, but he doesn’t appear different from the one we are all accustomed to, does he?

Nudiity on Display: Speaking to press at the launch of the show, Jim Iyke explained that there will be some times during the series where aspects of his body may have to be blurred for the convenience of younger viewers. “I walk around my house naked and since it’s an unscripted show about me, I figured why not let the cameras in on every aspect of my life; so yes, there will be nudity.” So ladies, if you are into that sort of thing, you just might want to keep your eyes glued to your screens.



Alcohol to go round: Unlike Omotola’s show where all she does is globetrot and have cameras follow her to shoots and meetings, with Jim, you get a whole lot more than boring interviews and church services. He goes partying in different clubs with his wild friends where they try to pick girls up while getting high on booze. Though Jim sticks to bottled water, he engages his friends and encourages them to get high and approach ladies on his behalf.

Love Story gone sour: So Jim Iyke doesn’t just play the lover boy on television, he is apparently in a turbulent relationship with girlfriend, Keturah, who is desperate to take things to the next level but Jim Iyke is obviously not ready to settle down as he is seen asking one of his friends at a club to help him retrieve another girl’s number while Keturah was distracted. Two episodes down and both show him engaged in a lovers brawl with his girl. Sounds like a Nollywood script gone bad right? Wrong! Its Jim Iyke’s life and times on full display.



Unscripted? More like script gone bad: If Jim’s idea of an unscripted reality series was to embarrass his Jamaican girlfriend, then he was spot-on, as since the series debut, she has been the butt of many jokes on blogs. Why? The Jamaican model aggressively attacked Jim Iyke just outside a club, claiming that he had ignored her all night acting like he was single. Well, if anyone was acting, it would have been Keturah, as she looked as though she was only playing out a role on a movie set. The fight didn’t ........

A Blackberry message made the rounds during the week, soliciting for support for the deceased’s mother.
The message read:

Peter further said “I feel his mum needs help. She claims that and currently she is not doing anything. Nothing is working at all for all these people. Our music industry is just a flop.”

Sources say Saka was paid a mouth watering N20m...he don hammer!. Who would resist the offer? Many questions however trail the move; didn’t Saka have an exclusive contract with Etisalat or was he being paid per campaign?
But that MTN Portability ad with Saka is arguably a greater coup than Sani Abacha's overthrow of Ernest Shonekan. Damn #Nigeria... My #free advice to Etisalat: Get Adrian Wood, Demola Elesho and Davido to do your own 'I don port o' ad haw haw haw...lol

The Nigeria Police on Monday arraigned 25-year-old Pastor Tommy Issachar over an alleged stealing of a married woman's underwear and N10,000 cash. The woman, Mrs Gift Bassey, is a member of the same church with him.

"The accused, a pastor of All Nations Evangelical Church in Oshodi, Lagos, was invited to a programme at the headquarters of the church which was the complainant's church.

"The complainant and her husband accommodated him (Pastor Issachar) in their house for three nights to conduct a special prayer session related to her husband's business...

The prosecutor Cpl. Kehinde Olatunde said, adding that after the pastor had left, the woman discovered that two of her pants (her only black and white pants), one black brassier and the sum of N10,000 were missing.

"In the process of finding, it was discovered that the said underwear were taken by the accused without the complainant's consent. At first, the accused (Pastor Issachar) denied taking the underwears but later confessed that he actually took them.

"He claimed that he wanted to use them to pray for her, but denied taking the money."

Cpl. Olatunde said that after the underwear was recovered from Pastor Issachar he had been sending series of threat text messages to the woman. "The accused always send her text messages, threatening to eliminate her on or before August ending," he added.

The offence was committed on April 12 at Mafoluku, Oshodi and contravened Sections 166 and 285 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State, 2011.

Pastor Issachar, who resides at 35, Mafoluku St., Oshodi, appeared before an Oshodi Magistrates' Court on a two-count charge of breach of public peace and stealing. He pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Section 285 provides that if convicted of stealing, Pastor Issachar is liable to three years imprisonment. The magistrate, Mr Akeem Fashola, granted him bail and adjourned the case till May 8 for trial.
