Panic as Residents Calls on Police Over Dead body found on Street at Umuahia North*

The students occupying GT quarters a lodge close to Abia State University extension Umuahia woke up and saw a dead body beside the lodge fence.

CDA news reports that they reported the matter to the police and called on appropriate authorities to help and take the dead body out of their street.

The undisclosed identity who contacted our correspondence says students who occupy the lodge have gone to Central police station and Ehimiri police station to report the incident.

We demand on all authorities come and evacuate the dead body before it will decompose and the stench odor will become worrisome.

We call on rescue for the occupants. reside on the street to avoid the pandemonium of the smell before it gets to a deplorable state by releasing stench unbearable odors into the environment.

Hon.Ginger Onwusibe Says they have filed a notice of Appeal.

After serial denial over the Judgement of Justice M N Yunusa of the Federal High Court Kano, the member representing Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency and lawmaker elect for Isiala Ngwa North and South Federal Constituency Hon Ginger Onwusibe and 84 other lawmakers elect and members of the Labour Party has filed a motion on notice asking the Federal High Court for a stay of execution order on the judgment sacking them from office.

CDA News reports had a few days ago the notice of Appeal was filed by the embattled Abia State Governor-elect Dr Alex Otti where he prayed to the Appeal Court to set aside his removal by the Federal High Court.

Hon Ginger Onwusibe Rt Hon Darlington Nwokocha, Hon Munachim Alozie, Mr. Ibe Okwara, Mr. Amobi Ogah, Sir Obi Aguocha, Mr Emeka Nnamani among others in the motion on notice filed at the Federal High Court Kano said they had also filed notice of Appeal at the Kano State Division of the Court of Appeal.

Justice M N Yunusa has ruled that the selection process leading to the emergence of labor party members elect and its only Governor-elect, Alex Otti did not comply with the requirements stipulated in the 2022 electoral act.

The Court maintained in paragraph 5 of its Judgement that Labour Party’s failure to submit its membership register to INEC at least 30 days before their primaries rendered the votes cast for them useless.

Up till this moment, their prayers have not been granted by the Court.

Although the group is not a political party, one of its main objectives is to foster unity among its members to more effectively represent the political interests of the Igbos in Nigeria.

As Abia state is moving forward with new government administration to take over.

Ahead of the inauguration of the Governor-elect Alex Otti on May 29, Miss Augustina Amarachi Oor, the Secretary General of South East Consultative Young Leaders Forum, has urged Abians to start building support and provide an enabling environment for the incoming government to succeed.

Odor made the call in Umuahia, the Abia State capital while briefing newsmen.

I am not happy with the way things are going wrong with the attack and Counter Attack on Media by Senator T A Orji’s Laison Officer Mr.Ifeanyi Umuere and The Chief Press Secretary Governor Barrister Emmamanka.

There is no perfect leadership my kind advice is for all parties to sheath the swords.

Abia State has been the most peaceful in the South East Geo-Political zone of Nigeria

We should now be building support and enabling environment for the incoming administration so that they could build up on the positive record of past administrations in all the major areas.

Every Administration will be remembered the legacy left behind.
